“I know you hear this a lot, but you've got to try/review the Blue Labels! What a wonderful cigar...what a great CI price!”
“Since I do my business exclusively with C.I., I had never heard of "Blue Label" until C.I. put it out there. I was really surprised at the quality and taste of this cigar. Vanilla, oak, leather and off and on spice. I enjoy the changes of a good complex cigar. With "Blue Label" not only are the flavors pronounced, more importantly, for me, the flavors are very complementary to each other. This type of quality is rare. For those who will try this cigar, I feel you will be as impressed as i was. I will modestly rate this cigar a solid 92. Enjoy. See you at "CIGARFEST '08"!”
“I'm been a Punch and Hoya guy for a long time. Now I'm a frequent (Blue Label) guy as well. I don't feel as if I'm slummin' a bit when I grab a Blue Label (sometimes I grab a couple - don't tell my wife) and head for the porch. This isn't a fishing cigar or a fill in cigar; it's a cigar that I genuinely crave with growing frequency. I've got several boxes in the humidor and I gleefully reach for one of them despite having an ample supply of most of the big name brands on hand. Not a morning cigar - save the Macs and the 5 Vegas Gold for your coffee. Grab one of these when you've got some time on a nice afternoon. If you get a little mojo going, follow it up with a Gran Habano corojo #5 and no one can touch you. Cheers.”
“Let's just say these live up to the hype.Blue Label Nice price, nice draw, nice creamy clouds of white... I don't know what the heck oak tastes like but I do certainly find traces of Vanilla at times. Purchased in a sampler, I'll be buying a box soon enough.”
“The (Blue Label) Robusto I smoked is a nice enough cigar. Well made, firm ash, even burn and a leathery pre-light aroma. I enjoyed the cigar, but it didn't set off any particular fireworks.... ”
“SIMPLY PUT, (BLUE LABEL) IS A FINE CIGAR. I AGREE WITH THE REST OF THE CONTRIBUTORS TO FAN MAIL. NICE PRE-LIGHT AROMA, AND IT'S STRAIGHTFORWARD.”
“...hmmmm.... had I written a comment after my first batch or two, it would have been a glowing review. I loved them, and there was a peppery thing going on, like in other Gran Habano cigars, along with a generally interesting flavor profile. I am smoking a torpedo now, having just opened a bundle up, and the juice is gone. If I had to guess, it would be that they need some time in the humidor, as the smoke is less than abundant. The taste is so so as well at this stage, a mere shadow of the first couple of bundles. Yes, there is a "paper" thing going on, a bit like the La Cuna I had earlier today, another which I had liked very much the first time out, and which also was a tad green this time, I think. I hope the Blue Label pulls it together again. Nothing quite as disappointing as a stick you loved before that you really don't any more. Don't wanna beat 'em up, just telling it like it is...”
“This has been a smoke that I have been dying to try (Blue Label). There has been a lot of hype around this stick and I finally succumbed to the pressure and got a Torpedo. The construction on this smoke is awesome. Great looking wrapper, some veins but small and smooth. Great color as well, medium in shade and shiny, a very nice looking stick. The draw on this smoke is just perfect, not too tight or loose. The flavor is very one dimensional, wood, thats it, no changes no build, from light to las puff, wood. The burn was awesome, I touched it up once and that was because I was letting it go out. I would call this a mild to medium smoke, maybe leaning a little towards the medium. All in all this is a very good smoke. I like a little more complexity but thats just me. I would highly recommend it just because of the burn and draw, and lets not forget about the price, a great value. Happy Smoking”
“Received my box of Blue Label today and was laying them down to rest in the humi for a while. My curiosity got the best of me and I decided to try one right away. Very solid construction. It opened up with a touch of spicy cedar right off the bat then the oaky-vanilla kicked in. Smooth until the end, the flavors kept changing about every 1/2 inch or so. Speaking of inches, the salt and pepper ash held for a solid two inches before breaking off on its own. With CI's rock-bottom price, this one is a veritable no-brainer! Thanks again, CI!!”
“*** I got a sampler pack of the Blue Labels over a year ago (may be two) and wasn't enthused about the 1-3 I had then ... gave a few away ... stuck a few in my humidor ... after reading some recent positive reviews about them, I thought I would revist them ... pulled a corona (6x44) out of the humi and had it tonight after a short fat 5V A, which was very good, but have to say as the second cigar, I think I enjoyed the BL more ... I didn't taste any vanilla, but I think it pretty much matched the descripton on its page ... in addition there was a touch of sweetness which I appreciated after the A. Before this evening, I wasn't considering buying any more, but now, with a good price I would definitely go for more.”
