Graycliff G2 Maduro

It’s time to welcome G2’s newest addition to the family.

Graycliff G2 managed to bring an upper echelon brand down to the masses, and for this reason it gained a massive following. That’s certainly easy to do when you offer a top-notch cigar at a palatable price point. Those die-hard G2 fans had some requests, and as it turns out, the crowd pleasers at Graycliff were listening. In order to appease the demands of their consumers, Graycliff introduced the next extension in the G2 portfolio: Graycliff G2 Maduro.

G2 Maduro utilizes the same Dominican and Nicaraguan long-fillers as its older brother, but this time the wrapper leaf adds a welcomed twist into the equation. Adorning this beauty is a Pennsylvania Broadleaf maduro wrapper, which gives G2 Maduro additional body and complexity. Brimming with notes of cocoa, spice, and cream, G2 Maduro is sure to become a new staple pick in your rotation.

The Graycliff g2 is a great cigar, just like all Graycliff cigars.

Just ok
These cigars are ok for working in the yard on in my case on a hot roof. They are about what I would expect for the price I paid. Nothing special from Graycliff at this price point. CI's service however is second to none!!

Decent maduro
Usual maduro flavors like molasses, much better after a week or so in the humi. Overall, worth the money.

Dry, couldn't bring it back to life. Taste like the corn silk I started smoking years ago.

I've enjoyed these cigars. Good flavor. Good burn. Good draw. Great deal for the money.

Almost great
I got a 5 pack of the G2 maduro PGXL, let them sit 3 days from receiving them. I normally wait atleast 7 but I was anxious because they looked so so delicious. #1 has terrible construction, the preceding frontline part of cigar expanded and burst open all the way to the half way point. So I just chucked it. One week later I tried #2, a lot better, perfect burn and draw, cigar has a mild chocolate flavore, was very hollow tasting but decent. I’ve had one more #3 and it was perfect just like #2, taste does leave something be be desired, but not a terrible cigar my any means

Check them carefully
So far, about half of them have holes in the wrapper. It does make the draw more difficult but if you can place your finger tips over the holes, it makes them smokeable. Once that is accomplished, they are great smokes. I have always enjoyed the Graycliff G2 cigars, they are very good, even to the last puff.

Should call them 'Graycliff Chemical Maduro'
Draw is open which I like. Wrapper is rough and gritty. Taste is weirdly flavorful ... chocolaty in an odd sort of way that's very different from the chocolate tastes from other cigars. The deal breaker is that these cigars leave my mouth feeling dry and they make the roof of my mouth feel slick, kind of like the lining has been chemically burned into some type of plastic. I won't buy them again.

Graycliff G2 Maduro
Excellent draw. Smooth but the flavor is strong and somewhat odd, almost like they are infused. Leaves my mouth feeling coated and dry, almost like it turns my mouth lining into plastic. Too limit this sensation, it helps to take small puffs and lots time in between tokes.

Good everyday stick.
Very nice stick. Put in the humidor for some aging. After a few weeks. Nice & smooth. A great every day smoke. Good draw nice burn. Little lite on the flavors. With some more time in the box it should bring some more out.

Good cigar for the money.
This is a good Mild/medium cigar that smokes well and has a nice flavor when it is not too dry. I like to keep them about a week to ten days in the humidor before I start smoking them.

G2 Maduro Pirate
Outstanding cigar! I have been smoking Maduro cigars for a long time and this is my favorite by far. It is the ONLY Maduro cigar I buy now and that should be enough said.

G2 is for You...
A smooth smoke. Well constructed, burns evenly, has an earthy and a "coffee-spicey" finish as it burns through its length. Definitely a good deal from CI.

G2 MADURO: MUY BUENO
I just picked up a 2nd box on MMAO and will let them rest a while. I'm a big fan of Diesel Unlimited maduro and Oliva Series V but for a change of pace and killer price, these fit the bill. I live in Mexico and have limited options other than via online purchases and CI has been the 'go to' spot for a few years. I've never been into the Graycliff line but these maduro toros work for me. It's worth checking out a 5 pack to give em try.

Just needs a little time in humidor

I second the coco puffs.
I had to laugh at an earlier reviewer who compared the taste to coco puffs but its spot on. A very pleasant smoke.

A truly great smoke!
I have always loved a good Maduro, and have been itching to try these G2s. It's an exceptional combination of bold flavor and smooth body. They arrived in great condition and have become one of my favorites!

Regret
Bought these on the bid site and regret it. Construction and burn are excellent but even after 3 months in the humidor they have a stale aftertaste. Will let these sticks sit another 3 months.

