Cusano P1 Maduro Sale

Flavor-packed, prices hacked!

Crafted in the Dominican Republic under the watchful eyes of Hendrik Kelner, mastermind behind countless Davidoff and AVO hit blends, Cusano P1 Maduro is easily one of the best cigars you can snag for the money. Originally released in the late ‘90s this reliable stand-by continues to please over a decade later.

Spun carefully around the Connecticut shade binder and Dominican fillers is a rich, oily Mexican maduro wrapper leaf. A uncharacteristically bold Dominican offering, P1 Maduro reveals hearty notes of leather, white pepper, and sweet spice. Add in spot-on construction and a price point that’s well-under 2 bucks apiece, and you’ve got yourself a winner winner chicken dinner.

La Floridita
Pretty good smoke. Nice and dark maduro wrapper. Good for the price. Would only buy when on sale or free shipping.

Tasty but...
Very tasty although it seems to be put together from scraps of tobacco. No matter how you cut, punch or slice into the cap you end up spitting out bits and pieces while trying to enjoy the nice flavor

Honest opinion
I ordered the special 16 pack maduro's. I have now smoked every one of them. I'm very disappointed though it has an okay taste it burns very uneven and is sometimes difficult to draw.

Great taste
I received the package in a matter of days. These cigars are very smooth and have a great taste. I've shared them with friends and family. Everyone says this is a great cigar.

Not so
Not so great they don't burn evenly and they drop ash all the time as in they flake off. The taste is ok though. I just don't like having to relight uneven burns

Cusano Robusto
I have smoked only 2. Both have been hard to draw on and seem to have coarse filler. I expected better. Perhaps I will find the rest of the bundle to be better

Weird Cigar
I have been smoking cigars for over 50 years. Before my retirement, I smoked only Cubans. This is the first cigar that I ever had that was better the second day than when I first lit it up. It has a tendency to burn uneven. It is a quick smoke. I truly expected more from a Davidoff product.

Disappointing Cigar
This used to be my favorite bundle cigar. Then Davidoff bought Cusano and began the long slow slide to irrelevance. First they forgot to make them, so for years we could only get the P1 occasionally. Now it seams that they’ve brought them back to market with a new label and amateur rollers. I sampled the P1 and N1 and both were very poorly rolled every cigar in two bundles canoed badly. They were also so loosely rolled that a 6 x 60 smoked for less then an hour. Save your memories - pass on this cigar.

Sleeper Cell; What a surprise!
This are awesome cigars. I was pleasantly surprised as one of my favorite cigars is the RP vintage 1990 and the RP The Edge Maduro. These are a close second. You will not be disappointed. They taste great and they burn very even. What a bargain. Try them!

Solid, but wouldn't purchase again
Not bad for the price, but wouldn't buy them again. Easy draw and certainly the solid taste of a handmade cigar, but the flavor is thin and reminiscent of some machined cigars. Smell of the smoke isn't bad but thin and without much aroma.

Great Service, Bad Cigar Choice
CI's service is great and always is but this particular cigar is awful. Burns uneven, wrapper comes apart, and is just bad all around.

Cusanos
Not very well constructed a lot of cupping on the burn

not the best I've had
So far each cigar burns unevenly. Not rolled very tight. Taste is very good but the uneven burn causes less enjoyment and an early quit.

Loose roll
Not tightly rolled burns quick

Great tasting smoke for the money!

Starts off good, but loses it midway in to the burn
I's rate it maybe 3 1/2 ...? Decent cigar, starts off well !!! but it gets a little disappointing about half way through, the flavor, I thinks starts to drop off midway through the flavor becomes a little harsh.

Probably wouldn't buy again
Probably wouldn't buy again; lighter construction and binder is loose during the smoke. Flavor, however is solid for the price range.

Surprising stick for the price.
Looks - Going by appearances it probably wouldn't stop me if i was walking past them. Wrapper - It is wrapped ok. I've found a few where the cap will unravel a bit while smoking even with a minimal cut. Taste - It has a smooth consistent taste throughout Burn - Burns Great tight light colored ash that holds for an inch and a half easy. Overall worth the money i would buy them again

AAA bit skinny . . .

Poor Quality
Decent smoke for the money but the quality is poor. Very uneven burn. The cap is so small that when cutting the cigar the entire cap is often removed resulting in some unraveling of the wrapper.

Cusano
Could not believe the quality for the price....very good out in the yard smoke to hunting camp. You could even give them away on the golf course to those people that are always mooching from you and not be embarrassed. 7/10 rating in my book.

A different low-cost Maduro.
ROTT 9/16/2017 Robusto size. This is an interesting "mixed stogie". I enjoyed it, so start from there. Let's get down to specifics Burn was a little uneven, but it was ROTT and have had others much worse. Did not have to relight. Ash was fair, and only a small bit of flaking. Construction: Overall fine with small veins and easy draw. The cap and end were a bit weak and loose though. Some pieces came out in the mouth. This may be an anomaly that sometimes happens with hand rolled cigars. Smoke was "normal" with a bit of a "tortilla" fragrance rather than leather or toast. Taste: This is the interesting part. Though a maduro, it was not overly chocolate/leather. These were much more toned down. It allowed the tobacco flavor to mix in more, giving it a more "rounded" flavor in my opinion. Overall: This will make rotation into my humidor. While not a top shelf cigar by any means, price and interesting taste may suit the discerning palate. Definitely a sitting cigar, not a working one (if the looseness on the cap continues.

Great cigar, but a little too strong for my taste.