“What to say that hasn't already been said... Incredible smoke. Take the price out of the equation and it still beats most other premiums in taste. The heavy flavor sits in your stomach perfectly. Great after a meal or at the end of the day with a big 'ol cup of coffee. You can't go wrong with this stick.”
“I pick-up a mega sampler and fond these cigars (Blue Label) to be mild-medium. (Not medium-full) The churchill was the best by far..”
“As I sit here chewing through my first of many Blue Labels, I can only think..."Why the hell did I wait so long to enjoy these beauties?" Without a doubt, the Blue Label is an outstanding example of honduran brilliance. I got mine a few weeks ago and let them sit in the humidor for a little while to relax a little. I finally got the gumption up to pull one out...and WOW! They start with a nice vanilla/oak taste, with a great velvety smoke, and gain a little spice as you burn it down. Rarely have I enjoyed a smoke like this from beginning to end, I almost cried a little when I had to put it out. These will be a mainstay in my humidor as long as they make them.”
“im surprised at the negative feedback on this one, yes, this is not a full body smoke. i would say medium at best, but the churchills i have smoked were wonderful, the vanilla thing that is mentioned is overblown, maybe just a touch of it, i get an earthy core. with coffee and cream. not much spice here, except on the finish. this cigar does not taste like any other cigar ive had. it is unique, try a 5er and see.”
“A pure cream break with the Gran Habano tradition. I love this Blue Label too. I feel like a vip too cause of CI's velcome 10 pack deal. But a person could never really say enough about this cigar, it's got all the bases covered with a grand slam home run.”
“I think the Blue Label is great cigar for the price! It nicely constructed, great burn and draw. I tend to like my cigars in the medium range and this one definitely falls in my range. as you smoke and get get towards the end it does pick and get more body. I really enjoyed the peppery and wood taste that left a great coating in my mouth. It was smooth and crisp! Great buy.”
“Just received my box of Blue Label Corona. I wanted to let them nap, but my curiosity got the best of me. Just as described, I couldn't add a thing to the description given by Steve-O, Keith, and the other customers who reviewed this smoke. My rating: 90.”
“Got these Blue Label Torpedos for a good price on one of those " Joe's Daily Deal " things. The few I've tried so far are easily a 8 on a scale of 10 in terms of general over-all taste, burn quality and draw quality. Nothing irritates the dickens out of me like a cigar that wants to always burn cock-eyed (or have a tough draw) and these sure don't seem to be prone to that malady. They have a pretty " middle of the road " cigar taste, nothing too outstanding to mention.”
“These are fantastic sticks! Super well-balanced, with notes of vanilla and oak, never harsh. You can't go wrong with these Blue Labels. I especially recommend the torpedos and the robustos.”
“This is one fine stoogie. Its heavy in the hand, firm packed and the taste is awsome. I've been smoking handmades for more than thirty five years and this cigar can stack up to anything I have smoked including some Cubans. Do yourself a favor and get a box.”
“This baby is just loaded (Blue Label) with a variety of flavors and it looks and holds up just as nice as it tastes. I got a great firm ash, lots of thick white smoke and tasted, oak, pepper, and even some hint of berry. This was amazingly complex for an inexpensive cigar. The only problem was it was gone before I wanted it to be.”
“Just received a box of the robustos a few day ago and aready had two. This cigar looks and smells great pre-light with a few veins. It comes in a nice dove-tailed box. After toasting the foot, it starts out earthy and progresses quickly to a woodsy, nutty flavor with some toasty characteristics. Very nice draw. The smoke is plentiful and strength is med-full as advertised, yet smooth. Burn is not razor sharp, but very nice with no canoeing. I smoked both down to the nub, just turning a little harsh toward the last 1 1/2" or so. This is a fine smoke even if I had paid twice the price, but for this price, you absolutely cannot go wrong. I will not hesitate to order more in the future. If you are having reservations about this one, don't.”
“Hey, the smoke worked for me. I tried a couple in the sample pack. I thought it was a good mild-medium smoke from start to finish, more on the mild side. If I have any negative it would be the failure to hold a good ash. The ash fell off, often. Beyond that, I had a hard time giving the finish nub up. Well worth the money. I'll order some for everyday smokes.”
