Smooth & long
One of the best cigars for the price. Very smooth, easy draw, and long lasting.

Great everyday cigar
My brother turned me on to this little everyday cigar, tried it and liked it . So I ordered up a box. The price is fairly inexpensive per stick and I don't mind if I don't finish the whole thing while doing yard work or doing outside chores. The only thing is I find that the cap comes off pretty easily after only a few min of smoking it. Nice taste not too strong but gobs of smoke and good draw.

Newbie
I'm relatively new to the world of cigars and was looking for an inexpensive mild cigar to fell my way around with. This one works for me, its a mild, easy smoke. I will experiment with others but this seems to be a good place to start for a man on a budget who enjoys a good smoke when the notion strikes him.

Good Times country man great cigars
These Country man cigars are great everyday smokes for the money, I normally smoke Good Days factory rejects Robusto.I believe they are the same cigar just changed the name.not sure but love em

Good smoke at good price
These cigars are factory made and not fancy. They do have an uneven burn. But they are very mild and sweet. Go great after cutting the lawn or on a long walk.

Country Man Robusto Maduro
Great little cigar. Smokes easily not wrapped so tight you can barely draw through it. before lighting the cigar smell the wrapper and you can smell dark chocolate. After lit no harsh odor as some cigars have. Great little gem.

COUNTRY MAN CIGARS
I AM ALWAYS LOOKING FOR A GOOD SMOOTH SMOKING CIGAR. ONE OF THE MOST ENJOYABLE SMOKE FOR ME WAS THE COUNTRY MAN. A NICE FULL BODIED FLAVOR THAT STAYS LITE AND LASTS A GOOD LONG TIME.

Cant beat 'em
For the price, I'm incredibly impressed. They burn even and burn long for a robusto. They taste good and are a perfect day smoke.

Good budget smoke
Pretty decent budget stick especially for the price point. I would swear these were chocolate infused going by the aroma. Good consistent construction for a low cost smoke. A machine made that performs more like a handmade with a distinct flavor. I will buy these again.

Think TWICE before buying these!
I thought this would be a very good cigar, but it's a dog rocket! Wrapped poorly, punched at te tip and draws terribly. I don't think I will even give these out to "the beggars" Maybe some time in solitary confinement will straighten them out. .

Nice smoke
Very light tasty smoke. Hint of vanilla. For a cheap cigar,it will not dissapoint.

Good Times Country Man Robusto Maduro
I actually prefer these cigars as an everyday smoke. The flavor is good, the burn is consistent and even. The ash is well formed and firm. These cigars are worth the price. They are not the top of the line, but they are a good cigar for those on a tight budget. The fact that they are individually wrapped in sealed cellophane makes them all the nicer for a day at the park. I have found that the hole in the end is a bit small on some but I use a cutter on them so it has been no problem. In my last box I had only 1 of 50 that was difficult to smoke.

Great daily cheap smoke
For the money it is hands down the best smoke you can have. I smoke them , give them away, use them as a cigar during the work day...... love the cheap price..... give me a box for the review ....please ?

Large, cheap, and below average.
I was not impressed by these. The only thing you can really say about them is that they are large for the price. But, that just means more time smoking something not that good. I find them to have draw issues more often than not. The taste is too mild, and the smoke has a bit of a chemical aftertaste to me. They are just one step up from gas-station cigars. I smoked a couple to try and the rest are just sitting in my stock to be passed out at a party to people I don't know well someday. I wouldn't push them on my friends.

Best yu can get for the price, I was impressed
Best I have ever had at this price. I will buy these from now on instead of the stale cigars you buy at the gas station. Mild to the end, slow even burn.

Awesome cheap burn
This is a great stick for those quick opportunities for a cigar. Smooth and easy to smoke, Burns well, doesn't require much work, and smokes in about 45 minutes. The wrapper is very sweet. If you aren't into that, this isn't for you. I smoke these in between jobs on the road.

A fair cigar for the money. Can smoke as many as you want without going broke. A few out of the box would not stay lit or didn't burn evenly.

Fifty/Fifty
Well made cigars! Great price! Then, there is the cloying, sweet taste. If you can get past that, you are home free. I couldn't. With that unnatural sweetness, it definitely turned into a boring smoke. And quite of few of these cigars developed a burnt leaf taste about half through. However, I give them points for their construction and value.

