Gurkha Status Maduro Torpedo - 15 Cigars

The Status quo...

Gurkha Status is an ultra-premium, mild to medium-bodied offering that’ll rival any top-shelf name you can imagine. A truly luxurious cigar, each Status lives up to its bold name thanks to top-notch aesthetics, delicious flavors, and unrivaled quality. Draped in in a dark Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro, the 6.5"x52 torpedo offers up rich, sweet nuances throughout, completing the perfect, mellow maduro. Status looks splendid and delivers a lovely bouquet to match. The underlying Dominican long-leaf core is bound with a heavily fermented Dominican binder, making the Status silky-smooth and buttery throughout. Accompanying the smooth, scrumptious subtleties of cream, cedar, and sweet tobacco is an easy draw and flawless burn. You owe it to yourself to grab a Status most expeditiously.

tried these and was truly disappointed they were flat out bland and tasteless

Smoke with a good cup of coffee or a pint of porter and you won't be disappointed...it is sturdy and solid coffee and toasty flavors...a good long even smoke that's worth it's value

Is it Gurkha's best dark maduro stick out there...no, but is it a solid, tasty, noteworthy maduro cigar...heck yes... Yes, the flavors are not as varied as some might like a maduro cigar to be, but it makes up for it in the hearty, roasted flavor department. As others have said, grab some porter/guiness or strong coffee and enjoy one of these cigars.

I have now smoked 13 of these (Gurka Status Maduro). The taste fits the CI description to a tee. Best with a fresh pallet. Construction and burn were good; no hard spots or tunnels, although several were a bit too tightly rolled.

Taste is ok. 1 out of 3 were tuff to draw.

Good taste. Right now it's my 2nd best anytime cigar (before lunch). Smokes a little tighter than I prefer, but the 2nd half is just right.
