The first one I smoked had an effortless draw. This is a stronger blend than the other cigars in this line but I like that. Pairs well with a lighter bourbon or flavored one. Love this cigar

Great everyday medium smoke. This is one I can have morning or night I’m im just looking to burn one. It’s nothing incredible but it holds its own. Burns are usually pretty consistent as well as the flavor profile the whole way through. I definitely suggest this to anyone looking for a cheap every day smoke!

These are the best Don Rafael makes. Smooth with plenty of flavor. Construction (burn) is good. Smooth smoke thru the entire smoke. It does have an ash. For the money its hard to beat these smokes.

I just ordered these cigars and they came in yesterday, I smoked one today and was surprised. This cigar has a good draw,burns evenly/ cool and has a good taste that isn’t harsh on the tongue.

I just picked up a box of these cigars, I was hesitant to buy a full box as I never tried them. I smoked one on 06/30/22, and was pleasantly surprised. It is a very good cigar that has a good draw, even/cool burn with good taste that isn’t heavy on the tongue. I will purchase these again for a cheap everyday smoke!

I've smoked Don Rafael for years. This is the second time I have ordered this cigar and it is a great smoke. Wrapped well so the draw is smooth and I can smoke them down to the nub's and still a smooth taste and draw. Great cigar for the money.

It's a very decent cigar for the price. I've smoked 2 so far and am fairly happy. The second smoke got really hot toward the end otherwise some very defined notes that make it very pleasant until it got close to the ring. Will continue to keep in stock in my humidor.

Would rate it just OK. It's not bad for an everyday smoke. However, it didn't have a tremendous amount of flavor. More like just smoking tobacco. It's low cost, so for the price it's OK.

I'm a writer who likes having a cigar in the afternoons as I sit outdoors with my computer. These Churchills are mild, flavorful, and remain consistently so all the way down to the nub. Which takes about two hours. Perfect.

They burn clean i was expecting a cheap poor quality smoke and I was surprised to find that these are a really good deal for the guy who is looking for a great every day cigar.

To put it plainly, you’re getting what you pay for. The cigars came well wrapped and had good draw. The flavor was mediocre. Could’ve had more flavor, but for a light cigar it’s what I expected. The cigar burned pretty evenly throughout the smoke. At times it would burn uneven, but with a quick relight you were back to an even burn. Was a descent light bodied cigar.

I have my humidor set at 70% I purchased the Nicaragua blend. At first the cigars were difficult to draw. But I liked the taste. I cut about an inch off the top and inch off the bottom. Well now this cigar was the perfect smoke. I think the top and bottoms r wrapped too tightly. That is just my opinion. Will I buy again. Absolutely. Nice taste.

The price to flavor on these cigars is excellent. A good everyday cigar. The burn is pretty good, I will say a few of these have had some issues, whether it is the wrapper being cracked or the draw being a bit tight. However for the cost I think these cigars a good deal.

A great price for a cigar size I usually don't like to smoke. I usually smoke #77 size, but trimming the end worked perfectly. Burn was even. Been a fan of the Don Rafael Cigars for years. Rarely have I ever been disappointed with their cigars. I think its part of the Victor Sinclair line

Like all the other Don Rafael cigars, the Nicaragua Toro, burns evenly, produces a long solid ash, never needs a re-light and is just an overall relaxing cigar to smoke with mild flavors. And it won't break the bank.

Good cigar for the price! The burn is mostly even throughout the whole smoke, it has a nice mild and rich oak flavor when the cigar is fully warmed up! It’s easy to draw from it! It’s a nice cigar if you are not into full bodies!

looking to shake up my nightly cigar routine with a toro-I've had most success with torpedos (don't know why-great question if I ever meet someone smart enough to explain) but this cigar has stood up. Really gets tasty and smooth about 1/2 way in.

A good smoke for around 2 dollars. Has a golden wrapper. Mild and smooth. Well rolled good draw. Burned slow cool and even. Nice flavors of coffee, nuts and toasty bread. CI runs great deals and I got a beautiful 12 cigar international Churchill sampler as a promo along with my box. I shop around and they have some of the best deals right here at CI.

I smoke about 25 cigars a week. It’s had to smoke a good quality cigar without going broke. So I buy supplement my quality cigars with bundles. The Don Rafael Nicaragua is a 5 star smoke at a bundle price. Excellent stick! 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Much better than cornsilk rolled in newspaper. Still, not sure why it was represented as Medium-Full flavor, as it didn't have very much. Sorta disappointing.

Hate to rate a cigar I like. Others try it and then I either can't afford it or its backordered. So with that being said this cigar is really "terrible".

my size for cigars. look good. good packaging. but find them dry. outer wrap keeps peeling away so very disappointed at this purchase.

Good smoke burns evenly, not strong but a good medium taste. Very likeable as I smoke one or two a day.

Some cigars burned uneven and some went out halfway down.

I have enjoyed these cigars in the past as my every day smoke, and have sung their praises for some time.... however, it seems they no longer have a "Quality Control", as the last four boxes I have purchased seem to have every third or forth stick plugged tighter than a frogs ass in huricane. I sent back 2/3 of a box back last month, and have had six (so far) out of this current box. Save yourself the frustration, and choose another brand !!!

