Davidoff cooked up a special batch Dust off the ol’ suit and tie, ‘cuz we’ve got a new limited edition release from Davidoff that promises to excite cigar enthusiasts and foodies alike. Davidoff hosts an event called the Tour Gastonomique, which sees the company working with a world-renowned master chef in order to create dishes that perfectly complement their cigars. Last year, they held this event in the Dominican Republic for the first time, and released the Davidoff Chef’s Edition to stores for the first time. Made in a single size: a 6” x 54 Toro, Davidoff Chef’s Edition features a Habano 2000 wrapper leaf over Ecuadorian Connecticut binder and Dominican filler leaves including numerous strains of San Vicente. As you may expect from a top-shelf Davidoff handmade, the construction on this one is flawless. Puff after puff reveals layers of creamy, earthy flavor, staying cool down to the nub. It’s a pricey buy-in, but this is one special occasion show that’s well worth the admission.
