Great stick! this is one of the best new smokes this year. Bold flavor with a mid -full body that changes as you smoke. Smooth and satisfing from first puff to the nub.
Smoking this cigar is somewhat akin to a religious experience.
I'm a huge fan of the champagne series, so I was anxious to give these a try. What a great smoke! Smooth, flavorful, slow burning and tons of aromatic smoke for maximum enjoyment. Settle in for the long haul 'cause these stogies go on and on and only get better as they burn down. I've found a new favorite..
Normally I prefer lighter wrappers, & I'm a HUGE fan of the Perdomo 10th Anniversary Champagne. I was skeptical when I saw the Champagne Reserve Noir on CI, but since I'm also a big fan of everything Nick Perdomo rolls, I figured what the heck - it'll at least be good, but surely there's no way to top the 10th Anniversary Champagne. OH . . . MY . . . GOD!!! Could NOT have been more wrong! This cigar is simply incredible! As smooth as the 10th Anniversary Champagne, but with deeper richer flavors right from the start. And of course, it only gets better the longer you smoke it. But that's the beauty of these: they are super slow burning, so you'll have plenty of time to enjoy them. If they weren't so amazing, you'd almost be sick if them by the time you were done - almost. The only downside: the monstrous Super Toro, at 6" x 60 lasted nearly 3 hours, so be sure you have plenty of time to enjoy these beauties, cuz you WON'T want to put it out once you light it.
This is the best cigar I've smoked all year period. And, it's the only 60 RG cigar I've ever really enjoyed. Excellent draw, perfect draw, and the construction is flawless. Notes of oak, coffee, and the sweetness that comes from perfectly fermented tobacco. Medium to full to start, and ends up a full bodied full strength cigar. If you smoke cigars you owe it to yourself to try this.
There's not much I can add to what's been said. The original Champagne was my all around favorite cigar. When you also factor in price, it was pretty damn hard to beat. I've sampled RP's, Montecristo, Padron, Cohiba, Tatuaje, Arturo Fuente, you name it. All of those are great...but the Noir is cheaper and every bit as good and in my humble opinion, better. All the smoothness, creaminess, and thick plumes of the original champagne, but with bolder flavors. The addition of a more coffee/chocolate like profile over Champagnes flavors is what puts it over the edge. Fantastic cigar for a blockbuster price of about $6 per stick. Insane.
I enjoy a great many fine cigars. Perdomos, of many varieties, are constantly in one of my humidors.
Great smoke. I've smoked both the robusto and churchill and both are winners.
Excellent smoke. This cigar is smooth and long lasting. I tried the 5 pak and within days ordered more.
The Perdomo Reserve Champagne Noir is a wonderful creation. The flavor reminds me of a brownies...oily cream, cocoa, chocolate, etc. The burn is razor sharp and yields lots of dense smoke. The finish is light and elegant. This stick has earned a spot in my personal top 10. Nick Perdomo is the man!
Smoked this at my local shop. Got it in a 4 pack travel humidor sampler. It wasn't a bad cigar, I've had worse. However, it's not impressive by any means. It's a mild-medium-mild-medium shift mostly. not a lot of diversity in the flavor profile, there's some complexity but it's weak! Basically a really toned down and thick. Probably won't buy this again but worth a try if you're curious. 6.5/10 over all. Well rolled, beautiful wrapper, great draw. Flavor is lacking and same goes for texture.
WoW! I'm not one for writing reviews, however, as I sit on my deck this beautiful spring evening with a Perdomo Reserve Champagne Noir and a some Rye whiskey - WoW! 1/2 inch gray-white ash, chocolate, fruit and pepper on the tongue kids playing in the yard, wife reading a book. This has got to be heaven!
Thoroughly enjoyable.... Rich flavors, full & every bit as refined. My favorite maduro! The Figurado (4.7"x56) is a great value too.
From the first puff of a Champagne original I knew Perdomo would be my favorite brand, after that I have to try them all. The noir is absolutely delicious, smooth, coco, earth, leather, a little spice? Its all there, flavor changes constantly and it never gets dull. Tastes a little Ashy towards the end but I guess thats the signal that your done. My favorite so far, But I have yet to try everything they offer.
So I took a bit of a chance buying a 4 pack sampler of Perdomo Maduros.... But this Champagne Noir... This was an amazing cigar. Before lighting it there was that rich, distinct, semi-fruity smell of raisins. After the first few puffs it developed a creamy, vanilla/cocoa flavor with small hints of cedar and what I can only describe as an "Oatmeal Raisin Cookie" taste (minus the sweetness). My only regret is not having some Grappa to pair with it AND I wish I could have finished it. This cigar was so Nicotine-Heavy that I could only get a little more than halfway through it before becoming "nicotine drunk" as I call it. Awesome flavor, solid build, easy draw, even burn... it is amazing!
Wow, one of the best I've ever smoked! Good quality rich smoke, easy draw, great flavor. I rarely buy by the box, but this will be an exception. Second favorite cigar after AB Prensado.
Absolutely a great cigar with a smoothness that does not make sense at this price. I will order more of these sexy smooth cigars, thank you CI and PERDOMO!
