“I had a Carlos Torano Dominico OTT (off the truck) and was quite surprised! Nutty upon lighting, excellent earthy flavor. I'm not a huge Torano fan, but these cigars are very very nice for the price!”
“I've been doing business with CI for several years. Love the Vega 5, but for the money, the Torano's are my favorite everyday smoke.”
“It's a decent medium bodied smoke for the price, a good daily driver or golf smoke. I'll be buying more of these for my dailies, good bang for the buck.”
“I just smoked my last Churchill from a bundle on twenty I ordered in June. I reviewed these in July or so I think, so, just a quick update. The last was as good as the first. All perfect draws, burns and all tasty for my mild moods. I just can't say good enough things about this very easy on the pocketbook gar. They are great! A Casa Torano they are not, but they are one of the best value cigars on the market. I will occasionally but from one other site, definitely never from the chumps in Miami with all the crappy house brands. It still amazes me when I read about the guys who pick up a cigar or two from thier local shops. My local shops are about 4 times as expensive as CI. You guys deserve the (label,) King of Kings retailers. Rock on CI. ”
“Recently I found myself longing for a selection of morning cigars, as my humis are stuffed with the likes of Man O Wars, Ruinations, CAO Cameroons, Pepin Garcias, Big Gurkhas... So I ordered a box of Greycliff G2s, "yummy," one 5 pack Tempus, (still like to keep more full bodies,) and a bundle of Torano Dominico. This is a great cigar although they were a bit crushed on some of the ends (not a packaging problem, but a carrier one,) even those are of perfect burn, draw AND a wonderful straight forward tobac taste. They do have a perfect light easy morning draw so if anything they do burn quick but never hot. I AM a Torano fan and you could be very well also without even knowing, as the family are master blenders. Bottom line GREAT gar, for a 2 buck price they are one of my favorite value cigars. Do not hesitate, mild to mid smokers will not be disappointed.”
“My 1st Torano but not my last. At $1.72 a stick including shipping it is the best low end 'mild' stick I've smoked. Very comparable to my Macanudos at 1/3 of the price. A nice even burn and draw. Kudos to CI for this gem.”
“These are great for a mild fan. Nice, even burn…and check out the price!”
“I just finished the 6th or 7th stick from the 20 pack and although the draw on this particular one was a little tight, the rest have been perfect. I've always liked Torano's consistency, flavor, construction, etc., and these do not disappoint. Beautiful wrapper, well made, a great everyday smoke at a price that will keep me coming back. Thanks again to CI for this tasty discovery.........”
“Bought this mild gem due to a CI email. I sincerely doubted that it would be "smokeable" with the low just over a buck price but was impressed by the description and the fan mail. Boy was I surprised! Packed with distinct flavors of roasted nuts and very pleasant spice and coupled with the smoothness that only a true Connecticut wrapper provides, this tasty stick smokes like much more expensive brands. What a bargain! Thanks CI!”
“Well...I just got a bundle of the old blend...and for me it knocks the heck out of this new one...seems to be the same tobacco blend...but in a criollo wrapper? anyway I wish I had space in my humidor, I would surely get another bundle of this mild, but oh so flavorful cigar...thanks CI, you guys are the best...”
“My first impression was that this cigar has no flavor (see previous comments), but after several weeks of aging in the humi they were much better.”
“Nice construction and good burn, but not much flavor. I smoke only mild to medium bodied cigars with Connecticut shade wrappers and found these to be way too mild.”
“No doubt, these are the BEST value in pemium cigars. What a great smoke, from beginning to end. Great draw, great flavor. If I had room, I'd buy some more, but I will soon.”
“Carlos hit a grand slam with this beauty. I received a bundle for my b - day and smoked one right away. Well not very impressed. I put them in my my box for 2 weeks and omg !!! What a great cigar notes of wonderful flavors front to back. Age is key. This is not a give to all your friends type of cigar. This is your best friend has to try cigar.this cigar is a winner and the price a steal. Get them while their still affordable .God bless CI and Carlos a true match made in heaven. ”
“This is my first time trying the Dominico, what a great cigar,it was fantastic from the start .the flavors were amazing thru and thru . And the price you can't beat with a stick . This is my new go to cigar, Carlos made one hell of a cigar. The perfect stick for mild to medium folks. You will love the price, and all the great under tones of flavors . Enjoy .”
