Brick House Maduro

Maduro in the house!

Surely you’ve heard of Brick House, a 92-rated gem that managed to work its way onto the “Best 25 Cigars of 2010” list. Well J.C. Newman is back with the Brick House Maduro. This cigar is darker and spicier than its predecessor. An oily Brazilian Arapiraca Maduro wrapper houses a blend of premium Nicaraguan long-fillers and a Nicaraguan binder. The bold, full-bodied flavor profile is punctuated by notes of cocoa and sweetness. Slow-burning, firm in hand, and deliciously tasty, it’s a fitting follow-up that will easily work its way onto your top ten list.

Brick House Maduro Mighty Mighty (Gordo)
One of my favorites so far...would have been 4 or 5 starts but a couple had wrappers that came undone from being dry.

Curious cigar
This is a strange cigar. I purchased a 5-pack and found all of the sticks to be uniformly well constructed and having the appearance of much more expensive cigars. I further agree with the 5 star reviewers who indicated a smooth, consistent burn down to the nub. I scratch my head, however, over the cigars 'medium-full' label. I found all the cigars in my package to be consistently mild with the flavor and richness improving somewhat in the last third of the cigar. I usually smoke a 5 Vegas maduro or R&J Reserve maduro; both of which pack far more flavor. Bottom line, this isn't a bad cigar but at a fairly high price point.

Very disappointed. I've tried 3 of these so far, and each one tasted nasty, and had terrible draw.

Brick House Maduro Robusto
Definitely one of my go-to cigars. Rich cigar, lots of cedar and dark coffee. Very affordable for this quality of cigar!

Great cigar, awesome value
I was given a Brick House Maduro by a friend and thought it was a great smoke, which led me to order a 5-pack. Cigar is smooth and does not attempt to be overpowering, which is a great thing for a maduro stick in my opinion. I did have 1 start to canoe on me, but it could have been due to the wind or due to how it was rolled. It did not ruin the cigar and the other 4 burned great. I would definitely recommend others give this cigar a try, you may find it a new addition to your collection.

Rich & Smooth
I'd heard a lot about Brick House and was not disappointed when I finally got around to trying one. I'm a Maduro guy, so the rich taste is outstanding with no bitter after taste. It smoked the same from beginning to end.

Very Nice
Very nice and consistent flavor from start to finish. I puffed on it until it was a tiny nub. Burned a little uneven at first.

A quality stick
I really like the Brick House Maduro Robusto. Not a long smoke, maybe 45 minutes but high quality taste and burn. I have kept a few from my order in the bottom of the humidor to be re-discovered later.

With all the good reviews, this might seem out of place. Picked up one of theses at random. I let it stew for a couple weeks in my humidor, at a constant 70% humidity. NASTY. Might have been just this stick, but was bitter to the point that I could not finish it. Uneven burn, and unraveled from the start. will give it another try. Sometimes you just get a bad one.

If I remember
I received these back in July, and to the best of my knowledge I enjoyed these. I smoke several cigars a day and tried these when offered as a special. I would gladly order more when on special again.

Best Cigar for the money..............
This cigar is an extremely satisfying smoke, filled with flavor. This is my go to stick for outdoor activities like golf and fishing... but also goes perfectly with relaxed smoke and cocktail. Fact is I have had cigars that cost twice as much that really don't stack up... Try some you won't be sorry....

Primo Smoke at the best price.
It's great, not only to be able to find, but obtain a great smoke at one of the best prices around! CI always comes through with the selection and quality, why waste my time looking elsewhere? Keep doing what makes you tops in the industry!
Customer Testimonials
I have smoked 2 of these gems. CI says med/full, but I would say these are full bodied. Spicy and peppery. They both just got better and better as they burned. The final third was amazing. Leathery and peppery with hints of vanilla. For the price, can't be beat. Made it into my rotation.
Decided to take advantage of some of the holiday sales so I picked up the 12 Days of Xmas Sampler III and it included one of these beauties. All I can say is what a fantastic smoke - another diamond in the rough. These will be a regular in my humidor.
Just tried these and switched from Padrons. Excellent cigar!
I first read up on this great smoke and finally had to buy a few, they came in today and I was blown away. A very tasty stick, not to overpowering and a great finish. I put the rest in my humidor and I will let them sit, only imagining they can only be tastier next time I smoke one.
Cigar God I thank thee! Wow what a great smoke! You've got to beat the ash off it. Smooth tasty, amazing!
Absolutely, one of the best I have ever smoked. One of my favorites when I can afford this fine cigar.
Yes....these things rule. Excellent bang for the buck is dead on. I love anything maduro so I was excited to try. Did not disappoint at all! Commodores BTW, not Rick James! ;)
I've smoked about 15 of the Mighty Mightys so far and my overall opinion is good. However, I have noticed some inconsistencies in burn and flavor from smoke to smoke. I will continue to smoke them because when you do get a good one, they are damn tasty.
The Brickhouse Maduro is a great tasting cigar. Smooth taste and robust flavor. It has a great aroma. I like this one!
Brickhouse Maduro is a very nice cigar. Robust flavor with some kick and very well constructed. Enjoyed it to the nub. Nice peppery finish and aftertaste is good.
This truly has become one of my favorite smokes. I belong to local cigar lounge by my house and everybody who tries it loves it. The lounge owner had to stock it in his retail store because of the demand. As the previous gentlemen said it is strong without being over-powering and has a great draw. I have had a box for over a couple months in my new electric cigar cabinet and they are perfect right now. No doubt one of the best maduro's for the money!
I just ordered my second box of these bad boys, this time going with the larger ring gage "Mighty Mighty" Maduro! I received my first box and lit one up and wow was I impressed, from the pre lite draw to the final puff, it was awesome! I am not well versed in cigar speek, but I know what I like, and I like these. I would recommend them to anyone
....Eclipsing the Rocky Patel 15th Anniversary. Once I got home, I ordered another 5 pack to get me by while the wineadore is being finished. Just smooth and good strong complex flavors without the overly peppery finish.
While walking with my wife down the beautiful coastline village of La Jolla,CA, we past by this quaint cigar shop. I usually smoke maduros, the shop owner asked what I was smoking at the time of entry, I don't remember what it was but he said the smell reminded him of a popular cigar of the past. I smoke 3-4 cigars a day while mixing in a pipe regularly. He asked if I ever tried a brick house? I laughed because of this was the title of a song by Rick James. It has become one of my favorite now. If you haven't tried one yet, that will change into one of your top 3 cigars. Promise. Jake
