Victor Sinclair Connecticut Robusto
Not all they were cracked up to be. When I first opened the box they appeared to be a very good cigar, however upon further inspection severa were cracked and you don't get a nice even smooth smoke from them. I will not order these again.

Great flavor, good construction, awesome price.
These are a solid, mild/medium smoke. They have a good burn, great flavor, and you can't beat the price. If you like a milder smoke, pick a box of these up and you won't be disappointed.

First time I ordered, I was pleasently surprised at the quality, construction and flavor of these smokes. Currently working on my third box and will continue to reorder. Great everyday smoke.

A Good Smoke
When I got these, I sort of expected them to be a little light, considering the price. Instead, these things are a good solid smoke. Lots of flavor, plenty of smoke, but still medium to mild in body. I wouldn’t put them up there with a $10 cigar, but you’re not paying anywhere close to $10 a stick for these. This is a great cigar for kicking back, reading a book and sipping your beverage of choice. Goes with scotch, but won’t overpower a beer either. It’s a good all-around cigar.

speed of delivery
I buy all my husbands cigars from this site for many years now he has loved them all , what I wanted to review was the speed of the delivery. at the last moment 22nd I realized I had forgot his christmas cigar gift. they got here in I think two days well before christmas this year. Not sure how this was managed but thank you so very much he was so happy.

Mild and smooth
If you are a mild fan, I think these are one of the best cigars out there regardless of the price. All burn even with a consistent smooth taste. These will always have a spot in my humi as long as they are available.

Surprising
I was really surprised by these cigars. Granted, I'm sure I don't have the most educated palate, but I'd like to think I can tell a good cigar from a bad one. For the price, I think these cigars measure up. Creamy full draws and even burns so far. If the rest of he box burns as good, I will for sure buy these again.

I like these cigars
I have smoked Victor Sinclair Connecticuts for years as my daily smoke. They are consistently excellent cigars, they taste good, and they smoke well. CI please don't run our of Victor Sinclair Connecticut Robustos!!

Victor Sinclair Value
After sampling many labels, I've discovered that V.S. is a great value. These Robustos are well made, burn well and are very consistent in their quality. As the saying goes" a good, every day cigar". On my second box and will continue to purchase for daily use.

Good ,inexpensive mild smoke
These were one of my first purchases when I started cigar smoking more regularly last Summer (instead of a couple cigars a year). I was looking for something mild and inexpensive. These fit the bill perfectly. These are easy to smoke with good mild flavor. I've quickly moved on to cigars that pack a bit more punch but I still use these as my "handouts" to my friends that smoke an occasional cigar. I haven't had a complaint yet.

Good Cigar, Great Price!
I'm no expert on cigars but I know a bargain when I smoke one! I've smoked a few Macs with my "rich friends" and when blind folded most of them, myself included, couldn't tell the difference! Victor Sinclair is a fine smoke for a great price. As soon as there's room I'll be ordering more!

Not a bad purchase
Great draw on them! Taste is mellow and mild as advertised. Good for the golf course as it stays lit well. There are certainly better smokes out there but I am pleased with the quality matching up with the price.

Victor Sinclair Connecticut Torpedo.
I'm on my third order now. Easy draw and lots of smoke. Burn is even. For the price you might not expect tons of subtle taste, and you won't get them. But what you do get is better than anything in this range and maybe a few ranges higher. Definitely on my list of keeper dailies.

Victor Sinclair Connecticut Churchill
Bought a 5 pack of these V.S. churchills. The first one didn't smoke very well, which was mainly my fault because I used a punch and it was off center. I used a cutter on the 2nd and 3rd cigars and nipped about an 1/8" off the end. These 2 so far have been absolutely divine.A good even draw on both and no re-lights what so ever.Nice and smooth all the way to the nub and they both lasted a nice 1-1/2 hours tops ! I am looking forward to my next 5 pack of these beauties .

Good
Just received my first box. Bought it looking for a new mild everyday smoke. The box is very good for a cheap cigar, good mild flavor with plenty of smoke. Only issue was an uneven burn at first, but it evens out midway through. Overall I'm impressed with my first ever VS cigar.
3 out of 5
Cheap is not inexpensive
I saw the sale and always wanted to try these sticks, but now I am disappointed. I smoked one right out the of the mail, wasn't bad. I figure the taste would improve as they settle, still lacking flavor. But, I can say the burn is good, the draw is good, and the construction (with the exception of on or two) has been good. But the taste is something I'm still looking for.

4 out of 5
Consistently decent cigar at a bargain basement price.
Just received my 3rd box of these and am as always very pleased. I find these Victor Sinclair Connecticuts to be consistent in both their flavor and burn with a perfect draw. At less than $2 each (and in a nice box no less) they have become my staple everyday smoke. Are there cigars I like better? Sure. For this price? Not a chance. Easily competes with cigars at 2 or 3 times the price.

