Stepping into uncharted territories

Cohiba, the king of the crop, the deity of the Dominican, has accomplished almost everything there is in this industry. One of the most recognizable names in the land, Cohiba has pumped out countless Dominican favorites over the years. Now, they are on to new horizons, getting their feet wet for the first time in the fertile soils of Nicaragua with the release of the Cohiba Nicaragua.

This concoction of finely aged leaves boasts a bolder profile than many we’ve come to know from Cohiba. Adorned with a milk chocolaty Sun Grown Colorado Oscuro wrapper, this prize looks good enough to eat. Brimming with Nicaraguan long-fillers from Jalapa and Esteli all hugged by a Nicaraguan binder also from Jalapa, this is one medium to full-bodied masterpiece prime for the pickin’. Complex notes of cedar, leather, and pepper meld beautifully causing those who partake to begin frantically searching for another as soon as they see the nub is in reach.

Great smoke at a reasonable price
This is currently my favorite smoke... I have reordered twice. I don't think you can beat it for the $$.

Good stick
This is a good stick. I actually prefer them over the red dot series.

Less than the Cohiba name
Ok, Cohiba is the grand name in cigars. But the Nicaragua is more average than its price and reputation advertises. Appearance is good, pre-draw is smooth cedar. Once lit, its pepper punch calms to a brief leather then ends with more pepper. Might relax with humidor time, but it's not my cup of tobacco.

Great little smoke
All you have come to expect from a Cohiba in a short smoke. Great taste, lots of full flavor. Burns slow. A definite must try.

Cigars are very tight/hard, poor draw, and difficult to keep lit.
Do not recommend and will not by again. Still have four sitting in my humidor since purchase and they are not getting any better.

Part of the Winter Wonderland sampler - it's decent, but i had difficulties with draw & smoke output. It looks beautiful, has a solid medium body, a sweetness that comes and goes. You can do better for the advertised price of these cigars, but I got a pretty sweet deal. I'm going to let the remaining 3 rest a while and hope for the best.

What's To Say?: Just a great cigar
Great Taste, Smooth Draw, Even Burn. The wrapper filler/binder combination makes for one great tasting cigar

krusty the clown
Picked up a 5 pack. Let them sit for 2 months. Brutal burn on all 5 of these cigars. Loosely wrapped with plenty of hard spots after lighting. The ash kept 'mushrooming'. Loose draw, and the cigars all canoed. Cigar looked like a clown cigar that exploded at the end. I thought 1 was a fluke but all 5. Ugh. Save your $$ and do not buy these Nicaraguan clown cigars. Smoking the last one as I speak and am putting it out now after 1" of torture. Frustrated.

Best Cohiba Available IMO...
I picked one of these (Toro) up at my local B&M to try before I commit to a box and these are great! No hype on this Cohiba, it's totally legit! One of the best Nicaraguans I've had, including everything from Pete Johnson (Tatuaje & L"Atelier) and Don Pepin. As soon as I can swing it, I'm buying a box. Try a five pack of these, you won't be sorry.

Customer Testimonials
The best Cuban cigars are now even better (if that was possible). God bless the courageous people who defected and took the Cuban-seed tobacco to the Dominican Republic, where the best Cuban cigars have been made for decades!....
A good example of a Nic puro. Medium-Full body and silky smooth. Chocolatey flavors with nice aged tobacco. Very nice cigar. However, for the price point, there are MUCH better smokes available. Until Cohiba prices these are more inline with other premium Nic Puros such as Padron, Tatuaje, Don Pepin, Joya De Nicaragua, ect. I will not purchase again.
