Gurkha Mild & Mellow Sampler

“Good flavor, but terrible burn. I've had one or two of each of the cigars in the sampler and have had awful burns for all of them. Lots of canoeing. Practically the whole time until the last couple inches. I've had to correct them the whole way. Basically torching a majority of the cigar trying to coax them to burn evenly. I thought it was from humidity spikes in my humidor, but new beads sitting at 65% didn't fix the burn. The bad burn caused a thin smoke. A bunch of the cigars look like they might be seconds culled from complete boxes. A lot of random glue spots and a couple of discolored spots on the wrappers. The flavor has been great on all of them especially the 'Beauty' and 'Status'. Really nice mild flavor. Aside from the really frustrating burn issues that hopefully can be fixed with a bit of age, I have enjoyed the cigars' flavor profiles immensely. I just really hope the burn issues are not an example of the whole Gurkha line. I'm pretty sure though these are pulls from boxes due to blemishes since they are a sampler that has a factory sticker sealing them. I felt like I was paddling up stream with the canoeing. Good price per cigar though.”