Way better than I expected
These are the first machine made cigars I've purchased in a very long time, and I must say I'm very impressed. Pleasant slightly sweet flavor and aroma. A little bit soft, but not bad at all. I've had a few that burned a little uneven, but again, not bad and most smoke evenly. Can't beat the price. I'll definitely buy more.

Has a good flavor half way down then becomes bitter. Even tho it is punched it has a hard draw.

Best cheap cigar that is actually regularly available.
Good, dependable, inexpensive cigar that seems to be in good supply. My hint is to clip the end off to make it easier and less messy to smoke.

Good ol' fashioned "5 cent cigar"
I must say that I was impressed with this particular machine-made. This is a very good cigar, especially for the price. It reminds me of the old Roitans my grandfather smoked 50 years ago. You know the old saying, "What this country needs is a good 5-cent cigar."? I think this was what they were talking about. Tastes quite good, and holds together well. A bit soft, as is often the case with machine-made. And the tips with the pre-drilled holes can be pretty rough. But I usually open them up a bit anyway by clipping the tips, so it's not an issue with me. Over all, a great buy. I will be back for more.

Good cigar for golf
This cigar reminds me a bit of Swisher Sweets in flavor. However burns much longer. Was impressed with the evenness of the burn. Great value when compared with other machine mades.

Not too bad
Very mild. Found them to be a bit spongey. Not a bad stick

Okay For Everyday Smokes
They're okay for everyday smokes and giving to friends but they are far from being a premium smoke (which I don't give to friends). They actually burn decent (no canoeing or wrapper coming loose) and are on the mild side. One problem is that I have to rod them several times because of the tight roll (by machine, I assume). Taste is somewhat on the sweet side which is okay but gets a little much toward the finish. Probably will not order again but I won't say that they are junk. But, you get what you pay for.

Good everyday smoke, nice flavor. Has a tendency to close up while smoking and the draw becomes very hard but with a poke is back in business.

Bigman's Review
I love the bold taste of this cigar. When I started I was like this maybe too strong for me. But once you get into it, that is when the flavor and the smoothness of the cigar kicks in. I love this brand.

Don't go there.
The first box of these I bought were ok. These are terrible. They have knots in them. Hard draw. Uneven burn. Thinking about grinding them up and using for oil sorb.

Great cigar!
I am very impressed with these cigars. Being machine made I really didn't expect much, boy was I surprised. They are very good. They have a hearty flavor, they burn well and smell great. The price makes them a definite seller. I have decided to make these my everyday smoke.

a good smoke
I was looking for an everyday inexpensive cigar and at this price range I couldn't be too particular. But I was very surprised at this one, I have ordered them a few times and I think the Maduro is my preference. They burn even, have a good draw and taste decent. So if you're looking for a budget smoke give this one a try.

I have been buying cigars from CI for about ten years......always trying to find a bargain. I hit the jackpot with these maduros from Country Man...for the price.......there is no comparison.....you could put a fancy ring on them and charge triple and they would still be a good buy.....but don't.....after all I am still a hunter of bargains..........thanks for the cigar

Impressed
Order arrived today and while filling the humidor I couldnt resist trying one. It had an even burn with only minimal canoeing, and to my surprise the box came pre-punched. Smoke was mellow, consistant throughout the stick, and the cigar lasted me over an hour. It stayed lit even when placed in a tray for a few minutes. The reason for a 4 star rating is it was my first one. If they all smoke as well as this first one did, it'll most assuredly go 5 stars with me, and be a standard in my humidor.

Pleasantly surprised
The Country Man Maduro is a decent smoke, machine made not withstanding. The Maduro wrapper adds a lot to the smoking experience. I usually clip the end off to get a more natural draw so I do occasionally get a little tobacco in the draw, but nothing more than I tend to get from a Cuban sandwich hand rolled. Good value for the money.