Very Smooth and Mild
Great smoke for the price. Very mild and smooth, every single stick burns even with nice thick ash. Though I usually go for a full flavor smoke, these are well above their price point and have a spot in my humidor.

Victor Sinclair CT Torpedo review
This is a mild cigar no doubt but I find them to be tasty and strong enough for me. The size is perfect, the price is perfect, and what I like best about these is that every one of them I've bought has had a perfect burn and an easy draw. That is unusual in this price range. I will likely but these again if available.

Good first impression
Only fired one within first 2 days of receipt. Have cigars ahead of it to enjoy while these season and age awhile. Initial impression is favorable for a daily smoke.

Not So Great
I saw the low price on these cigars and was impressed by the good reviews, but at the end of the day I was disappointed by the flavor and construction. The wrappers tended to peal right out of the cellophane and, though when smoked very slowly there were some pleasant vanilla and sweet spice notes, when smoked at a normal pace they burned too hot. I would recommend other blends for the same price.

A great deal on a good Connecticut
Victor Sinclair's Connecticut Robusto is, by and large, a satisfying cigar once you've let it rest for about 4 to 6 weeks. Though its flavor profile is nothing to write home about —no earth-shattering surprises to speak of here— it is well-constructed and burns evenly, if a bit more rapidly than I would like, and it pairs nicely with a morning cup of coffee. The bunch and the draw are both slightly on the loose side, but if you're looking for perfection at a buck-fifty a stick, well, it ain't 1978 anymore, and in the here-and-now, the V.S. Connecticut leaves most other comparably-priced cigars in the dust. Its closest relative among the Victor Sinclair line is the Primeros Selection, another series that utilizes shade-grown Connecticut wrappers, but this blend is a bit nuttier and noticeably stronger than that one, though I still wouldn't classify it as anything more than "mild-to-medium" in overall body. I should point out, however, that the product description on this page is inaccurate— the Connecticut Robusto is 4.50 x 50, not 5.50 x 50. (The Primeros Robusto actually IS 5.50 x 50.) Please fix this.

Victor Sinclair CT Robusto.....A nice little cigar
If you are looking for a lovely, balanced, slightly spicy, medium-bodied cigar that you can smoke in under an hour, look no further. This cigar is a wonderful choice whether you are out mowing the lawn, sitting by a fire, or relaxing on your porch with a nice cold drink. As a novice cigar enthusiast, I only feel comfortable giving any cigar four stars as I am not confident to call something a 5-star, but this cigar very likely may be.

Nice smooth smoke on those cigars that are made correctly. Approximately 25% of the box were so tightly rolled they were very hard to draw and the short fillers causing the problem became a hard burnt mass putting the cigar out.

