#38: Oliva Serie G and Rocky Patel Vintage '90

Great product

Bought this combination many of times . It’s a great smoke and tastes great. Had a good sale on this combo and with free shipping couldn’t turn it down .

Pretty hard to beat these Oliva G's for value. Very tasty! A very good medium plus choice. The Rockys are also pretty good. I did find a few construction issues with the Rockys. A wrapper that came loose, one wrapper bunched at one end creating a draw leak, and most have a somewhat uneven burn. Still, this pairing is a good deal.

Good bundle and a fair price shipping was surprisingly quick a little on the mild but I would buy again!

Burns great and smooth. These are some of my favorite cigars on the market.

These are usually very good but this batch had a difficult draw and burned very uneven.

I've found that both of these, Rocky Patel and Oliva suit my taste for medium to full body cigars.

Olivia is always a great smoke but this was my first time trying the G series. It did not disappoint. The Rocky Patel was decent not my favorite but a decent smoke.

Smooth excellent cigar no after bite????

Oliva's great smoke, but the rp's, are going down the tubes, like many cigars. The flavor to my liking, but the burn is very inconsistant. Love ashton heritage, same.....stopped buying them. Still wud buy this duo again !!!

Excellent combo pack. Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 is my go-to cigar. Love it. Just getting into some Oliva, which I am finding to be very well constructed and very consistently good. Burns very well. This pack arrived fresh and in perfect shape. Highly recommend for someone who enjoys medium-bodied cigars.

The dynamic duo. 2 quality brands that never fail to satisfy. These 2 diverse smoke go a long way to compliment each other is a very sophisticated manner. The Oliva with it's almost citrus hints slight nutty flavor are great with a highball after 18 holes while nailing down that contract. The Rocky Patel on the other hand serves up a fine spice and leather drive after a juicy steak dinner. Best enjoyed with a warm Drambuie or perhaps a 30 year port. Either way, both satisfy with lots of smoke and a clean burn. But, anyone that's ever smoked one of these knows their history of attention to detail and track record. How could one possibly go wrong?

My last order was supposed to get to me as usual in 2 or 3 days . I planned to take them to friend as a gift . I paid the usual 10.99 to be sure the cigars were in my hand but they arrived 3 days after I returned home. Someone screwed up .

CI assembled a great offering in this combo. While I temper my smoking sessions to average once a week (sometimes 3; sometimes none), CI’s flavorful 91-rated Olivas and 93-rated Rockies create an ever-increasing anticipation for my next laid-back session which, together with music on my Bluetooth speaker, is one of my retirement pleasures. My only desire is that, due to my temperance, I would better appreciate the same combo in a longer smoke, like a Churchill offering.

Really enjoyed Olivia Serie G! Nice easy draw with even burn. Not as much luck with RP vintage 90. Had to relight 3 sticks so far. Always heard good things about RP 's. Good be pilot error...

Great package deal at first glance but after taxes and delivery cost it not a deal anymore. From a cigar quality stand point really good daily smokes , great draw ,taste and consistency with quality . Can’t ever go bad with these two brands. If you don’t mind the cost I would recommend . I believe they have a annual membership that covers shipping cost could be worth getting .

Haven't tried the Vintage 90 yet but the Oliva G is the bomb. Nice and smooth. 7 out of 10 on strength but very flavorful. Also the burn is even yet maybe a little quick.

Both are a great smoke the RP Vintage is my #1 got to stick. This is the first time I smoked the Oliva G, i usually get the Serie V. The G is also a very good smoke.

Good smoke

The Serie G are fine and all, but the RP Vintage '90s are where it's at. Honestly, I feel like I purchased the RP's and just had the Olivas thrown in as a bonus side pack. Construction on all of them have been perfect, and the flavors you can read about elsewhere if you desire. I would say the Serie G are pretty average.. really nothing to write home about... but the RP Vintage '90s are probably my top cigar right now. I looooove deep, dark, earthy, black coffee, and the RP Vintage '90 (to me) tasted like I was drinking one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had. Simply put, the RP Vintage 90s immediately earned "buy a box as soon as you can" status, and the Oliva Serie G are "eh, I like 'em, but I'm not going to go out of my way to buy 'em."

I love CI's products and shop exclusively here. The discount/sale/clearance/deal cigars usually have some surface blemishes, understandable. The cigars always draw, burn and taste good though.

What a great sampler at an incredible price. Honestly, I'll probably just buy up samplers instead of buying boxes of each of these because 1) the price is amazing, and 2) the cigars are amazing. I just need to make sure I smoke them in equal measure so I don't run out of one long before the other, otherwise my plan sucks. I need to have the Serie G again to have more detailed feelings about it (I've had it before and loved it then), but I would describe the RP Vintage '90 cigars as being like the best, darkest, earthiest cup of espresso you can have. I can't drink coffee anymore so this cigar was like a dream come true. Phenomenal cigar I took down to a nub last night (as did my friend who I gave one to last night as well).

I was very impressed with my purchase. I have bought from here b4 but it was always a trial pack here and there. I was just afraid tht the more expensive cigars wouldn't b fresh enough. Well I was wrong. I'm very pleased with the freshness and the taste.

The RP Vintage are awesome and one of my favorites, the Olivia while well built and consistent were OK not bad but not awesome but overall the 2 x 5 packs at the CI price were easily worty every penny.

Good oily, flavored and lot of smoke cigars

The Oliva G has definite earthy dirt tones and is a smooth smoke. All of them burned evenly throughout. The RP1990 are on my Top 10 list. Even tobacco tones with black pepper on the RH. Smooth leather throughout. Not very complex and even burn. Coco hints during the 2nd third. I enjoyed the RP with my morning coffee and the OG as is. Thanks CI for the combo set up. Makes it easy for hobbiest to sample just about all sticks. -JLo

These cigars are perfect for anyone's taste or cigar smoking experience.

The Oliva's were nice and smooth but a couple of them had a plug in them that was irritating. The Rocky Patel's never fail, they are always good.

This combo packs a punch! The Olivia is very flavorful. The RP is a little too strong for my taste, but it has a wonderfull scent and goes well with a nice coffe with cream or hot chocolate. Overall good buy and would recommend for a mature cigar aficionado.

The RP 1990 was the very first cigar I purchased on my 18th bday. I picked up this pack thinking the Oliva’s would just be a space filler. Little did I know, it would become my new favorite stick. Both are very smooth and flavorful. I almost hate to acknowledge the beauty of this deal for fear CI may not be able to keep these bad boys in stock!

I have enjoyed Oliva and Rocky Patel cigars for years. If you're looking for smooth, rich, medium bodied flavor and a consistent burn, both the Rocky Patel Vintage '90 and the Oliva Serie G will not disappoint. I prefer the slightly milder Serie G, which has a smooth, creamy flavor that can be enjoyed all the way down to the nub without turning even the least bit harsh. The Vintage '90 Has a bit more strength and flavor, but it turns a little harsh at the last inch or so. This special 10 cigar package deal makes them available at a terrific price point. I'll order again!