Cheap, tasteful, enjoyable

Not bad for the money.
I find these an everyday cigar that I can afford. They taste good, smell good and draw better than the natural wrapper Churchill of the same brand. Some inconsistency in construction with an occasional hole on the wrapper cause draw issues, but in general not too bad. Mild flavor, nice ash, all in all not a bad cheap cigar.

smooth, mild, enjoyable, everyday machine-made cigar. Superior to my previous order of Brocatus brand that was catalogued as "mild" but was really "medium" and harsh tasting.

great for an inexpensive cigar
got a box for a annual cigar-party and it went over quite well. They are easy smoking cigars that most people really enjoyed. Some more fancy cigar guys poo-poo'd these; however, once they tried it they were happily surprised. These certainly fit the need and were individually wrapped and pre-punched for easy smoking even for a novice. i certainly was impressed and will consider again next year for the party again!

Worth every penny I spent on it and it wasn't much:) After 2 months in humi it turned from good to the best cheapie I ever tried. Very tasty thick smoke, even burn but still one of the ugliest I have in my humi:)

Great tasting and pleasant aroma.
These are great cigars for the price.

Very nice machine made
Honestly, you have to consider this for what it is. For an inexpensive machine made it really is a great smoke. Easy draw, plenty of smoke and no weird chemical tastes. Not what I will pull out of the humidor when I want to enjoy an after dinner drink but certainly great when working around the house or on the boat. When we have company and someone wants to try out a cigar for the first time, this is what I hand them. It's an easy smoke for a beginner. I would also recommend this for someone trying to get away from cigarettes. You can smoke as little or as much of it as you like and chuck the rest - guilt free.

