Don Pepin Garcia Serie JJ

A wonderful cigar bearing the name of its world renowned maker.

Don 'Pepin' Garcia is currently making some of the world's finest cigars. More often than not, the name Tatuaje comes to mind immediately upon hearing his name. This is just one of his masterpieces which are known to rival the flavor, character and experience of your finest Cuban cigars.

Serie JJ is another. Created by Pepin and his son Jaime, this fine handmade employs a wonderful blend of Nicaraguan Corojo and Criollo long-leaf tobaccos inside a flavorful Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper. The result is a full-bodied smoke layered with deep flavors. The aroma is earthy and spicy, complementing the rich, leathery flavors perfectly.

Don Pepin Garcia Serie JJ is handmade in Miami, in order to maintain a high level of quality control, making this a rare treat for the senses. Quantity is extremely limited.

Good not great
The first time I smoked the Serie JJ it was excellent. This batch may need more humidor time. However the further down I smoked it the better and richer the flavors. I'll buy it again but not at list price !"

Ok nothing special
Burn was uneven and first one smoked had filler/binder issues near mouth of cigar where it protruded into the wrapper. Taste was actually good, just hate the constant relighting issues

Enjoy this one
Never had these before but wanted to get some cigars I never had before to take on vacation with me. This was an excellent smoke from every aspect from construction to taste. A bit strong which I like. This is definitely going to be in my rotation from now on.

Just what you would expect.
Just what you would expect. Peppery goodness

Good but not strong enough
I like the creamy flavor and the burn but wish that the blend will have more complexity. Still a great cigar

Great Stick!
I'd tried the Serie JJ a while ago at my local cigar shop. I enjoyed it so much that I had to get more, and this pack fit the bill. It starts off with some spice and pepper, but mellows out to leather, earth, and just a hint of chocolate. You won't be sorry you picked these up!

Smoothest Draw ever
This Cigar is the highest quality. The smoothest draw ever. The first third starts off kinda plain(for a Pepin) then the flavor kicks in all the way to the end. Fantastic Cigar

Classic!
DPG is da man! His blends are off the chart and this one is no different. A true classic!

Great cigar
Very impressive smooth smoke plenty of flavor. Hard to beat, especially for the price.

Quality smoke
Only gave 4star because flavor is not what I expected from pepin. Well constructed, good burn, good draw, lacks flavor! The Blacks and Blues are much better. Overall though good smoke!

Another solid Pepin showing
The Serie JJ is a bit different from the other Pepin sticks. It has some of the classic attributes - the great construction, copious amounts of smoke, but where it differentiates itself is in the flavor. This tastes a bit different than the other DPG's, and it does so in a really great way. I loved the flavor and the spicy taste left me licking my lips for more. An easy 45-60 minute smoke that won't disappoint. I'd buy it again and happily hand them out to full powered cigar smokers anytime.

They are as stunning as May West wit!
I enjoyed the light and it is a smooth draw, with light tease of flavor that just dances upon your tongue!

One of the best!
Serie JJ Belicoso has been one of the best and most consistent cigars for years. Tops my list of Don Pepin favorites.

Great blend of flavor
This stick never fails to produce an interesting array of flavors--mellow tobacco, caramel, bread and then punctuated with spice, baking spices and then mellowing back to caramel and chocolate. A real treat!

Great blend
Beautiful craftsmanship, with a smooth and flawless corojo wrapper. Starts off with a blast of pepper, but settles down nicely to a flavorful smoke with an even burn. Moderate complexity and a medium-full strength stick. Very well crafted Nicaraugan puro from Don Pepin Garcia.

Puffin Pepin
Slightly strong until you get used to it. Kinda like sippin' whiskey. I would like to order more but it's Christmas.

I had never had the pleasure of the Serie JJ... what a fantastic smoke. I think I'll go have one right now, in fact!

A great cigar. I have no idea about any more recent 'releases' but I've had these in Humidor for many years.

Mmm, good!
This cigar is so good that you want to eat it!....Hints of caramel and coffee, with a delicious finish on the palate. These are a must for my humidor. A great cigar indeed. It will make you go past the nub. I couldn't put it down. Very tasty. I hurried to order more.

Great cigar, one of the best.
Absolutely great taste with a sweet tobacco finish. It is delicious! This cigar is one of the best in the DPG lineup. Good throughout. I must get a box of these goodies. Very enjoyable, indeed.

A great cigar
This is one of my favorite cigars. A hint of sweetness and all the right balance in flavor. DPG never disappoints me. I love the whole line. This excellent cigar is great tasting and it has a great presentation. I have to get a box of these babies.

