Description

A 93-rated gem!

Casa Magna Colorado is the brainchild of two of the cigar industry's most revered manufacturers, Manuel Quesada and Nestor Plascencia. This Nicaraguan Puro is full-bodied and moderately priced. Comprised of Ligero and Viso fillers from several different regions of Nicaragua and a beautiful Cuban-seed Ligero Colorado wrapper, the Casa Magna is hand-rolled in Plascencia's Nicaraguan Factory. The result is a smooth, rich, full-bodied cigar with undertones of coffee and sweet spices. A well-made slow-burner at a great price.

Cigar Aficionado rated Casa Magna the #1 cigar of 2008 with an outstanding 93-point rating. Additionally, it's still going strong, earning the #10 spot for 2011.

Started off very strong, almost too strong for my taste. Improved greatly as I smoked it. My wife said the same. I do think it will improve in my humidor, and I smoked it one week after receiving my box. Not something that had a wow factor for us, but I don’t regret the purchase!

Very smooth from start to finish. Pairs very well with a nice cognac or a good Kentucky Bourbon!

Customer Testimonials
Got this cigar as a recommendation from my local cigar shop, and all I can say is that this is a very good robust cigar with a great flavor. I will be buying more of these, but this time from Cigars international. Way better price point.

“I bought the "Legal Limit 18-Cigar Sampler III" wanting to expand my pallet into the full strength cigars and thought I'd write a review from a novice's point of view. Smokes more toward a full-bodied cigar than a medium. For me it laid a little thick on the tongue (earthy) but with a nice balance of spice. I am going to wait to smoke the second Casa Magna Dominican (two in the sampler) before deciding if I like it or not, mainly because I don't normally like "earthy" cigars. Regardless of my taste, it was a pleasant, smooth, full-bodied smoke.

Got this one as part of a sampler and wow, what a great smoke. Thank You CI for putting great smokes like this one in your samplers so I can broaden my horizons when ordering time comes. A great cigar.

Maybe I got a bad one, I don't know. A number one rating and all positive reviews can't mean I'm living in some parallel universe. Mine was a tough draw, had to be lit frequently and had a lot of flavor but I could not identify it. Five came in the sampler so I'll have another go at it.

A great tasting cigar with a very smooth and balanced flavor. The aroma is nice too. I am enjoying this one all the way to my fingertips. The Casa Magna Oscuro is even better. If you like a hint of licorice then you will like the Oscuro. Nice brand of cigars.
EW of Virginia Beach, VA
The best cigars I've ever tasted. Even better than the Cohiba Esplendidos a friend brought me direct from Cuba. Rich, complex, very smooth, beautiful draw, good down to the very end....

....I'm very new to cigars and smoked a few over 100 in the last 4 months. This bad boy has been sitting in my humidor for about 3 months and is a total gem. Burns perfect and tastes even better. I will definitely be coming back for more.
LW of Fort drum, NY
I've had this cigar in 3 different vitolas; corona, robusto, and belicoso. All provided great, full flavor with no hint of harshness or bitterness. The flavors are complex without overdoing it, and it provides spice without swamping the base flavors. This is one I always keep in the humidor.
PG of GREEN LANE, PA
I let this bad chicken sit in the humi for 3 months and Zing! I fingertip scalded down to the dubisis. CIs description of coffee and nuts is very accurate, as a puro you get a very powerful but singular flavor with coffee the dominant taste. One of the best out of Nicaragua and worth every penny ... buy a box of 25 plus 2freebies today!!!!

Smoked This Cigar During Me And My Buddy's Saints Super-Bowl Year, Definetly Worth The Number #1 Rating, A Wonderful Cigar, It Has It All.
MF of Bogalusa, LA
Bitter sweet bourbon cask wood, dark rich molasses and pepper. Packed solid in a reddish brown colorado wrapper with a smooth even draw. This cigar is as spicy as it gets with consistent flavor from start to finish, right down to the nub. The fullest flavored Nicaraguan out there.