OK for cheap.
Taste is mild, consistency isn't the best. Some are rolled way to tight, some are OK to draw on from the start, but I have to use my Draw Poker on most of them. All in all they are OK for what I can afford.
Customer Testimonials
These are not a bad smoke, but not working for me. They are very mild with one dimensional flavor; simple. I prefer Principes over these by far, for cheap everyday smoke. None of these will replace a good stick for a optimum smoke, but for kick around cheap smoke they suffice.
When I bought this cigar I thought it would be a cigar to hand out to my buddies, but after smoking one I found out this is a surprisingly great cigar. Well built and smokes better than some $3.00 and $4.00 cigars. Makes a good every day stogie and it's well priced. I will be buying about four more boxes and ....No duds! All of 'em smoked good. Not the prettiest to look at, but great quality. Thanks Cigars International!
Very good inexpensive cigar. Nice draw every time. Not too tight. Smooth flavor. This is my favorite every day cigar
I have bought mega-samplers and have not found a single cigar I enjoyed. These however are a smooth, very enjoyable smoke. I have smoked 2 boxes and have not found a bad one yet. Good construction (not too tight) they burn evenly with plenty of smoke. They are my every day smoke
Even with shipping costs, these were less than a buck each. Well worth it. They burn well and hold a good long ash if that matters. They are mild without tasting like newspaper. Surprised me because I only buy cheap, mild cigars and there have been some disappointing ones lately. I'll be willing to buy these again when I run out.
I read many of the other reviews before I made this purchase. I like to keep one of my humidors full of cheap smokes for every day usage and this seemed like it would be a good bargain. When the box arrived I surely thought I had made a poor decision. By no means is this a "pretty" cigar and it is machine made. In fact I thought just by looking at them I would end up junking them in the end. However, the first time I lit one up I was amazed at the taste. These are actually quite good; creamy and a decent flavor mild flavor. They even have a decent bouquet while burning. Good with a cup of coffee. I will say that they were quite moist/humid on arrival. In fact, my humidor went from 70% to 80% overnight and even four days later only dropped back down to 78%. So it did take some drying out time to bring the humidity levels back down. Not sure if other boxes would be the same. I would definitely purchase them again though when these are out!
Great smoke and value!
Received an order of maduro churchill's last night. Have smoked 3 and have the rest in the humidor. Very nice for the price.
Nice smoke for the money...thanks CI!
DO NOT LET THE LOW PRICE FOOL YOU! I wanted an everyday smoker and I took a chance on these. I had tried many other cheaper sticks sent to me in samplers, but many of them were real turds. I received these, put them in my two humidors and forgot about them. A few months later, I grabbed one and sat down on our porch swing and lit up - wow! It was hard to believe this was a 'less-than a'buck' smoke.... Very good and much more than what I was expecting when I ordered them. It is a mild-medium smoke, gets a little stronger towards the end, nice and smoky with a good finish. I can smoke these when driving on my Jeep, mowing the yard, or floating in the pool. If you are looking for an everyday smoke to help you unwind while looking at the sunset and drinking a beer - Country Man is for you.
These were a pleasant surprise. They are flavorful mild cigars that draw well, smoke even, have a vanilla smell and creamy smoke. I hope this isn't an introductory price as they are cheap enough I can light one up any time I want. They are a decent machine made that are a respectable smoke for a very low price. They will not impress anyone who smokes high end hand rolled cigars but are a pleasant flavorful mild smoke worth the price for sure.
It's cheap and a good morning smoke, or out on the lawn mower. I don't want to waste my Man-o-war when I'm doing yard work so.
Good cigar, decent draw, burn well. Not too bad for tast and aroma, however, I'm not too crazy about the sweetness. All things considered it's not that bad for the price.
For a good banging around smoke these are the one. Mild yet tasty great for driving or putzin in the garage. Super budget stick.
I didn't set the bar to high at the price per box but even so these were awful! I was looking for a cheaper everyday smoke as I smoke 3-4 cigars daily but these failed to impress at all. They have no flavor.... I have smoked 3 and cannot stand the thought of smoking another one! I am returning the balance for credit....
Harsh to start but you get used to it, not the best...
I would not recommend these to a friend. Being machine-made, there's something to be said for. After smoking a few...I lost interest and still smoked them all just to justify my purchase.
Best cheap cigar I have ever smoked. They are great everyday smokes. ordered the Maduro but sent me the natural but not complaining they are great everyday smokes.
These were supposed to be natural, but there is a flavor/scent added to them that smells rather like chocolate. These would be pretty good if you don't mind the added flavor. I don't really care for flavor cigars myself though. :(
Not a bad cigar for the price at all.. good for a cheap everyday smoke..
Great flavor ! I have a girlfriend that loves them! Great everyday smoke. Let them rest in the humi for a month and even better. Roll them a little tighter would be nice. It's a machine made and worth every penny.
On my second box of the maduro robusto, what a great smoke! This has become a everyday cigar. Rustic, easy draw and great flavor.
There is no doubt this cigar can be classified as a cheapie. There's a secret, though, to enjoying it more than you might a cheapie. Simply close your eyes! The damned thing isn't as pretty as some, but it really is a nice smoke. I bought fifty of the maduro Churchills on a whim and I'll do it again. A big more than mild and quite flavourful, an even burn and excellent draw. I've had much more expensive cigars that I don't enjoy as much as this one. I don't believe a cigar is 'good for the money.' It's either good or it isn't, though I'll admit some are better than others, price notwithstanding. Try this thing; I don't think you'll be sorry.
I wanted to spend less on my everyday smokes, so when a good sale came along I could stock up. I tried most of the machine mades, but after smoking Pinar Del Rio or Padilla, I couldn't even put most of them to my lips. So, I bought a box of Country Man naturals, hoping for more, and I got it. The construction was not bad and the slight touch of sweet was pretty good. Sometimes a little more flavor is better, so, I got a box of the maduro. I was very surprised. Best domestic grown and wrapped, all natural cigar I have ever had! Don't get me wrong, you don't want to chew them for long, because they are short filler. But, $35 for 50 and a normal size smoke and real tobacco! I will be buying them for a long while.
I bought the box of 50 Churchill Maduros. For about $35 I am pretty happy with what I got. They Do look incredibly rough, and they are very soft and loosely rolled, BUT they are VERY smokable. They are, (unlike many cheap hand-mades) unoffensive in their flavor; being mild, and with more than a hint of sweetness. I use them as a guilt free extra smoke to pad out a day off, or extend my evening.
35 years of smoking cigars, I smoke 2 to 4 daily, I have purchased in my life as low as 50 cents a Cigar to as high as $15.00 a cigar the Countryman cigars have shocked me, it's better than some of my high ends sitting in my humidor. I'm not sure for this great tasting cigar why it's selling so cheap. I hope it's not an introductory price only. with this great price I can smoke and hand over to my friends without breaking the bank.
Well pleased with my new box of Countryman natural toro's, An easy drawing well constructed, evenly burning little gem. The Connecticut broadleaf gives it a slightly sweet character and I find it a pleasant change from my normal maduro cigars. I would have bought more since receiving the first box but much to my chagrin they are sold out! Come on CI stock up! There is going to be a lot of demand for these cigars! Not 90 rated but a good affordable everyday cigar!!