I thought the draw was a bit hard and flavor lacking but my friends like them . They thought the cigar had good flavor.They actually want to order more. I guess it is me.My friends recommend them.

These are a decent smoke, price point be darned. As a fan of Nicaraguan cigars, the low cost brought me in to see if I could use them as a "daily". They more than fill the bill! Zesty and subtle at the same time, spice is undeniable with loads of flavor. The construction is on point, burning evenly, and really billows clouds of smoke. Quite the charmer! Top shelf to impress your friends? Nah. Sit back after a day at work with your feet up? Yeah.

I have now ordered three boxes of Don Raphael because, for me, they are a great everyday smoke. They meet my budget and they are a good smooth smoke!

A quality robusto, which you would expect to pay much more for, this corona offers a wholesome wrapper that is semi-oily and slightly veiny. Cap and wrapper are of good construction and do not unravel when cut or while smoking; the somewhat large label comes off easily as well. The cigar is just right to the touch, not too hard nor soft, and the ash indicates it to be a quality smoke. The burn is neither too fast nor slow and happily, the cigar never requires re-lighting, but rather it provides a steady draw all the way through, with light and even smoke. It is definitely a full-bodied cigar, very peppery, which someone may construe as somewhat harsh. It has nuances of leather and cocoa and I would recommend it to those who enjoy a stronger smoke. Definitely a good bargain.

I bought two 20-pack samplers of Don Rafael smokes earlier this year. While the Gold churchills are my favorite of the bunch. (Love the sweetened tip - which is a style used in Western Cuba, in the Pinar del Rio area.) and the Connecticuts are a straight down the middle mild and tasty smoke, these black label Nicaraguan were bitter. I gave up after smoking several of them half way thru. Construction is fine: All of these offer a loose construction, and fast draw to compliments their consistent taste. Two stars for price and consistency, but I'd never buy the black label Nicaraguans by themselves.

As with all the Don Rafael cigars these sticks are very well made. Consistent long ash and smooth clean draw with a pleasant smoke with no bitter after taste. Definitely recommend these for an everyday cigar. The Nicaragua's are nicely packaged and the label is first class.

The first thing you notice is the gleeming black wooden box... nice presentation. The contructions is exactly what you expect from a high quality Puro.... A rich Nicaraguain taste with an even burn from start to finish. A very enjoyable cigar; so much that you will need that old roach clip to finish it off.... it's that good !

Smooth, consistent taste, and seclusionary friend that helps with the days passing by. And a great way to bring the friends and family together for a smoke and a spirit! Like I say; I've been as fan!!!

This is my everyday cigar. I have purchased many different brands from CI and this cigar is easy, and burns great.

This review is on the robusto version. As another wrote, this cigar ROTT tends to be a bit more mellow than a medium strength rating IMHO. Construction was a bit weaker than other Don Rafael's I've had, but not bad. On a good note, the burn was fairly even all the way through, without need to relight. Flavor increased the longer the smoke went on. Smoke volume was good and the draw was right where it should be. Aroma is what I would describe as being "neutral" - not offensive or extra pleasing. Of interesting note, the box for these is a nice step up in construction from previous Don Rafaels - so they will arrive nice and secure. I will be saving these for days I want a slightly smoother smoke.

Hey C.I. This is the new addition to the D.R. lineup. Was pleasantly surprised with this cigar,,,have had the D.R. before but never this one it is new in their lineup. This is a wonderful addition to their lineup,,great construction,,,,burns evenly all the way to the nub,,,,and has a medium to full flavor. The price is also at a level that I can smoke one most every day without breaking the bank. This cigar will only improve with time in the humidor,,,tobacco a bit young,,,,needs some time,,,but can be smoked now. Will order again,,,and put some away for long term aging. Ted M. Ohio

Cigar has a great flavor and burns well. A few of the cigars wrappers peeled back while smoking. Overall a good cigar for the price.

This cigar was very salty, lacked in any taste. I'm going to set them aside and let them age for awhile. I was not happy nor impressed with this cigar. The box smells of glue and another very unpleasant smell.

You won't be disappointed doing with CI

Not a bad everyday smoke but after five or so of them I prefer the Don Rafael Maduro much better for an everyday stick.

Have been ordering from CI for years. They never have the correct address information and it's always a conflict. Love the cigars, however, their phone ordering process stinks.

You really can't beat this cigar for the price. I've ordered boxes to never be disappointed with a bad burn, loose pack or too mild. By the end of this cigar, you have just enough of a good buzz going to be done and ready for bed. Luckily, this cigar lets you sleep.

Expected more from Don Raphael, even at this price point. I've experienced some so loosely packed, they were hard to keep lit; uneven burning; and lack of consistency.

This is a smooth class act cigar. Nice labels, good burn/ash. Packed just right with lots of flavor to boot. Yes the wrappers can be a bit delicate and sometimes look a little discolored, but...This new Don is a wallet and pallete pleaser.
