Dos Gonzalez

Two Gonzalez’s?

Elian? Luis? Tony? Gonzo from The Muppets? When these dark and rustic bundled cigars ran across my desk, I was at a loss as to which ‘Gonz’ was behind them. After a little research, it appears that all of my well-thought-out guesses were way off. So here’s the skinny – Dos Gonzalez is made in the Dominican Republic as a tribute to the long-time tobacco expert, Felix Gonzalez. Felix’s moto was that one could only truly know tobacco when it was touched. And his words have never been more true that with the blend boasting his name.

Initially crafted for the European market, Don Gonzalez comes in economical 10-count bundles. Featuring a chocolaty-brown Colorado Maduro wrapper on top of Dominican and Mexican fillers, this gritty handmade gets right down to the point. Flavors of cream and dried fruit quickly lead into rich hints of coffee and leather. For the price I’m slapping on these bad boys, the minor blemishes on the wrappers are easy concessions to make for the level at which these bargain sticks perform. If you’re looking for something to fill the shoes of your go-to ‘yard gar’, Dos Gonzalez will most certainly fit the bill.

I absolutely love these!!! Highly recommend to other ladies who smoke
Being a woman, I don't know that I am the best one to review a cigar, I smoke 2-3 a month tops. However, this cigar blew me away from the first draw! It doesn't give you that burny feeling on your tongue that I get from most cigars. It was a pleasure to smoke and made me sad when it was over. Highly recommend to people who like a very smooth smoke. Only thing is, I just looked to order more, and it says OUT OF STOCK! WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Come on CI, get it together baby!

Decent cigar
Overall these were decent, a few were very dry and didn’t burn evenly, but you get what you pay for. I would likely buy again.

Fine smoke
I have enjoyed sever since my purchase and I would have dove 5 stars but in the last third keeping them light has been an issue, other than that, they are very satisfying.

A ladies cigar
I smoke a cigar once or twice a month but I still know when a stick is superb. This is the smoothest cigar I have had in a very long time, and I hated when it got to the end, I wanted to light up another one but restrained myself. I am looking forward to Friday night, glass of good Zinfandel and a Dos Gonzalez Corona!

Great value - Good cigar
I purchased them for a cigar bar that I set up at my party and everyone loved them. I thought it had a decent flavor and smoke to it.

New Brand For Me
Though this cigar is an "economy" buy, I expected more. It is not rolled too tightly, but it seems hard to keep lit and goes out often when it is first lit. About half way through, it becomes easier to smoke. Overall, it is not too bad, bud don't pay full price for it.

Pretty good
Nice smooth smoke. Everyday type I would say. Good deal!

good value
I bought these on a whim and was pleasantly surprised at the flavor and construction. As we all know, it can be hit or miss when buying a cheaper cigar but these seem to be a good offering! there is mot much complexity but flavor is good despite being pretty much a one flavor cigar. they burn well and for the price are a good daily value. I have purchased five ten packs so far and will buy again. yes, I wish they were more flavorful but they seem a solid value for an everyday smoke so I recommend them.

GOOD CIGAR!
First of all kudos to CI for the prompt delivery, packaging well done came with a cedar sheet, nice well constructed stick good draw, nice tight light charcoal grey ash. It's a little milder than I expected but still a good smoke nice and creamy with suttle hints of coffee and leather, I didn't really notice any dried fruit but maybe after a week or two in the humidor that will change,we'll see.All in all definitely worth the price, you just can't lose,I'm going to be ordering more!

Dos Gonzalez
Nice cigar, but the main wrapper tends to unravel near the end...

A Terrific Budget Buy
This is a very well-constructed stick, with a perfect draw, good burn, tight ash, nice cherry, a bit large as coronas go, which I really like. Delicious medium-bodied cigar with pleasant light peppery finish.

perfect . . . good . . . tight . . . nice . . . pleasant
“Flavors of cream and dried fruit quickly lead into rich hints of coffee and leather,” describes my experience perfectly. I’m sure if it had a CT Shade wrapper instead of Maduro, it would be just exactly to my tastes, but Maduro is nice too sometimes. This is a very well-constructed stick, with a perfect draw, good burn, tight ash, nice cherry, a bit large as coronas go, which I really like. Very pleasant light peppery finish.

Dos Gonzalez Coronas
The first couple were a bit bland and tasteless till I let them sit in my humidor for a couple weeks to meld w/ my other gems and BAM!! Not bad at all. Pretty tasty, nice and oily. Good cigars, even greater for the money! :)
