“This is a wonderful cigar, no doubt. How much "pre-embargo" tobacco it could contain is dubious. Tobacco from 1959 would be absolutely flavorless, regardless of where it came from. This is a gimmick. Personally, I feel there are equally good cigars available at a far better price, and better cigars for equal cost including Camacho's Corojo Limited line.”
“I recently bought the (Camacho Pre-embargo) to celebrate with a few old friends, and let me say that it was indeed a treat. Aside from it's great packaging, this cigar thrilled all four of us, and we aren't novice cigar smokers in the least. One friend even compared it to the Padron 80th anniversary, which I agree with completely. Truly a wonderful cigar at a price that is unbelievable! Great for celebrations or if you just want to treat yourself, the Camacho Pre-embargo will not disappoint.”
“Here's my vote.
If you have $40 just sitting there, why wouldn't you buy these?
I bought these for my two best friends and I when I came home on R&R from Trashcanistan, and I will say that they are most certainly worth every penny. The cigar is medium bodied, yet really complex, excellent construction, perfect draw, and a superb burn.
Don't think about it, just do it. If they're horrible, email me and I swear to God, I will eat them. Not smoke. Eat.”
“I have to admit, I bought these for the novelty. However, after smoking two of them so far, I have to admit again it is one fine smoke. I would expect the craftsmanship to be a bit better on a $13 stick, but the smoke is surprisingly satisfying. Really enjoyable.”
