The best HC Series yet. When HC first dipped thier toe in to the cigar game, doubters loomed around every corner. But ten 90+ ratings later, the cynics have been silenced and the brand is walkin' on sunshine. Now enter the newest cigar in the HC Series, the Habano squared. A de-lish box-pressed morsel destined for big things....very big things. As soon as HC ventured out to develop the Habano squared, nothing but the best would suffice. Everything from hand-selected leaves, down to the box-press were carefully thought out and executed. And the end result is extraordinary, because what awaits is a medium to full-bodied creation that is complex, uber-smooth and highly satisfying. Carefully crafted in Nicaragua, the blend starts with a hearty dose of patiently aged Honduran and Nicaraguan long-fillers. This rich core is hugged by an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, smoothing out and complementing these bold leaves. Finally, an Ecuadorian Habano 2000 wrapper is carefully draped over the outside, boasting ample oils and a seamless appearance. Together these tobaccos wrangle up an impressive display of white billowy smoke. Predominant notes of roasted nuts and pepper mingle with nutmeg, coffee, and cedar before a creamy finish. Impressive from beginning to end, the Habano squared is no doubt the shining star of the HC Series.
This is my first Xikar cigar as well. It is everything you would expect a classic premium cigar to be. Not too spicy, peppery, harsh or hot, yet not weak in any aspect. Wonderfully rich & satisfying aroma, and just a real pleasure to relax with out on my deck. I think that there are many cigars on the market that substitute brute strength for great flavor because it may be easier or cheaper to blend. I don't know. I know that this Habano2 was perfect for me. Try it!
I ordered a five pack of these to sample the brand and I think they are well made and a good value. Flavor is as advertised and construction is top notch. The wrapper is thick and appealing in color and the entire cigar is enjoyable from light to nub. I would recommend and would buy again ( after I finish trying the rest of the cigars they make first!)
After a month of rest in the humi, this cigar was a pleasant surprise. Draw, burn, and smoke are suburb! Flavor is complex though still mellow and simple enough to really enjoy that rare and special clean, pleasant tobacco taste. The backend is filled with notes of leather, farm, and lightly roasted coffee. I highly recommend at this price point!
HC Series Habano2 toro is the 1st Xikar cigar I have tried. Finding it in the AJ Fernandez Full Bodied Feast Mega Sampler saved me a bundle. By lighting one up within an hour of delivery, I am taking a chance, but to it's credit, Habano2 is performing well. Nice, even burn, a firm ash & distinctive full flavors compliment the flawless construction. Cedar & spices felt through the nose dominate, while earth tones caress the palate. Not too peppery or spicy, a step down from true full bodied, nonetheless quite powerful, no doubt driven by the Ecuadorian Habano 2000 wrapper & Sumatra binder employed. Honduran & Nicaraguan filler tobaccos make this 3 country blend a smooth, creamy delight. It's another AJ creation that demands our attention.
WOW!!! Creamy with a kick. Great stick.
It was the night before I would have to get all four of my wisdom teeth removed so I had to chose my last cigar before surgery wisely. Got this in the HC sampler and it stood out to me by its perfectly pressed construction. This was the first pressed cigar I've smoked and the way it confortably fit in my mouth made the experience more enjoyable. The cigar was amazing! It is a definitely a 90+ rating cigar in my opinion. Lots of smoke, great draw, and flavors were phenominal. Balanced and blended correctly. If you love Habano wrappers, look no futher. This is the one.
Had these right out of the box and they are now my favorite. They smoke well with lots of smoke. Nice ash.
I am smoking this beauty right now and all I can say is WOW. The flavor is wonderful, beautiful presentation, and draw is perfect. Great Job Xikar keep it up!
Pretty decent cigar. Nothing special but i cant say anything bad about it.
In the HC Series, I like the Criollo, love the Habano Colorado and lust after the Habano2. The sexiest and tastiest of the line.
Great tasting cigar with a balanced flavor.