Good Cuban Sandwich cigar...
These are really good Cuban Sandwich cigars, NOT LONGFILLERS. Good flavor, even burn, but no complexity throughout burn.

Not like the Turbo, these have a taste of their own.
After reading an early review that these may have been the old G-2 Turbo, I ordered a box. About a week after they arrived I lit one up. I should have waited. Now after 3 months in the humidor I find they are a decent smoke but not anything like the G-2 except for the strength and body. The cocoa flavor I tasted wasn't sweet at all, rather it was like the unsweetened baker's chocolate, dry but not bitter. The spice was there but mingled into the earthy chocolate throughout. The G-2 Turbo had the spice hit you right away and fade into the last 1/2 of the stick and was sweeter. These are not a bad cigar, they had a good draw and if you like a dry unsweetened cocoa mingled with spice, they are fine.

Not what I expected
Not even close to the G2 regular and Habano Robustos I picked up at Graycliff in Nassau. There was and off flavor from the very start before firing up, to the initial puff to 2/3 through. There were bits and pieces continually flaking off in the mouth, almost like a cheap drugstore cigar. Uneven burn on all of them, and hard to keep lit. I have tried to smoke 6 of these , with the last 3 sitting in the humidor for almost 2 months. The flavor never improved from the beginning to the end - which I never finished one of them - couldn't, and have no intention of smoking any more of these. The G2's that I picked up in Nassau were some of the best cigars that I've had. The one good thing is that I started searching for some Graycliff G2's when I returned to the states, and that's when I found CI. I have bought several other cigar brands from CI since, and all of the others have been excellent , as has the service. I may try the G2's again, some Regular and probably the Habanos, but it will be singles only, until I can confirm that they are the same as the ones I picked up in Nassau.

Nice stick
I was very pleased with this cigar, having purchased the original G2 many times. This one is a little richer in flavor and really hits the mark in the last 3rd. I've smoked my share of the boutique Graycliffs from the Nassau factory which are beyond amazing, but way out of my budget. These don't really seem related at all except in name, but can stand on their own for an affordable, well constructed, flavorful cigar. Way to go CI!

My favorite stick
My favorite stick. Started buying these at the casino in Atlantis Bahamas on vacation for the past 7 years and finally bought a humidor and ordered a few boxes from CI so i can enjoy them all year round

Cocoa Puffs smooth!
Just like the original G2 with the extra chocolately smoothness you would expect from a qulaity broadleaf Maduro. I'm having trouble coming up with the right flavor so....remember when, as a kid you, loved the chocolately taste of Cocoa Puffs cereal....welcome back!

Your service is great. My only compliant would be that some of your deals contain cigars that have a hard draw.

Worth a try
Just received them a couple of days ago. I was able to try one today. Good even burn, great taste, love the maduro flavor. I placed them in my humidor for now. Will try again next week. Great deal on the Daily Deal. Good way to try something new.

freshness
Normally I do not order cigars when the temps are high. However I did and was very pleased that they were in perfect condition and ready to smoke. Normally I wait and let my mail order cigars rest for at least 2 mths. Thank You

Great Smokes - Great Service
The selection is endless, the cigars are conditioned, and they usually come the next day, sometimes for free. If you call, a person answers who knows how to help you!

Bummer!
i was very disappointed with the taste of these sticks. I would have sent them back, but I kept giving them a try. I thought the 1st, 2nd, 3rd was just a fluke. They all tasted bad. They had a chemical after taste.

Graycliff Excellence
I 'm a huge Graycliff fan and for the $ this is a good smoke. Could be rolled a bit tighter but still a great value!
Customer Testimonials
All I can say is WOW! I tried the toro size. Rich chocolate with sweet spices. Very smooth and midway you get hit hard with short leather blasts that fade into a long chocolate finish. A very long finish. If you like rich chocolate with hints of sweet spice, then this is a must try.
Right now I'm reaching the nub of one of these sticks and I tell you, for the price and taste of one of these I'll definitely be buying some in the very near future. At first I was skeptical of the taste, but after getting a quarter of the way through I was sold. It's a decent draw, and a good pairing to my drink for the night. I'll definitely be buying some in the future. I'm glad I received it as a pair from taking part in the Cigar of the Month Club.
I could be mistaken, but this may be the former G2 "Turbo" that I purchased for years. Of the Graycliff series, the Turbo was my favorite stick. I am purchasing of a box today to throw in the humidor for a few years. This is a fantastic cigar, well blended with a hearty smoke-filled aroma. When I smoke this cigar, passerby enthusiasts always ask, "What cigar is it?" No other cigar that I smoke can do that.
