A testament to tradition...

Hoyo de Monterrey is a brand steeped in tradition. From its humble beginnings decades past, to the modern version of Hoyo with a vast portfolio of blends, it all started with tradition. To celebrate that, the folks at HdM have decided to grace us with the Hoyo de Monterrey Oscuro!

The Hoyo de Monterrey Oscuro uses a Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper, a first from HdM, atop an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and long-fillers from The Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Nicaragua. The Oscuro has plenty of flavor to go around, with medium-bodied notes of dark fruit, cocoa, cedar, a bit of earth, and spice every puff of the way.

A very muscular smoke…can almost feel it “flex” as you light it. Dark, rich, with thick aromatic clouds. One of those that when I light up, the wife comes into the room and says “WOW! That’s a nice cigar!”

Wow, wow, wow. It is just simply too good to be true. This cigar has complex flavors that start in the first third and are enjoyable down to the last part of the nub. The most amazing part is the price. I just can't wait for them to come off of back order to get more.
