Continuing on the up and up.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, H. Upmann is a name you've heard a thousand times before. Complete with Cuban-roots dating back to 1844, and a history of top-selling blends, H. Upmann is well known for their smooth, flavorful handmades that deliver like clockwork. But not long ago, the brand underwent a bit of an overhaul. And to make a long story short, the results were tremendous. Now, H. Upmann continues to make strides forward with new and innovative blends. Case in point: H. Upmann Legacy.Without a doubt, the highlight of this blend is its core. Nicaraguan and Dominican long-fillers secured by a Nicaraguan binder. On paper it might sound like par for the course. But these tobaccos were carefully selected from a special, vintage crop dating back to 2008. Well-aged yet feisty, this core is paired with a dark-brown Ecuador Sumatra wrapper boasting an oily sheen and even color. This medium to full-bodied recipe yields a bold yet refined profile as hints of cream, nuts, cedar, spices, and cocoa are delivered through an even burn. With all that this handmade brings to the table, it sure ain't your run-of-the-mill H. Upmann. But that's definitely a good thing. H. Upmann Legacy received a well-deserved 90-rating noting: "Initial touches of coffee bean and toasty notes precede zesty orange peel flavors that culminate in a pleasant, apple-like finish."
The Legacy is nothing short of its name, spectacular from Start to finish.H.Upmann created a blend of fillers that leaves your Palate begging for just a little more. The oily leaf made for an Amazing finish to an Amazing Cigar!!!!!!!! Well done,I now have a new Favorite cigar........
Smoking a Toro right now and its absolutely delicious. The flavors have been evolving from the start. I'm at the halfway point and getting subtle nuances of red wine and cedar. I think they say these were made with vintage tobacco, and I believe it, there is a tasty finish that lasts LONG on the palate. Can't see how anybody could not like these. Word of advice: don't smoke these too fast or in the wind, their are subtleties that you could miss, another reason I'm buying the well aged tobacco claim.
The H Upmann Legacy is a medium bodied smoke. Dominant flavors are of creamy nuttiness, hints of cedar tobacco and spice. Construction was good, draw was excellent. Finish was of nuttiness that started out long. Overall I rate a 89
Really like the Upmann Legacy..bought it while looking for the Havoc and was pleasantly surprised by the flavorful taste
What an underrated, largely overlooked, tasty piece of smokin' goodness. I love this cigar and hate to see it so overlooked. Beautifully made every time and an absolute pleasure to set ablaze.
