A delicious step up from the traditional Excalibur 1066.

Within the legendary Excalibur 1066 line of Hoyo de Monterrey, one will find the beautiful Dark Knight. This enticing handmade is built with a dark and oily natural Connecticut Havana wrapper. This leaf is thick and chewy, hugging a complex mixture of Dominican, Honduran, and Nicaraguan long-fillers. The result is a bold, medium to full-bodied smoke layered with rich, complex flavors. Expect a chewy, leathery core with hints of coffee, cocoa, and sweet, peppery undertones. When it comes to Excalibur, the Dark Knight is as good as it gets!

As far as the burn goes it needs a little touch up now and again. Or maybe just a little more time to even out in my humidor. It does make good smoke. Have a nice even finish.

There are so many cigars out there now and most of them are good, probably really good, however this is a cigar that I HAVE to have in my rotation. Maduros are my favorite type of cigars and this cigar has everything I love about a maduro. Look, feel, taste, burn, flavor and just the right strength.
