Like that metal band your friend played guitar for in high school, Backyard Beans got their start in a small garage. Setting out to roast the best coffee they could, Backyard Beans originally sold their wares in local farmers markets. Quickly, though, word got out and this brand moved to a more professional set up. Now, they offer a good handful of small-batch roasted, seasonal coffees that are sure to become a favorite of any coffee enthusiast.
Wild Espresso is a medium-roast blend from BYB. Using African, Indonesian, and Central American coffees, this roast results in a fruity and full-flavored espresso. But I’ll let you in on a little secret — it tastes just as good in a drip coffee pot or French press. Chocolate on the palate is complemented by sweet notes of blueberry, and a slightly acidic lemony finish. Serve this one up with dessert, and you’re in for a heavenly treat.
