Cubra. A hybrid Habano wrapper grown in Brazil. A rare leaf employed by just a small handful of premium handmades on the market today. A powerful leaf, full of flavor, that's proven to be quite difficult to blend with. But when it's done right, my lord, the results are memorable.
E.P. Carrillo did it right. I mean, could you expect anything less from this time-tested, cigar-making legend? E.P. Carrillo Short Run Cubra is an enchanting, medium to full-bodied specimen that tastes just like it looks - delicious. At play, a well-aged combination of Cuban-seed long-leaf tobaccos grown throughout Nicaragua, secured inside a zesty Dominican Habano binder. Then, the awesome sauce - a perfectly fermented 'Cubra' wrapper glistening with oils. The smoke is sweet and savory, combining a unique fusion of caramel and leather, with underlying hints of coffee, and toasted wood. Each puff grows more intense as you approach the nub, ever-increasing towards a full-bodied, full-flavored finish that's eventful and satisfying, to say the least.
