I was in the right place at the right time when I picked up an incoming call from José Blanco. And as it turns out, my opportunistic purchase, which included several pallets full of Cibao Maduro cigars, was even better than expected. These things are really gorgeous, with a creamy and smooth unintrusive flavor designed for those who favor something medium-bodied.
The Cibao River Valley in the Dominican Republic is home to the finest tobaccos grown in that country. Located near the northern coast, this region is lush and fertile - situated literally and figuratively at the heart of the Dominican cigar industry. And Cibao cigars, crafted under the watchful eye and meticulous hands of Señor Blanco, is worthy of the name. Draped in a flavorful Maduro wrapper on top of Criollo 98 binder, the Cibao Maduro is pleasant from its first puff to the last. Now mix in some Criollo 98 and Piloto Cubano filler that was specifically crafted to enhance all of the tobaccos used for the cigar, and you get an experience unlike any other. I don't have many left, and this deal is a little nutty, so grab a couple boxes while you can!
