A masterpiece returns. In 2011, Dark Rituals quickly made plenty of fans during its very brief time in E.P. Carrillo’s Edicion Limitada series. And then it was gone, sold out and leaving everyone clamoring for more...Now, the brand is back and burning better than ever. Known as Dark Rituals, this rich and powerful handmade comes dressed in an absolutely gorgeous Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper extra-fermented to achieve a pitch-black hue and oily sheen. Beneath the hood, a robust blend of Nicaraguan long-fillers is combined inside a feisty Ecuadorian binder. The cigar is exceedingly complex and eventful, unveiling expertly balanced notes of dark tobacco, roasted coffee bean, and leather with a hefty dose of hearty but semi-sweet spices throughout the chewy bouquet.
Just got my ten pack in the mail, tore it open and lit a stick right away(I usually let them rest, but I have heard good things about that last release of this cigar(2011?). I have heard this one isn't as good, BUT from my first impression, I really liked it and I smoked it down till I was burning my fingers. Great flavor and volume of smoke. I am leaning towards ordering another pack! I wanted to age some, but I don't know if they will last that long in my humidor. I might have to buy another pack and hide them in my long term storage humidor.
This is a *very* tasty stick - glad I'm in COMC or it might not have crossed my radar.
Received this as one of the cigars of the month. It was a nice constant smoke. Not over powering but strong in background. Like a strong cup of Earl Gray tea.
