CI's Top-Shelf Starter Set

Humi was nicer than I expected based on photos. Not sure yet how it will keep humidity, as I just received them over the last couple of weeks. The second one does have a gap toward the back of the box, I'm not sure if that will be an issue. The cigars were in good shape and a nice sampling.

I would have liked to have a cutter included with a starter set . Otherwise very nice.

Haven’t tried them all yet but so far as a first time cigar buyer and smoker I’m loving them! The Rocky Patel 1990 has been my favorite so far! Box is nice and the shipping was easy!

The humidor is a great size for a starter. The cigars would have been worth the cost so it becomes quite a nice bonus.

Definitely a great starter kit as a gift, or even for yourself if you are starting out. I love mine. I do highly recommend getting a govee hygrometer thermometer, wireless thermometer, mini bluetooth humidity sensor with notification alert from Amazon. Its small and compact and will tell you how your Humidor is doing. Took roughly a week and a half for my Humidor to "break in" with the humidity within the box. The sticks that this kit comes with are great selections to start with. I already smoked them all and have an empty humidor at the time of this post lol. I do have an order that I am waiting for from CI to fill my box with, and am hoping the pack I bought is good. I do plan on purchasing some more bundle packs with random selections to experience more brands, instead of sticking only to 1 in particular. So far, my favorite is Cohiba...but trying all I can so I don't let other brands not have a chance to be tried.

On the actual set here’s my thoughts. The humidor is gorgeous. The cigars were completely cracked vertically and 100% unsmokable. However, the customer service rep did immediately issue a replacement which were pretty good. Definitely older stock but pretty well taken care of just some minor blemishes and common issues.

Excellent starter kit. The cigars were all of high quality. I liked all of them other than the Gurkha. The flavors of the cigar were great. The box holds humidity well.

Perfect starter kit to either introduce someone to cigars, or start their own collection.

I rested the cigars for two weeks and as a noob I was impressed. The Rocky Patel and Macanudo cigars were very good. Can't wait to smoke the rest. I think as a new smoker you'll be very pleased.

Absolutely amazing !

I have smoked cigars in the past once every few years. But now I have decided to smoke more often. I bought this set as a starter. I have yet to smoke the cigars (I also bought some torpedoes and just smoked one). I was really impressed by the humidor. It is small but, it is well made. I followed the directions and I am please to say that it is keeping the humidity at 69%! I opened it to get the torpedo and was pleased by the smell of cigars drifting out. The torpedo was perfect! I know that the samplers (I will smoke one when the weather improves next week and I could not be more please with the quality of the kit.

Great little box and the cigar quality is very good. Overall I recommend this kit.

Good smokes with an attractive everyday humidor. Would have been perfect if it included an hygrometer. But still a good buy.

The whole kit was amazing, highly recommend it for anyone looking to get started on cigars. Quality wise of the cigars was great have been enjoying each one, a little upset about the humidor would stick to the box and kept falling off. The box itself is classy and looks anywhere in the house.

Very good started kit from a mid range cigar selection point of view. I'm not convinced that the box is sufficiently airtight to hold a good level of humidity. This one is running at around 60% most of the time.

Great starter set, enjoyed the assorted flavor profiles of the cigars that were included. Good build quality. Already have them filled with some of my favorite smokes.

Good box, 1 star off for the hinge screws. It had to be during construction the wood screws stripped the wood. After a little patch up and inserting strips of cedar in the joints on the seal this one is a solid 65 to 69 at all times. I would buy it again doubtless.

I only gave it 4 stars because of the quality of the cigars. The humidor was of low quality but hey, I guess it's a good starter.

This is a great starter kit for anybody. Great humidor and great sticks. A perfect combination of sticks to open your taste buds great smokes for sure. I received my humidor loaded with great smokes, i started by seasoning the humidor, and then putting all the sticks in ive smoked a few so far and all have been very good , good draw,burn and tast. Now I'm just looking to buy more great sticks to reload this great humidor with.

Pretty good for a starter set but no hygrometer. After seasoning the humidor, I ditched the foam in the humidifier and replaced it with beads from 2oz. Black Ice quad and placed the rest in the bottom along with 2 Humi-Care pillows that came with the extra sticks I ordered and purchased a digital hygrometer. Its holding right at 69-72% RH. As for the smokes, I loved them all except for the Rocky Patel 1900's, to me were just a little strong for my pallet. Overall not bad for the price.

Great starter set. Cigars are pretty good (minus the Gurka). I would recommend getting a digital hygrometer (I bought a Xikar) and humidifier (Gel Beads Jar works fine). Only problem is now I want a bigger humidor.

Its been quite a few years since I have been a cigar connoisseur and I didn’t really know where to begin again. The top shelf starter kit gave me a little variety of names that I was familiar with and alleviated a little bit of the apprehension of ordering. The humidor is not what I would consider aesthetically pleasing but it’s functional. In all, I’m happy with the purchase and recommend it for anyone getting in to cigars. Enjoy!

Very impressed with the humidor and the selection of cigars that it came with. The only cigars that I did not care for in bunch were the Gurkahs (very dry). I have received many compliment on the humidor. Excellent choice for someone just getting started or looking for an overflow. I would recommend buying a digital hydrometer.