“Not too shabby for being so cheap. Smoked one right off the truck after a 2 day journey to the wastelands of Idaho. Tons of thick, chewy smoke. Super mild, could definitely smoke these all day. If you're looking for an everyday gar, this is one you should consider. Thanks CI!”
“Unfortunately I sort of got what I expected from this order. Figured the price was too good to be true, or perhaps I've just become too much of a full-bodied fan, but these sticks are quite lacking in the flavor department. They'll get the job done as a morning smoke or what have you, but you really have to search hard for a flavor profile that most of the time just isn't there. Still, good for handing to friends who don't know any better, but overall even at the price, not the best bang for your buck I have to say. Doesn't diminish my love of Carlos Torano as a brand though. Exodus rules.”
“I got the Torpedo's and I smoked my first one the other day. It is a good mild-medium bodied cigar and it paired very well with a Guiness Stout, actually too well. The smokiness of the Guiness and the dominico made one of best toasty flavors that have ever graced my taste buds. Although I haven't tried yet but, I am sure it will pair well with an espresso.”
“I typically buy Robusto size cigars since I have a heavy draw and about half way through I get them hot and harsh and I am forced to pitch it. I like mild Cigars and especially Dominican so I tried these since they fit my budget for an every day stick and I have smoked Torano before without any issues unlike some other brands (Rocky Patel, Gurkha, and Brickhouse). To sum up the experience in as little words as possible, "This cigar simply delivers." The flavor is mellow, the draw is perfect, ash is firm, burn flawless, and they do not get harsh on the palate. I really enjoy these cigars and would buy them at twice or even triple the price. Fuente should take notice. Honestly if you are still reading this then you are wasting time. Stop. Buy. Enjoy. Thank me later...”
“I got these because of the name, I always loved Toranos, and this stick did not disappoint. I am not one that is good at describing the flavors, but I can tell you that this cigar is great. It starts out with one attitude, then about an inch and a half in, give or take becomes something different. The complexity of this cigar is not one to expect from a -$2 cigar, but neither is it what you would expect from Torano's upper shelf items. The construction is the same though as all my cigars (keep in mind I am not through that awful many of them) have burned with a very even and consistent burn. This cigar rivals many I have spent upwards of $5 in my local shop, and for someone who wants to take a little trip of different flavors in a cigar it is not matched.”
“Great smoke, great price, affordable. I ordered from several different cigar stores. CI has the best prices and the best service. I ordered on a Monday morning and received my order Tuesday afternoon. Keep up the good work. I narrowed down ordering to one company,CI. I haven't been disappointed yet.”
“There are many cheap natural Dominican cigars out there, too many in my opinion. Most of them are not worth the $1 they cost. This cigar is not one of those. It is cheap in price, but not in materials. The flavor is good and the construction is excellent. I've moved away from natural wrappers in favor of maduros, but every once in awhile I like a milder cigar. This one is great to buy a bundle and put away for sharing or a change of pace.”
“Although a novice, I have enjoyed Carlos Torano before (Noventas and 1916 Camaroons among my favs). I bought this as an inexpensive smoke and was prepared to be disappointed. Smoked one off the truck (against my better judgement since I was low on stock). Pleasantly surprised. Not a great "looking" cigar in its somewhat veiny Connecticut wrapper, but a mild, pleasant smoke. Started off earthy and then got a very slight jam and spice flavor, but not overwhelming. Consistent burn and ash from the Dominican filler. Flavor consistent from beginning to end after the first inch. Don't know why they are so inexpensive. They compare well to a Hampton Court or similar in strength. Great value.”
“Looks good. Smells of hay/grass. Burn was perfect, ashed to a perfect cone. Flavor... Meh. Nothing beyond slightly grassy tobacco and a bit of harshness on the finish. I didn't make it halfway before I wrote it off. Stick to the Exodus, which is one of my favorite, which made this one so disappointing.”
“Wonderful every day smoke. Smokes evenly from beginning to end. It may be the best value out there.”
