The Status quo...
Gurkha Status is an ultra-premium, mellow to medium-bodied offering that'll rival any top-shelf name you can imagine. A truly luxurious cigar, each Status lives up to its bold name thanks to top-notch aesthetics, delicious flavors, and unrivaled quality. Draped in a magnificent Connecticut shade wrapper, Status looks splendid and delivers a lovely bouquet to match. The underlying Dominican long-leaf core is bound with a heavily fermented Dominican binder, making the Status silky-smooth and buttery throughout. Accompanying the smooth, scrumptious subtleties of cream, cedar, and sweet tobacco is an easy draw and flawless burn. You owe it to yourself to grab a Status most expeditiously.
Got one in the Gurkha grab. Wow!
Been through many a cigar in my day, but the Gurkha Status is my favorite. Will continue to smoke'em as long as they're around. I've had more compliments on the aroma than any other cigar; especially from women.
Excellent construction in all facets. Smoked really well, sharp draw, excellent tight white ash, consistent throughout. Smoke production was solid throughout also. Did not have to double puff to get a good draw, very smooth and easy. As far as taste goes, this is a one dimensional mild cigar. The end of the first third gives you the most variety in taste, then it quiets down and stays consistently mellow during the second and final third. A very mild pepper was present during the first third, kind of a light grass or hay taste was consistent throughout. Not much more flavor going on with this. Flavor definitely is lacking here. Would be just a good walking around stick or mid day chill out stick. 2.5/5 stogies.
Just got done smoking one that I got for free from CI nation an I must say that's one of thee best cigar I had in a while. I was very satisfied from start too finish. These should be in everybody's humi if you can afford them.
A good mild to medium cigar. Description of taste is true, as hints of cedar and sweet cream could be detected. Even burn and no issues with draw or construction. Another hit from Gurkha!
Gurkha status maduro torpedo review. A mild to medium smoke. Flavors were dominant of sweet nuttiness, dark cocoa, dry coffee and molass. Medium finish that leaves a sweet nutty flavor on palate. Construction issues was the very tight draw due to abundant packing of tobacco. Burn was even, adequate smoke output once tightness resolved. Overall a 91 in my book
I'm an old pro at cigars with a palate that loves smooth flavor and bellows of smoke. The Gurkha Status hits on all points and finishes with steady creamy smoky notes. Well done CI....Well done.
Got my Status in a sampler. Started really tight but tasted good. Half way opened up and wow, nice smoke. Straight burn lots of smoke and beautiful creamy flavor. Smooth and clean finish. Will buy more!
I had a torpedo natural last night. Excellent product! Perfect burn, super-white ash, deep blue smoke, easy draw. The flavor was fantastic, starting rich and mellowed out on the second third of the stick. There was a note of sweetness on the wrapper. Also a long finish. What else can I say? I'd rate this up with the best; 90+.
The maduro, along with RP Edge Maduro are mainstays in my humi...an excellent smoke for a steal!
My first Gurkha and one of my favorite cigars.
I got the Status as part of a sample from CI and I'm really glad it came with two! These sticks are remarkably smooth, creamy, and a butter texture. The 6.5x52 smoked for more than an hour and I still didn't want to put it down. Delicious smoke. I compare them to Rocky Patel Connecticuts, but the Status is actually quite a bit better.
I think Gurhka has gotten a bad rap from a lot of people and it's turned me off in the past. After smoking the Status, I can say I am now a fan. This medium cigar is beautifully constructed with great balance and a distinct spice profile, kinda reminds me of Indian/Middle Eastern herbs. It's a pleasurable and unique experience.
My prior review regarding GURKHA STATUS MADURO, should have read "a little tight on the draw"...apologies. However, since letting them rest for only an additional two weeks in one of my humidors...Now... Perfect in everyway...Top ratings in all areas......including the draw!...As has been my experience with all Gurkha's... Best of the Best!!!
Gurkha Status Maduro Torpedo...Excellent wrapper, smoke output, flavor and construction...BUT...a little too "loose" on the draw...Had three to this point and all were all a little tight....Will let the remaining "sleep" for awhile and see it they lossen up!...Regardless...a "WINNER" Would buy again!
Got a Torpedo Maduro in a sample pack. This was such a great smoke I bought 10 more to make sure it was as good as I thought, and it was. No disappointment with this cigar. Smokes great, even, burns well and I thought it had a great and not over bearing flavor.
Love the maduro torpedo! The smoke is light, but has a hearty taste. Really smooth with great construction. A WINNER
"WOW".Congrats.Top shelf!must try..nuff said...
This is an outstanding cigar. These run about $8.00 -$9.00 at CI, but if you shop the site they can be had for something like $3.50 when packaged in a sampler or special. Really a great mild to medium smoke that you will seek out once you try the first one. No flaws just darn good.
A strong recommendation for these medium bodied smokes. These arrived as part of a sample package with a price of $3.50. Well worth twice that from CI and likely $10 - $12 at your local shop. These are just a step below the outstanding Gurkha Beauties which run over $20.00 each even from CI. Do yourself a kindness and try these.
this cigar is amazing very smooth taste and rich flavor i would recomend this cigar to everybody
