I just finished smoking my 5th Trident Robusto. This cigar is a sleeper for the price. Consistent in construction, pack and burn, from one stick to the next. Nice transitions from chocolate and leather to a nice cream and coffee with some light spice. There is a pleasant underlying sweetness that runs throughout the entire smoke. A solid medium. Gurkha got this one right. Defiantly box worthy.
Big Gurkha fan and really like this one. Great construction, nice even burn and a predictable flavor that carries through to the end. Not a real heavyweight like the Seduction, but truly a pleasure to puff and one that I will order again for the summer.
I had not tried this Gurkha cigar, none of the local shops carried them. I took a chance and bought a box here in CI. I was really impressed. I'm not fond of leather notes in my cigars, but this one doesn't taste like you rolled up a piece of cowhide and lit it up. The leather notes come and go and are very subtle. The blend and balance work well. I won't be handing these out, I'll be keeping them to myself. On my personal scale 7 out of 10, and the price is on point.
I bought a box of the toros on a special for $2 each. This is one of the first Gurkhas I thought was worth the money under $3. Very good medium bodied cigar, nothing fancy, but definitely worth the money. You can't go wrong with them at these prices.
Good smoke. Nice to knock around out in the garage with.
It's not a bad cigar, but nothing to write home about in my opinion. I liked the Gurkha Hudson Bay much more, at a similar price point.
