A: The most important process for a new humidor is seasoning it. This prepares the wood with the necessary moisture to maintain your cigars. You can find directions within the Cigar 101 portion of our Help section. After this process is done, your humidor is ready for cigars. At this point, I would add an active humidification element, such as a HUMI-CARE Crystal Gel Humidification Jar, to maintain the proper humidity levels and the freshness of your precious handmades.