“The (Blue Label) is an excellent cigar for the price. Good flavor and nice construction. You could polish a few of these off in a day and not feel guilty because the price is just right!”
“This is a fine ‘anytime’ smoke. It offers a modest time-commitment (20-30 minutes) but does not short-change you on quality or taste. The burn is uneven, however, and can send hot embers flying around if you’re not careful. This stick does not hold ash well. That said, it’s a cigar worth trying. If you’re new to smoking or a ‘veteran,’ this one is a must for any well-balanced cigar collection.”
“Well as usual when I'm trying a blend for the first time I just have to try one right OTT. Yeah I know letting them settle for a few days helps but I just can't wait. I just finished my first Blue Label Robusto that I got from the email weekly deal. So far this is a peppery smoke with a med-full profile and hints of earth and cedar as well. I also did not let them rest yet. That being said I wanted everyone to know that this smoke was excellent without rest and I can only imagine it will get much better, a must try cigar at a very decent price! I did not experience any burn issues as previously mentioned in other reviews. Enjoy!”
“This is an excellent smoke. Very smooth and robust. I agree with the man who said it is a Diesel but not as strong. Excellent!”
“I am a novice when it comes to cigars, but I have recently learned not to trust all reviews and not to trust all Fan Mail. Blue label, on the other hand, lives up to everything the reviews have said. I am extremely happy with the one I just finished and look forward to the rest of the box, and considering I paid 40 bucks and no shipping on the torpedoes, I am satisfied with this purchase. Out of all the cigars I have bought and tried from CI this is a winner... Another one is fumas by padilla, although the fumas is not very flavorful in comparison to blue label. This will make an excellent golf cigar.”
“I've waited a couple of months before writing my review of the Blue Label. This cigar is consistent, full of flavor without going overboard, and has a great burn time. If you enjoy the Diesel, this is a milder blend with the same character. Do yourself a favor and ad one to your next order, or go on; "Make me an offer" and see how great of a price you can get on these fantastic cigars.”
“Okay, I admit it - I actually HATED these (coronas) when I first got them. I picked up a box on the auction site for way cheap, but was still really, REALLY disappointed with them - thought all the positive feedback was hooey. So, I smoked them off an on with a sour expression, and left the last two forgotten in an old box in the bottom of my cooler. Until today (06/29/12). It has been exactly one year since I got the box, and I can honestly say the one I had on the way in to work this morning was - in a word - excellent. There, I said it. I'm very glad I didn't review these earlier, as I would have had some very nasty things to say about them that I would now have to retract. If I ever get another box (and I might), I will mark the box "Do not smoke until [year later]" in big, bold letters. I suggest you do the same.”
“Don't let the cheap price or horrible marketing (Blue Label, common, what kinda name is that? I thought it was made by PBR at first) fool you. This is one nice cigar that I would recommend to anyone that enjoys a medium, flavorful cigar. I smoke everyone down to my fingertips enjoying all the new flavors that come. Go with the torpedo, can't go wrong.”
“I'm not a cigar guy that can tell you a smoke tastes like oak and nuts with a hint of earth but I am a cigar guy that can tell you these little bad boys are awesome. Dense and loaded with tobacco, but yet draw out loads of smoke, smooth and enjoyable no matter what taste it reminds you of all I know is they are goooooood. Yum, don't buy them, they're mine.”
“Love my Blue Label! This is my every day cigar. I have tried paying both less and more to find my every day but this is hands down my pick. Heck, it replaces most of my special occasion cigars. I smoke a good variety and MOW Ruin's remain my Flagship stoggie but ya can't beat the Blue Labels for every day quality, taste, burn and draw. I love'em!”
“Just had a torpedo fresh off the truck, WOW!! I've been a cigar smoker for more than 20 years, everything from cheap bundles to the excellent Diamond Crowns. This Blue Lable is one GREAT cigar. You will not, I repeat, not find a better box cigar at two or perhaps three times the price. Great flavor, burn, construction. Can only get better in the humidor.”
“I have stated that the Cuba Libre's are one of my favorite cigars. I tend to lean toward most Honduran cigars. This Blue Label appeals to me in the same way as the Cuba Libre's. Great flavor, draw and burn. The after taste is also not unpleasant, unlike many other cigars I've had over the years.”
