Archetype Strange Passage

Prepare for a journey

Strange Passage is a cigar that’s guaranteed to make you do a double take. From the bizarre name, to the dragon in the art, to the small maze on the foot band, this presentation is most certainly… unique. But believe me, Strange Passage is legit, and most worthy of your attention.

The name here isn’t just a marketing gimmick — Strange Passage is blended to be multi-dimensional, a cigar that transforms as you burn it. At the start, you’ll find a classic full-bodied profile loaded with notes of coffee and woods. But let this baby burn, and soon earth, fruit, and a light, spicy finish will join the mix. It’d be tough to pick a favorite cigar from Archetype, but Strange Passage is, without a doubt, their most complex.

A Strange Review
A strange cigar that is interesting. Mottled look with veins; not a bad thing, just observation. V cut cold draw shows a subtle spice with roasted nuts and some barnyard. Initial draw once lit gave me sublet spice, coffee bean with some wood. Lots of things going on with no specific order. 2nd third gave me some long finish that was felt in the throat with and oak type sensation too it. Also a slight sweetness like chocolate. Last third gave me a long finish of pepper that wasn’t overpowering along with some earthiness. Burn time was impressive being over an hour. That was one out of the box once received. The remaining ones will be in boxed in a large humidor for a few months as this cigar, I feel will become more refined with a little time. An interesting cigar that will captivate some and push others away. Thats true about a lot of things, cigars included. I would put it as a med / full design that any cigar lover should try. It is worth the price and I think later on, will be a steal if the price holds.

A new fave!
I stumbled across this stic on a whelm and it’s deliciois. From beginnng to end, the burn is magnificoant, the draw is heavenly it has notes of sweetness, mahogany, coco and leather. It says full bodied but the smoke was so smoothe it more like a medium body. This stic is truly a game changer.

Nearly perfect sweet treat
I only got seriously into cigars about a year ago. I smoke a different stogie every night.(I'm doing research). I tried these on the recommendation of my local cigar shop. Everything about them is nearly perfect. My only gripe is that they are box pressed. I prefer round cigars. The draw, burn, big sweet smoke cloud, and aroma are amazing. If you were to grill mangos and peaches brushed with butter and pepper on an applewood fire, you'd have the aroma that I am seriously digging right now. These are for sharing with very special friends who deserve the good bourbon. Not moochers and beginners. Definitely going to get a box of these. You should too.
