Customer Reviews of “Padron 1964 Anniversary Sampler”
While I have not ordered the sampler from my favorite cigar vendor, Cigars International, I picked up a Padron 1964 Anniversary Series Exclusivo while out of town on business recently. This is one outstanding cigar. The Exclusivo is box pressed, burned evenly from the initial light, and held its ash very well throughout the duration of my test smoke. It draws very well. This is a medium-full bodied cigar. I chose the sun-grown wrapper and like the review from CI stated, it has hints of fine coffee, some trace tastes of wood, and a hint of spice. A little past the half-way point there was a toast-like flavor that emerged from the stick. There was no hint of "bite" that is present in some cigars of this strength at the end of the smoke. While it is rather pricey at $90 for a sampler of five, this cigar earns its 95 rating and is worth the price. I've added this cigar sampler to my wish list and am hoping to order the sampler as soon as my humidor will allow the space to hold it. Aficionados take note: this is one hell of a cigar by one of the finest purveyors of cigars in the industry. Place this sampler high on your wish list and order it while it's still available.
