Caliber 4R Hygrometer

Works great! Accurate an affordable

I have two of these now as back up to the built in units. These never fail me. They come out of the box ready to go all you have to do is put the battery in.

The magnetic mounting system is great. I’d give it 5 stars but I’d like to see the magnet a little stronger.

I put it in the humidor and left it for a while. Went back to check it and it read 72/73.......Close enough for me.

Fits perfectly inside humidor. Affixes to door of humidor with tape. Works real well. Pre-calibrated. Don't put directly under the humidification if you are using bead jar. Move it to a corner away from humidification and it will work just fine.

Wow battery in and set way too easy to use :-D. I couldn't believe how fast it worked, I set it, read it and not worry about my cigars as much as I did before. Now my hubby and I can just enjoy. This was an amazing buy it was packaged well also.

It's super easy to use, I was surprised to see how accurate it was emmedatly. And it came with a battery too yay! This is a must have for ever humidor.

Looks awesome in my 150 count desktop humidor. Accurate and easy to read! Easy to calibrate with a simple Boveta packet and a ziplock bag test. This is a great alternative to using the analog style that comes in most desktops. I'm very happy with this product and its helping me maintain my Cigars!!

I have found these very accurate with both the salt test, as well as with Bovida packs. The adjust quickly to the changing enviroment. I have a couple of these as well in our machine shop to monitor humidty levels.

Ordered this hygrometer, took it out of the box, installed the battery and put it in my humidor. That's it! It works fantastic.

Very accurate, easy to calibrate, and easy to read

Having my doubts regarding the accuracy of the generic analog hygrometer that was integral with the new cigar humidor that I had recently purchased, and being desirous of maintaining in peak form the freshness of my recent acquisition of a box of Punch Chateau L Churchills, I determined to hedge my bet by acquiring a hygrometer of the digital variety, as it was my understanding after exhaustively researching the matter that a digital hygrometer is superior to the analog type. After perusing Cigarsinternational.com's many favorable reviews pertaining to the Caliber 4R brand digital hygrometer offered for sale therein, I ordered one. It arrived in short order and in good condition, but it was only after utilizing this device that I more fully appreciated its attributes. It' reasonably priced, compact, attractive and uncannily accurate, as borne out by the salt test to which it was subjected shortly after its arrival. I like the fact that its radial LCD dial face mimics that of the analog hygrometer that it replaces, and its superior accuracy in assessing the humidity level of my humidor affords me a sense of reassurance that the freshness of my substantial investment in fine cigars will be accurately monitored and maintained. I consider the modest sum that I paid for the Caliber 4R digital hygrometer to have been money well spent. Sincerely, Steve Logsdon.

I have not calibrated this with a proper calibration kit just yet but it seems to be doing OK. However, the magnet that comes with it is quite weak. Will be looking for a better magnet. Overall, the temperature seems close enough.

Great work good

The Caliber 4R is a great product, much more accurate than my previous hygrometer. Having the temperature readout included is also a plus and I also like the digital capability wrapped in a classic form factor, though being that it uses a non-backlit LED display you have to get at the right angle and have enough ambient light to read it, but it is a minor inconvenience.

Works perfectly

After shopping around, CI had the best price. Two days with a Boveda calibration kit confirmed what I was already told: these come pre-calibrated. Very easy to use, seems very accurate so far. I will likely get another for my older humidor.

Accurate hygrometer, I would buy again

One of the best hygrometers I have used. I used the Bovida pack as stated in the instructions to calibrate. It's all strait forward.

Its diameter is larger then the ones you find in the glass top humidors, so you can't exchange them. But if you buiding or modifying a humidor it works great, a hygrometer by it self only tells you half of what the environment is in your humidor. You need a temperature reading to know the true RH. This hygrometer has some added features you can read what has been the lowest readings or the highist readings, with just the push of a button.

This one works better than any I have ever had. Extremely accurate. Only problem is it does not fit in a standard hole of a humidor so you must mount it inside.

I used a Boveda calibration kit with the hygrometer, before putting it in my humidor, and it was already spot on. Didn't need to be adjusted at all. I'd still suggest checking it before you use it just to be caution. So far I'm very pleased with this hygrometer.