Don Pepin Garcia rocks
Serie JJ Sublime Belicoso is an all time favorite that is sure to please. Quality construction - consistent burn and a satisfying flavor is assured. From the first light to the last inch, I savor every puff. Very deserving of the 90+ ratings and it remains a favorite even when stacked up against the Padron Anniversary, Tatuaje Miami, and the the many varieties of the high end My Father cigars.
Customer Testimonials
I thought the first one was tasteless except for the pepper. Given 6 months rest they have made my top 10.
My favorite Pepin. I smile whenever I smoke this cigar & thank the Master Don Pepin for such wonderful talent he shares with us all .
Just tried this one tonight. Still a novice in the cigar world but this was a good stick to build my palette. Smooth first 1/3 then it exploded with hints of vanilla & dark cherry on the nose. With 1/3 left it changed to killer notes of buttery almond. It was like that first bad ass red wine when you understand why people enjoy something. And it only costs $7.50... I want more!!
Went to the smoke shop looking for something different and chose the Sublimes stick. Wasn't let down on this one. Some good flavor cant go wrong went back again for a few more.
To begin with, I am not a big fan of Pepin Garcia cigars. It seems like Pepin uses a healthy dose of the pepper shaker for most of his cigars. The Series JJ is the one smoke in his inventory that I do enjoy. I like a full powered smoke such as this and the pepper tones are kept to a minimum. These are sometimes hard to find and a little pricey but well worth your effort to track them down.
The best $8.00 cigar ever.....
Enjoyed one of the Serie JJ Belicoso's the other day that I got out of a sampler pack. Very earthy and leathery, tons of flavor. The first 3/4" or so was a little harsh, but after that it smoothed out and got very tasty. Nice change of pace from my usual smokes.
This is a very attractive cigar with lots of smoke and and even burn. Medium strength with a velvety smooth draw and nutty flavor. Very well balanced and consistent right down to the end. I've grown to really like this smoke over the blue and black labels.
DPG Serie JJ is TOP SHELF!!! A great medium-bodied, eventful masterpiece by Don Pepin. Good spice taste mixed with notes of cocoa all well balanced throughout until the last puff. Good burn, good draw, and always consistent. I would give it a 95 rating.
I've bought a five pack from Joe a year ago and during that time I smoked four very early. At that time I felt it was over rated until I smoked one almost a year later. This one is truly a fine Cigar all it needs a year of aging an you'll see a big difference. I only regret that I smoked them to early. Never again I'll make that mistake twice. I just wanna get my hands on a few from Joe but he's playing hard to get.
Been smoking cigars for 27+ years now and never tried a DPG-JJ until now.Got the Belicosos and of course smoked one the same day. This is a most excellent cigar-extra full body, extra full flavor, ultra complex,a third of the way through I was a little buzzed,by the time I got to the nub(about 1/2 inch),I couldn't wipe the smile off of my face!Very slow burn as well, took almost 2 hours.Well done Senor Pepin,ThanksCI!
This is a TOP DRAWER SMOKE. I have nothing more to say.
"Man.....are these legal"? The Don Pepin Garcia Serie JJ, earthy, i mean dirt earthy, pleasantly spicy and there's a syrupy tasting finish (not sweet) that was both surprising and delicious. I think these sticks would age nicely.........if i can keep my hands off em'. Good smoke.
ANOTHER awesome cigar from Don P! (Mr. Pepin's white label )JJ has earned even more of my respect (as if he didn't have a lot already with the Black label). You will be absolutely amazed at the subtle, yet spicy flavor of this cigar. I enjoy a good Cuban cigar and have found it to be an expensive habit that had to be tamed with a "legal" alternative. I've smoked countless Cohibas, Monte Cristos, Partagas, Romeo Y Julietas, H. Upmanns and Bolivars, the Don Pepin black and the white labels rival them all. I am still waiting on the Tatuaje's to be back in stock so I can try that line as well. Don Pepin is an amazing cigar master and will revive the cigar industry from the "fancy boxes and ribbons for a premium price" companies.
You sure this isn't CUBAN??? It's quite clear how much effort was put into this puro. (Don Pepin Garcia Serie JJ) A very heavy, layered deep smoke. Well constructed, well though out cigar. Delivers a bold earthy flavor. I really liked it. I recommend you eat a full meal before enjoying this stick of dynamite.
As a cigar smoker of almost 30 years standing, I have in recent years beocme bored with most smokes and often feel I am smoking the same thing, regardless of the brand. I ordered the Don Pepin sampler and my taste buds came alive. I tried the Serie JJ tonight while walking my dog in this unbelievably warm January night. The first thing that struck me was the depth of flavor - something I hadn't experienced for a while. The full body was one of flavor, rather than strength, spicimess as opposed to power. These cigars will be one my "go to's" from now on.
Very nice pre-light aroms, pleasant flavour but not a very good burn...difficult to keep even. (Don Pepin Garcia Serie JJ)
Outstanding, simply the best medium to full body cigar (Don Pepin Garcia Serie JJ) on the market today. This guy pepin knows how to blend a cigar. Trust me you won't be disapointed.
