I'm a novice. Smoked my first cigar 2 months ago at age 68. It was from CI. Ive learned a lot. Learned how much I enjoy cigars. Learned how grateful I am that it was CI. Now retired, I am an x-VP of a multi-million $ company. I say that because I know business...CI not only has a great product, they also have outstanding administration and execution. They are a "can't miss" organization. To whit, I only wish I had discovered the travel case sooner. I won't leave home without it. If you don't have one, GET ONE.

The photo doesn't do the product justice. It's classy and a great looking, two cigar case. Just wish it was a bit more rigid but I'm still very pleased with it.

The case is made of the so called 'bonded leather', not a high quality leather as described. This is an artificial leather made of dust or tiny particles from leather leftovers glued with a synthetic composite which legally somehow gives the manufacturers the right to call this fake material leather just because it does contain the leather dust in it... Pretty cheap looking and poorly made. With the time it won't get the nice patina and aged look that the real leather has but will simply wear off like a cheap vinyl belt... Not worth even half of the price it's being sold for. Disappointed by Diesel: if I saw it elsewhere I would swear it's a fake.

Its a nice sturdy leather case that meets the need and will not break unlike the cheap black cases that carry more cigars but the snaps brake off and the case becomes useless. The two cigar case fits in a suit coat or jacket pocket and can carry any slim 8". A thicker same length cigar will have problems but I don't smoke those anyway.

I already have two of these Diesel cases from a few years back. The tan distressed leather, and the redish brown leather case. They are the same, except for color. Well made and they easily hold a pair of 60 ring cigars. The picture in the MMAO transaction showed the tan distressed leather and I bought two. What showed up was the redish brown leather and a completely different design then the originals. The new case is made much cheaper and will hold 54 rings, and not any larger. I broke the binder on a 56 ring trying to put a pair of them in the new case. I asked CI to change the picture, as the offer was misleading. I have given away the two new cases as gifts and will stick with my older Diesel cases. Not a fan of the new cheaper design.

Shape, color, and quality most importantly all lacked. Leather was extremely cheap. There are way better options out there for similar pricing. Getting any cigar inside is a risk to the cigar which defeats the purpose of a protective case. On the plus side....this has been the only product I have ever purchased (and Ive bought quite a bit) from CI that has let me down.
