Bahia Gold

The ol' packaging SNAFU! Listen, here's the skinny: I've received so many different bands of Bahia Gold over the years that I've lost count... this is one such version. After premiering two years ago, I've since been told that this Bahia is, once again, going the way of the Dodo, and we need to clear out the bundles to get the new inventory in.... so how's half off our old price sound? I promise you, I'm making barely anything on this deal, and you're scoring a top-quality blend for pennies on the dollars. Help me out, would ya?

Those of you who attended CigarFEST 2016 had the privilege of burning an absolute ton of new cigars, before they hit the market. And if there was one brand I heard buzz about at the show, it was Bahia. That's right, baby. The revamped Bahia Gold is back, box-pressed, and bodacious! After coming to light in the cigar boom in the 1990s, Bahia Gold was a popular line for years. It ran a hot streak then disappeared, but now we're ready for the comeback, and Bahia Gold is delivering in spades.

A medium to full offering, Bahia Gold cigars are ready to become a mainstay in your humidor. A silky Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over Nicaraguan fillers makes this one creamy, leathery, with just a bit of spice on the finish. Cigars like this are perfect for waking up your palate, or for just kicking back and relaxing after a long day. You may turn up your nose when I tell you these aren't shipped in a box, but have no fear — Bahia Gold is worth its weight in… well, you know.

Surprisingly nice
So I tried these on a whim, looking for a mellow torpedo at minimal cost... and wow, these were great! Held together and burn very nicely. The only reason I can’t give it 5 stars and it really doesn’t have anything distinct about it. The flavor was just smooth and mellow, I was hoping for some sort of little thing to knock it over the top. But, that said... great smoke, low price tag, would make a great everyday cigar.

Bahia Gold
Not a well made or tasting cigar. They burn away up the middle of cigar. I needed to keep cutting the end of the cigar off. Don't waste your money. I am sorry I bought these.

Bahia Gold
I’m a Bahia fan but not the Gold. Probably worse cigar I’ve smoked in years. Takes whole tank of butane to smoke 1 cigar. Light it puff it-repeat.

Very Tasty Cigar ! ! !
This cigar exhibited Rich yet fairly Mellow smoke. Quite likeable taste and aroma. Draw on this torpedo was Very Close to dead perfect. I've never tried the Bahia brand before and I'm glad I gave this one a shot on a ' free shipping ' deal if I remember correctly.

Badly rolled cigars
I bought 10 Bahia Gold cigars. All are badly made. They cannot stay lit. They needed constant relighting with a butane lighter. They go out in a few seconds after a good draw. Terrible!

2 down
Smoked many of Bahia original gold and still have a few so I was hoping for a good result. Had 2 of these first developed a black hole in the center and later a hot spot about 2’’ from the burn overall poor smoke. After a couple weeks later 2nd also developed black hole but burned much better but poor draw. After half a smoke black hole turned to ash and it started a Good burn with Good draw. Last third was actually a fairly good smoke but at this time the jury is still out!

Good As Gold
I really liked the previous Gold blend and the updated version didn't let me down. I ordered the torpedo's and the strength was medium with a nice flavor profile. The cigars are shipped in bundles and some extra time in the humidor is needed before lighting up.
