E.P. Carrillo has been in the cigar industry for decades. Starting with the now-famous La Gloria Cubana brand and eventually moving on to opening a new company bearing his last name, E.P. Carrillo is affectionately referred to as the Godfather of boutique cigars. His innovative and exceptional blending abilities are responsible for some of the most highly acclaimed cigars in the bizz', and now we've got a new limited edition to drool over.
As far as the blend is concerned, it's a doozie. It begins with a 10-year aged Mexican San Andres wrapper atop a 15-year aged Nicaraguan Jalapa binder, with a long-filler medley of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos beneath. The result is an incredibly complex and in-your-face blend that demands your full attention. Cocoa, baking spices, cedar, and black pepper grab hold of your taste buds and don't let go long after you've taken your last puff.
