Let's get this out of the way, these are big cigars, but they are a nice smoke. Get over the size and enjoy the flavor and the length of the smoke. It's like holding a heavy rocks glass in your hand. It just feels good.

Big and bold. I have to take a little extra time and a bigger pour of Bourbon to truly enjoy the mellow flavor of the Cojero. Looking forward to finishing up the others. Just bought a 300 stick humidor and will make Asylum a mainstay.

Big fan of Asylum. First spotted them at Buckhead Cigars, ATL, years ago. Excellent blend, always even, cool burning, pure white ash. Can usually toke down to the nub. Pairs deliciously w/anything aged that pours. I’m a staunch advocate of 60 - 70 gauge. Patiently converting unbelievers. Was warry of the 80 gauge until the Lockjaw sampler came along. Ordering my 3rd pack today. Try it, you won’t regret it.

when this package arrived I almost laughed at the size of these monster stogies, like a bunch of uncurved bananas. I thought these must be hurriedly constructed, but NO, each one was firm and solid throughout, no soft or mushy areas. Then I postulated probably a tough draw they are so solid, BUT NO! Smoke flowed smoothly and effortlessly through the 1/4 inch punchhole. and what smoke. Full yet not harsh. Not a spit in an hour of puffing, and what did that hour accomplish? About a two inch burn that was even and consistent and without an ashdrop. In an HOUR! I could have watched the superbowl and barely finish this baby. And I haven't even tried the 80 gauge monster! Even with shipping they were only 8 bucks a stick. An afternoon of pleasure for 8 bucks. A steal!

The good: so far, three-for-three cigars have impressively easy draw, perfect construction, perfect burn, huge column of ash solidly on the stick through first 2 inches on both. ash drop is like an avalanche when it happens. One was a 6 x 70 the other a 6 x 80. The bad: personal opinion - 70 is as big a ring as i can smoke comfortably. smoke has not much body or strength. 2nd stick was starting to crack and flake around the wrapper near the cherry. however it didn't cause problems with performance at all. Also, I'm not getting 2-3 hours from these sticks. I'm a fast smoker but I do have 5.5 x 50 premium sticks that go over 2 hours. The Asylum 6x70 and 6x80 are about 1hr 30 - 1hr 45 maximum for me

I was expecting a painful jaw and a for ever ok smoke. What I got was no pain in my jaw, a really cool and great smoke and they do take a while. Preface for a 3 hour flavorful smooth smoke. I will definitely keep buying this pack.

Really enjoyed the bold taste and good company this cigars brings with it.

These are some great sticks, but make sure you have got the time to relax and smoke them. To get a good draw on them I used a punch cut 3 times to make sure I got good air flow. Have a good lighter to toast the ends, find your favorite spot to relax and throw in some music and chill. Definitely a full flavor and full body smoke, Each one takes on the characteristics of their smaller cousins. Theses just take a while to enjoy.

Have smoked the 13 in all sizes for some time. Really like the big ring sticks. The 13 has a stronger smoke; the Straight Jacket seemed milder but really enjoyed it.

Great tastes and flavors from Asylum but the large ring size was a bit too much for me. Nice for novelty but way too much tobacco at one burn.

I'm personally more inclined to a larger gauge cigar and they don't make em much bigger than the 80 gauges you can find in this sampler. That being the case, it also helps that each one of these cigars is rolled with some of the highest quality tobacco. It's great for adding some variation to your humidor without worrying about the quality of the cigars your grabbing. Priced very reasonably as well. I obviously highly recommend this sample pack.
