You want this cigar

What was the highest non-Cuban cigar on the top 25 Best Cigars of the Year in 2013? Which cigar took home the number 2 spot? Oh, just Aging Room Quattro F55, a small-batch boutique handmade from skilled brand owner Rafael Nodal and Tabacalera La Palma cigar maker Jochi Blanco.

If you haven’t been introduced to Aging Room cigars yet, it’s high time you made their acquaintance. Made using very limited batches of tobacco leaves too small for regular production, these premium handmades are highly unique, highly in demand, and of course, highly limited in scope. Take Quattro F55. Sounds like a luxury sports vehicle, and perhaps rightfully so, because it performs like a dream. A flawless 2003 Sumatra wrapper leaf encircles a mix of Cuban-seed Dominican fillers and a Dominican binder. To finish, each is box-pressed and packaged perfectly. With enough accolades and praise to fill a trophy case, this is one small-batch lovely that won’t disappoint.

Good news, Aging Room Quattro F55 has earned an outstanding 95-point rating, noting: "The result is a balanced, sophisticated cigar that displays rich notes of roasted coffee bean and sweet cedar. It's a lovely smoke that impressed our tasting panel time and time again."

I love box pressed cigars. This one has become one of my faves. Smooth and flavorful cigar, burns well, haven’t had a bad one!

for the beer salaried with champagne taste
This cigar rivals the flavors found in the Hemingway selections. Whoops! Can I say that? I did say rivals.. not the exact same flavors. Yummy. Earthy. A med body for a pleasant nose.

My new go-to cigar
This is a keeper - an outstanding cigar at a reasonable price. Excellent construction, firm but draws easily and burns well, requires minimal re-lights (if any). Lovely flavors - well balanced, full bodied with complex flavors that last from first puff to the end. A medium-strength cigar with lots of flavor. Try it.

Good enough for me.
As usual with me, the rating i gave this cigar is somewhat relative to the price. So compared to other $6 cigars, it rates a definite 4. Easy draw, good consistent burn. Fancy box. Unless you've been spoiled by super premiums, you will not be disappointed.

Aging Room
Nice cigar, good flavor, tree nuts, berries and leather. However, it burns very quickly.

Excellent
This is a very well aged cigar. It is apparent when you get the first one out. The prelight aroma will make you anxious to fire it up. It is on the upper end of medium bodied and has a very coffee like flavor with a bit of a unique spiciness that I can't quite put a name to. Almost a Cuban type spiciness. It is very dry and not sweet like other cigars with a dark wrapper. The flavors are powerful and very tasty. The smoke aroma is also delightful. Right now, I am contemplating the idea of lighting up another and I rarely fire up a second cigar after I just finished one. As far as I am concerned this one is a keeper!
