I had the melanio before this one and was happy with it. I only took a star because I was comparing it to the melanio which is the wrong thing to do. It is it's own thing. I can't give you the profiles but it's great as is. If you looking for something middle ground wooody tobacco goodness get it it's a great starter to adjust before going into something more flavorful. IMO.

The Olivia sticks were near perfect (other than the fact that they are box pressed) and I found them quite to my liking. Medium body, great flavor, excellent burn while holding a superior ash. As for the Rockys, I hoped that the 5th cigar would be the charm - but it wasn't. Each and every stick burned sideways and canoed. Also box pressed.

The RP's do not burn evenly. The Oliva's are a great cigar. Not a tight roll, so burns very smooth.

Assuming you like a medium bodied stick, these two cigars will be hard to beat. Both are made by a company that is known for quality and I found that to be the case. Both burned evenly and held a great ash. The Rocky seemed to be a little more flavorful, but both were excellent. I'm not a big fan of box pressed cigars, but, that aside, I highly recommend either for the smoker not yet ready for a full-bodied stick, or for those times when you'd like something a little milder.

Pretty hard to beat these Oliva G's for value. Very tasty! A very good medium plus choice. The Rockys are also pretty good. I did find a few construction issues with the Rockys. A wrapper that came loose, one wrapper bunched at one end creating a draw leak, and most have a somewhat uneven burn. Still, this pairing is a good deal.

Oliva's great smoke, but the rp's, are going down the tubes, like many cigars. The flavor to my liking, but the burn is very inconsistant. Love ashton heritage, same.....stopped buying them. Still wud buy this duo again !!!

Excellent combo pack. Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 is my go-to cigar. Love it. Just getting into some Oliva, which I am finding to be very well constructed and very consistently good. Burns very well. This pack arrived fresh and in perfect shape. Highly recommend for someone who enjoys medium-bodied cigars.