Victor Sinclair WoW!
There are so many makes and brands out there now that a person can go nuts trying to find the "Go To" cigar. I have found that in my 20 years of firing up my stories (and I have fired up a bunch of different ones) from the 2 buck to the 20 buck ones that it's hard to find a cigar that remains consistent in flavor and with a a good burn. However I will bet on my choice of the Victor Sinclair connecticut to be true each and every time I fire one up. It's my Go to cigar.
Customer Testimonials
Love this cigar! Simple and very satisfying. Creamy smoke, and didn't burn to hot. I'd definitely recommend this stick to friends and acquaintances alike. Found these in the daily deals section and there's absolutely zero let down. The most bang for my buck that I've ever got. Thank you, Victor Sinclair!
Great cigar for the money
I ordered the Robusto. It has a thin, fragile and sometimes imperfect wrapper, a cheesy looking ring and the box is most definitely not humidor-quality. Aside from that it burns well, has an effortless draw and is smooth and creamy with tons of smoke. It's worth about what I paid for it at CI and the included sampler makes it a bargain. Make sure to let it rest in the humi for a couple of weeks before smoking. It made a huge difference with this one.
I love pepper and spice and everything nice, but occasionally I throttle on down and enjoy a mild or mild-to-medium smoke, and these VS Connecticuts are absolutely awesome! Every review I've read on CI that talks favorably about VSC's is pretty much spot on. Creamy, flavorful, smooth. A real steal at the price, not one of those "good, considering the price", but just plain good !!!
My most recent order was identical to my previous order with the exception that the most recent order was 5.5 inch cigars. The previous orders were 4.5 inch cigars. Not complaining though.
Great smokes for the price, had a few that were packed a little too tightly but otherwise great everyday smokes.
Always fast and ready to go out of the box
Great smoke! Everyone I give these to loves them. I'm sorry I handed them out. Everybody keeps hitting me up for more. The price is great!
Got the free 8 Victor Sinclair smokes for the large cigar order. These are great smokes! I prefer mild cigars but VS has a new fan. Highly recommend. Outstanding flavor and nice even burn.
Bought a box of torpedoes last year that I just cracked open a month ago. Am over half-way through the box now. Exactly as described. Nothing close to a dud in the bunch. Beautiful looking. Medium bodied with moderate flavor. Biggest selling point of this cigar is the consistency. Virtually zero difference from cigar to cigar, which often can't be said for brands far above this price range. Will buy again.
1 week rest in humi, lasted 1hr 10min. Not loose, no knots, well constructed. Pre light aroma was very nice and had a pleasant feel. Good draw from start to finish. Thick smoke and long ash. Mild flavor, nutty & creamy at first. Then hints of sweetness and spice. No heat unless I over drew on it. Very even burn. Nothing remarkable about flavor - would give it an 82, but considering bought from Po Boy 2 Sample - huge value @ 1.00 ea. Have 1 more from sampler with VS super samp on the way. Very pleasant experience.
I am not sure how you could ask for a better daily smoke. After my fifth box of either Churchills or Torps, I can officially call these "My Brand". At two bucks a stick, I'm consistently amazed by how much I enjoy these, sometimes even more than when I decide to burn a "premium". For the guy who enjoys a mild affordable daily, these are the ticket. They hold an even burn, a good ash, stay lit, and have a perfectly acceptable amount of smoke. (not exactly billowing, but satisfying none the less) The only downside I have seen, is perhaps a weak wrapper on one out of ten or so, but nothing you can't wet a finger and keep it holding together. It's more psychologically annoying than affecting the smoke. They are also (for better or worse) a relatively quick smoke, lasting closer to a half than a full hour. If a guy knows that going in, he can either pick something else, or burn two ;) In some ways it's nice to have a shorter smoke and actually finish it. I have passed a lot of these out to friends, and many have ended up buying boxes. Based on the old, "You get what you pay for,,," I give these a full five stars and then some.
Upon receiving my box of Victor Sinclair Torps, I said to myself what a gorgeous cigar, an economical price and WOW they come in a box of 30, WOW! My excitement and expectations ended there. I've gone through almost 1/3 of the box, I would have been better off trying to suck a golf ball through a garden hose! It was suggested that the humidity in my humi was to high and they should sit for a while (this didn't help). This cigar is just constructed too tight, it's evident by the feel and when you tap the ash...
This Victor Sinclair is mellow, smooth, creamy and toasty with a tangy hint of citrus. I just pulled a 2006 box from the wonder-cave for comparison. They are essentially the same as when fresh, a sign of excellent aged tobaccos. The draw is great, the burn perfect, leaving awesome snow-white ash of wrapper, binder, and fillers. Starts mild-medium bodied, gains a little toward the end, and remains tasty all the way to the nub!
Well I just got my stoogies(Victor Sinclair's)& freebie's.Put them in my humi, lit one of the Series 55 Maduro's gotta tell ya smoke alarms went crazy...Volume of smoke, right of the bat great taste of coffee&chocolate.Mild-medium in strength..This will be my next buy..Keep the Great deals comming Gents...
