Man O' War Armada

5 Cigars

Description

Worth. Every. Penny.

A $20 cigar runs counter to every fiber of the deep discounting instinct that runs through CI Nation's red blood. Many expensive cigars are simply 3-dollar sticks with a 10-dollar bill wrapped around it. But from time to time such a price tag is warranted…. expensive because they're actually, well, expensive. Extra care, extra long processes and extra steps during production, extra aging and optimum fermentation, extra rare and costly tobaccos and materials. Man O’ War Armada is all that and more. It's a special, personal blend of cigar master and Man O’ War maker A.J. Fernandez. A tasty elixir draped in a dark, toothy, Ecuador-Sumatra wrapper leaf and bringing a full-frontal assault of flavor: complexity like you read about, an eruption of Cuban-esque power yet nicely balanced, over-the-top notes of earth, vanilla, coffee, spices, and cedar with a crisp tobacco core. Gloriously full, voluptuous and dense, disarmingly redolent. A super-premium of the first order (red cape sold separately).

Delicious smoke! Highly recommend. Burn time around 1.3 hours. Paired with a nitro infused vanilla stout. Nutty on the draw, bit of leather on the exhale. Retrohale was a mix of nuttiness with some earth and flower. Great smoke. Will buy again

I rate this stick higher than 4-stars, but just can’t find a way to round up to 5, even if I assume some of you who love black pepper would do it. This is a full-bodied pepper bomb for those who like just a tiny bit of complexity. Within the full category, a good deal less strength than Cain F or CAO Flathead. Any highly experienced smoker on a full stomach should be fine with the Toro. Super smooth for a pepper bomb, and does have 15-20% flavors other than pepper, including even sweetness well in the background, espresso and leather. Hint of cinnamon. This is the kind of stick where I can’t taste dark chocolate, but some of you almost certainly will. Wrapper surprisingly pretty, slick, small veins and very little tooth; impeccable draw on 2/3 of sticks, 1/3 a little stiff but still OK. I collect lighters and don’t mind touch-ups, but the burn will go crooked within the first inch. Pairing? I’m not a peated Scotch kinda guy, but I’d think this would be a great stick for those who do.

It has effortless draw, a great burn, and is quite complexx. A medium, to full bodied smoke, that gets better with each puff

Incredible cigar. Layers of complex flavors, great burn line, and hefty in girth. The best MoW has to offer, and a must have for your humidor.

This cigar is probably the most flavorful MOWs I've smoked, but strong enough to knock you on you ass. As usual impeccably made with a beautiful burn. Wish they weren't so expensive. I usually only buy them when on sale and even then they're still pricey.

A really good smoke. Probably not worth the $20 msrp, but if you can get them for around $10...worth every penny!

This is just a see ya in a couple hours cigar. The armadas are good blended cigars with good construction . When you light this up it basically says to anyone who cares....Yep see you in a couple hours. No I will not be watch grays anatomy with you. I have important things to do out side. Or...Now that I cooked all that chicken I think ill do a brisket since i have another couple hours on this cigar. Well it doesn't last that long. But if you are one of those BBQ guys who use a crutch then maybe. But if you use a texas crutch you probably vape.

Quite possibly my new favorite cigar. Great smoke and perfect flavor on the bold side. Extremely tough asking price, so when you can find a deal on them, they are undoubtedly the way to go.

In my opinion the best of the Man O’ War series. Strong flavors hit you up on the first draw. Full bodied smoke fills you mouth with all the rich flavors - leather chocolate spice and more. Draw is just right and construction won’t leave you with an unraveled stick halfway down.

One of my all-time favorites, I buy them whenever they're on sale (quite pricey otherwise). Always flawless construction and draw, never a clunker in probably the 30 I've smoked. Fairly mild for AJF, but delivers a well-balanced complex mix of leather, wood and sweet spice flavors and since it's a Gran Toro, well you'll be savoring it for quite a while, so have a couple of hours free to really enjoy one.

Love the flavor but they have a very loose draw, like they were not rolled with enough tobacco. To me they were a medium bodied cigar with lots of flavor. Seemed kinda light compared to other cigars as far as weight in the hand which I thought was weird . fast shipping as usual and a mind blowing deal on them. I'd buy these again for sure, but only if they were on sale. Im a huge man o war fan. Had my first man o war in Afghanistan in 2017 and will likely smoke man o war cigars for the rest of my life.
