Bahia Gold

The (Bahia) Gold Standard

Those of you who attended CigarFEST 2016 had the privilege of burning an absolute ton of new cigars, before they hit the market. And if there was one brand I heard buzz about at the show, it was Bahia. That's right, baby. The revamped Bahia Gold is back, box-pressed, and bodacious! After coming to light in the cigar boom in the 1990s, Bahia Gold was a popular line for years. It ran a hot streak then disappeared, but now we're ready for the comeback, and Bahia Gold is delivering in spades.

A medium to full offering, Bahia Gold cigars are ready to become a mainstay in your humidor. A silky Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over Nicaraguan fillers makes this one creamy, leathery, with just a bit of spice on the finish. Cigars like this are perfect for waking up your palate, or for just kicking back and relaxing after a long day. You may turn up your nose when I tell you these aren't shipped in a box, but have no fear — Bahia Gold is worth its weight in… well, you know.

No Draw McGraw ....
I have enjoyed learning about cigars through CI and appreciate their great service. Have tried many brands and shapes over the past two years and have only found one cigar that really, really disappointed me; the Bahia Gold Torpedo. This biggest problem is that it will not stay lit and has absolutely NO draw. I wish I hadn't ordered so many of them.

Bahia Gold
This is a well made cigar. Draw is easy, smooth, and consistent from one cigar to the next. The Bahia Gold lights easily, stays lit, and billows thick satisfying smoke. Though they are listed as a med/full flavor cigar, personally i find they definitely lean towards medium flavor, which i prefer anyhow. I purchased these as a "deal of the day". What a deal!

To Be or Not to Bia
It turned a bit spicy with fairly s coffee flavor. It turned into a bit tart half way through between puffs. Overall a decent cigar with a good burn with no construction flaws. This cigar is not too bad for under 5 dollars a stick however there are other Nicaraguan filler cigars that are cheaper or equal in vaue with better taste.

Bahia Gold robusto
NOT the the Bahia gold i remember, the old gold white label was a very good smoke for the money. the new gold is no more than a copper at best. very disappointed. well constructed but lacking in flavor.
