Bahia Maduro Panchos Sale

Bahia delivers while the CI Hit Squad empties both barrels in its ongoing War on High Price.

Bahia Maduro is Exhibit #19,650, delivering tasty handmades at prices that can best be described as recklessly low. Bahia Maduro is the one that put Bahia on the map some years ago: an all Nicaraguan-blend of aged Cuban-seed tobaccos secured in a 3-year old Habano binder from Nicaragua and cloaked in a dark and oily Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. Expect thick plumes of heavy flavor as this medium-bodied Bahia dishes out a rich tobacco core complemented by notes of coffee bean and earth. Price seals the deal: 20 handmades, heavily discounted.

Good cigar for the price!
Wow! Got it in a part of a sampler and all I can say is wow! Great price, great quality. Let it rest for a few days after you get it. I Let it rest in at least 67% humidity for about 8 days after receiving it at my door. Very earthy, dry, notes of dark chocolate and cocoa on the draw and a hint of licorish on the finish. Full body, medium strength (3 or 4 out of 5 in terms of strength). Do not give this or get this for a beginner. A good long smoke for a seasoned smoker. Even the 5.5 Pancho took me about an hour and half to fully enjoy. Best to light with a multi-touch lighter. Single touch may take longer to light evenly. Once light, it burns even with a long ash. Gets hotter and more peppery towards the end of the stick.

Wierd Burn
Very full bodied, good leather. Many did not draw without reaming with a paper clip and the burn was lopsided. I guess really not a bad yard stick for the price

The Best Daily Smoke You Could Buy
This is a solid, go to cigar that I've always kept an inventory of for the past 3 years. The construction is always extremely consistent and I have never had a bad cigar in any of the hundreds which I've enjoyed. The flavor profile is very pleasant, with a reasonably rich flavor that isn't complicated, but very enjoyable. This is by far the best cigar you can buy without breaking the bank.

Good cigar but not great.Smokes well even burn don't have to relight but should sit in your humidor for awhile and they should get better. I will try them again in the future.

I enjoyed the cigar on the golf course with a friend. We both found them to be flavorful yet mild. A great golfing cigar, because it stayed lit.

Good smoke, caps are the weak point
I found these to be a good tasting and smoking cigar over all. Very little canoeing in the batch and not bitter or offensive in any way. In fact quite tasty. The only bad point is the top layer of cap came off every one almost immediately. This didn't really ruin the cigar and they were still enjoyable. A reasonable every day cigar. I would buy them again.

Smooth and slightly Sweet
Got a bundle in about 2-3 days ago, finally got to smoke a few and my goodness... I am thoroughly impressed with how smooth these are. I’ve easily paid double for other smokes that didn’t taste half as good as these!!! Worth every penny, and they go on sale every once in a while. Bottom line is they taste fantastic and I will def be ordering more as this will be my new regular smoke!! Thank you CI!!!

A pleasant cigar
Nothing to crow about but still a decent cigar. Good draw and an even burn. I would buy again.

A dependable go-to smoke
An excellent daily smoke, with the flavors and general construction of more expensive sticks. I get leather, coffee, chocolate and earth, with just the right amount of spice. I like these whether out fishing, or chilling on the deck in the evenings after dinner. A definite humidor staple. Occasional burn issues, and very rarely one might come unraveled. Good draw though and overall just a real pleasurable cigar. And did I mention the value for the $$$?

Pretty good for the price
The cigars are well rolled with consistent burn and good draw. For me, it presents a little bite on the palate, but not so it is annoying, and the flavor is pretty good. I purchase them occasionally for a change of pace.

big smoke, little taste
The Bahia burns slowly and well structured. But the taste is below average and hard to define. Still worth the price. I'll give it a C plus grade.

Great cigar - long wait!
Great cigar, aging nicely! Shipping, however, takes forever, especially when a competitor gets my order here in two days! Apparently, it is shipped by intermodal when in the west. Slowing down my purchases due to long lead times.

Good smoke, ash is good and they burn even. The only drawback on these are the end caps are pretty thin, subject to damage when punching.