I JUST RECEIVED MY FIRST BOX OF VICTOR SINCLAIR CHURCHHILLS... I MUST SAY, FOR BEING ONLY A BEGINER IN THIS NEW WORLD OF CIGAR SMOKING, I HAVE NOT ENJOYED THE FIRST COUPLE SMOKES. I FOUND THEM TO BE VERY HARSH IN THE BEGINING AND THE BURNS HAVE BEEN VERY UNEVEN..I WILL CONTINUE TO LET THEM AGE IN THE HUMIDOR WITH HOPES OF A BETTER SMOKE IN MONTHS TO COME. ON THE PLUS SIDE, I HAVE ENJOYED THE BEVY OF BOHEMIANS... THE CAMEROON 55 (YELLOW) WAS MARVELOUS, I FOUND MYSELF BURNING MY FINGERS AFTER AN ENJOYABLE 2 HOUR SMOKE.. I WILL ORDER THESE ON MY NEXT PURCHASE... THANKS CI FOR GETTING ME STARTED ON WHAT HAS BECOME A GREAT PASSION...
I just received a box (or should i say chest of 30) Victor Sinclair Churchills. IO could not wait to try one and it is every bit as good as advertised. It is smooth and creamy without any touch of harshness no matter how hard you puff it. A lot of other mild to medium cigars are very harsh at the beginning and must burn at least an inch to inch and one half before it is bearable. Not so with the Victor Sinclair. This cigar is smooth from the beginning. I do agree with a lot of other raters in that it is a little green and needs aging but that's a minor point and can be remedied by putting it in the humidor less the cleo wrappers for a few months. HOWEVER... that is going to be hard to do! They are excellent!!!
I must say that since I have been getting the Victor Sinclair Churchill with the Connecticut Shade wrapper.....I have been very happy with my choice. I have not been a cigar smoker for too long now, but since I have tried these, I find myself on the back deck at least 4 time a week enjoying their flavor. Not only do I like them, but I have bought these for other people who have given them away for Christmas [ with great praise] , I have been buying now for 3 other people, and have sold these at a charity golf tournament with great results. I do hope these fantastic cigars stay on the list for a long time, I am a creature of habit, and I have found something I like . Thanks guys....great smoke.
WOW! What a CIGAR!....what a DEAL! After purchasing my first box of 30 (plus FREEBIE), I didn't hesitate to try my first one. It was an incredible experience. From construction, burn, draw and taste; for the first time I was enjoying a perfectly balanced cigar. I've had more expensive boutique brand cigars that are not as well rounded as these (Victor Sinclair). Immediately I placed another order, then a week later placed another order only to find out they were sold out. I backordered my 3rd box and it's on it's way to my as I'm writing this. Hopefully CI will keep this deal rolling so others can discover this sleeping GIANT.
VICTOR SINCLAIR TORPEDOS.....PUT THESE BABIES IN YOUR HUMIDOR(MINUS THE CELLO WRAPPERS) FOR 3 MONTHS(IF YOU'VE GOT THE SELF CONTROL) AND VOILA!!!YOU'VE GOT A REALLY PRIMO CIGAR FOR THE $$$$. I THREW A BUNCH IN THE BOTTOM OF MY HUMI A FEW MONTHS AGO AND NOW THEY ARE SO-O-O-O MELLOW AND SMOOTH AND FULL OF CREAMY TASTE I'M AS HAPPY AS CAN BE. I REALLY DIDN'T EXPECT THEM TO BE THIS GOOD BUT NOW THEY ARE JUST ABOUT MY FAVORITE MILD CONNECTICUT SMOKE....HELL, THEY'RE JUST ABOUT MY FAVORITE ...PERIOD!!! GREAT CONSTRUCTION.....GREAT BURN....GREAT TASTE...GREAT PRICE! THANKS, C.I., I LOVE YOU GUYS BIG TIME!!!
I agree with haalf of the previous statement at least; as long as Victor Sinclair and Indian Tabac keep making cigars then I too will be deeply satisfied. I've been around the horn with cigars and it was an enjoyable trip, but now I've found my home.
For my money, as long as Victor Sinclair and Rolando Reyes, Sr. keep making cigars, I will be satisfied. Deeply satisfied.
I tried the Victor Sinclair robusto for the first time. Not bad, mild with no after taste. However I must say it is no 5 Vegas Gold. Cigars International is my only cigar supplier from now on. A big Western Pennsylvanian "Hi yin's doin?" To the phone sales staff at CI. Keep up the great work.
Having smoked the Victor Sinclair torpedos before, I ordered a box. The day they arrived I rushed to light one up and was a bit shocked to find it spicy and full of cedar notes...Not the mellow creamy taste that I remembered. After 3 weeks in my humidor I tried a second one and viola! it was more like I remembered, smooth, mild, and creamy. In my heated rush, I had forgotten to let them breathe a little. The Victor Sinclair remains one of my favorite lines, the freebie sampler contains some of my favorites!
I am a huge fan of connecticut shade wrapped cigars. I have smoked Rocky Patel Connecticut, 5 Vegas Gold, Santa Damiana, Gispert, and even some of the ''buck a stick'' brands like Free Cuba, 1876 Reserve, and Joya De Jefe. My experimentation work was over once I had my first puff of a Victor Sinclair Connecticut. From now till the day I die, all I smoke is Victor Sinclair Connecticut. These babies are the absolute best connecticut shade wrapped cigar on earth! The draw and burn is perfect. I do not like anything spicy when I smoke, and this has no at all, just pure creamy clouds. An absolute masterpiece. No other cigar even comes close to these.
What a deal!!! 30 VS Torpedoes and the free 10 pack! WOW!!!! This Cigar really surprised me. It kind of reminds me of "The Griffin's" without the hefty price tag. The whole time I smoked it I tasted toasted marshmallows. It is very smooth and mellow with a pleasant scent. Very Tasty!!!! Thanks CI for such a sweet deal!
What a deal (Victor Sinclair)! A box of 30 Victor Sinclair Connecticut plus a sampler of 10 others free. If you like very mild smokes, these are just right. They burn slow and perfect with peppery notes, reminds me of a 5 Vegas Gold, but not quite as pungent. I'm set for the next few weeks, unless too many friends show up.
This Victor Sinclair is quickly becoming my favorite "all around" cigar, and this kind of deal (with the Bohemian sampler) is why I consistently order from CI and just don't bother looking for so-called "bargains" anywhere else any more. Keep 'em coming!
