Utilizing the original recipe crafted by Don Douglas in the 1980's Costa Rican factory, Bahia Gold Maduro is a treat for the senses. Up front, spicy-sweet notes coat the palate, as layers of cedar, coffee, tobacco, and a toasty finish soon follow suit. Remaining exceptionally smooth and delightful throughout, the Bahia Gold Maduro is a welcomed full-bodied contender in the Bahia Gold line.

I normally smoke Bahia blue but those were unavailable. The Bahia blue deserves a five, never had a bad one, it smokes consistently, and you can’t beat the price. The Bahia gold lacks in consistency, it requires quit a bit of mending during the smoke, it often smokes with blobs forming, or one side of cigar too far ahead of the other side.

Not a bad stick! This the first Bahia that I’ve tried that I actually liked! Not a huge fan of torpedoes, but this one is good!! If you like Bahia’s, torpedoes, and a good Maduro you’ll like this one!