Good value but blue is better
I like the value of this brand of well made cigars for value price. I was hoping these would math the Bahia blues which are a go to value cigar for me but they fell short. It's a good smoke but too harsh, I'll stick with the blues

Nice smoke, Nice Price
I have only smoked a couple of the bundle, but they had a good, full flavor, burnt even and had a fine draw. If the rest of the bundle is like the first couple I would definitely buy them again. May make a good daily smoke.

Good everyday cigar.
I've bought these for years. They have "mostly" been well constructed and tasty. Occasionally get a bad batch that has to sit in the humidor for a week or two. I don't leave home without one tucked into my jacket pocket. Buy them. For the price, you won't be disappointed.

Hit or Miss
I've smoked some that were as expected, a decent everyday smoke, but the there's some that burned hot and burned a hole right through the center. Not sure if it's a bad roll but even after cutting more than an inch, it still had that "hole" and wouldn't stay lit. Won't buy them again.

Good for the money
These are good for the money. A few tunneled and a couple had a really hard draw, but again, for the money, not bad.

Good smoke
Good everyday smoke if you like dark n spicy, only issue I have is they are rolled very tight so some have tough drawl.

Great cheap maduro
These sticks are exactly what I remember these are my first experience is going to barrows and for the price you can't beat him
1 out of 5
a waste if money in my opinion
Those cigars are just pepper bombs, all other flavors are masked. I tried one as soon as I got them, it lacked flavors it was very peppery all the way. I let them rest for about a month and they still taste the same. I hope there is some improvement after they age for a few more months but I would not hold my breath about that. To me it is a waste of money.

Bahia Maduro Panchos are OK
I recently purchased 2 bundles of 20 after reading some good reviews. I think I made a mistake. I have smoked about 10 so far and have had the same experience with every one. The draw is way too tight during the first 2/3 of the cigar. Because of it there is very little smoke and therefore limited flavor. Last 1/3 is not bad, good flavor, great draw. During the last 1/3 every time I wish that the first 2/3s smoked the same way.

Inconsistent Wrapper
When they get here smooth and oily, they are very good. Smooth, sweet, cool burning, and medium bodied. However, when they get here wrapped in a "rough", sandpaper, they are harsh, bitter, and burn hot. Trouble is, you never know which wrapper you are getting. The description, of course, tells the perfect story. The truth is, the actual cigar you get in the mail today, may be different then the one you will get next month. Hoping that they correct this inconsistency.

Great Construction
These are very well constructed - a thing of beauty to behold, really. Tightly packed but with a decent draw, the burn time runs about hour and a half. For me, the flavor is good but not great. My main complaint is the last third which burns quite hot. These are certainly worth the price of admission but I doubt that I'll buy them again. They are, however, a decent smoke.

These are my daily go to sticks. They are consistently great smokes. They're well constructed and burn great, very affordable and never let me down. Very very hard draw - Save your money
Don't purchase these unless you want a draw so tight you get a headache. These are packed so tight that you can't enjoy the flavor. I thought leaving them in the humidor for a while might make them better. No such luck. I will not piurchase them again and you should save your money for a better smoke.

Very good for the price!
Great for us maduro lovers. Excellent quality for the Price. I only went with 4 stars because my last brick of 20 was not nearly as fresh as the first batch I ordered.

Solid Stick
First time I actually pulled the trigger on these, intrigued by the deal for a while as I've had Bahia products in the past and enjoyed them. I bought these for a boys weekend, they were a great addition on the golf course and around the fire. Good solid value for the money, nice and creamy, not too spicy, just right. Give them a shot, I will be buying more.

Toni M., Cleveland, Ohio
I usually enjoy a good maduro robusto type of smoke, however this Bahia left me very disappointed. It is a shame that such fine tobacco used in this cigar was so poorly made. The fillers were packed much to tight which made the draw intense enough that I still haven't fully recovered from the deformity which appeared in the back of my head from the effort required to draw on this smoke. Also the burn was too hot because of the tight roll. It burnt more like a fireplace log than a fine cigar. As a matter of fact, that's just where the bundle went,,, in the fire pit. Put this maduro toward the bottom of your cigar bucket list.
