“I visited the Sosa cigar shop and separate cigar bar while at Downtown Disney. Nothing that remarkable about either place. Premium cigars sold to tourists at premium prices. Really makes you appreciate CI.
The Sosa Vintage is veiny and unattractive. Everything about it says bundle cigar. The smoking experience, though not bad, was patently unremarkable. I kept telling myself that each puff would be my last. Alas, I stuck it out, giving the Sosa Vintage Pyramid its due. Not surprisingly, the cigar became more full-bodied the longer I smoked, but not more full-flavored. I have a 5-pack and a few individuals I plan on giving away to friends who favor CT wrappers.”
“Okay, I received my order of Sosa Vintage Piramide #2 and I immediately loved the look and smell of the cigar. It's wrapper is a littler darker than most Connecticut wrappers; it almost looks like a Criollo. I had heard a lot of good things about Sosa cigars in the past, but I had never tried one before. I put them in my humi, but I couldn't wait. After just a "few" short days, I had to try one. I was on the fence about it; I didn't dislike it, but I wasn't sure if I liked it enough to buy it again. To be fair, I decided to do the "RIGHT" thing and let them rest a while LONGER in my humi. Boy, I'm glad that I did. When I smoked the second one I enjoyed it so much that I ended up smoking three of them on the same day. The flavor was fantastic, the burn was perfectly even, the draw was excellent, and it produced huge clouds of smoke! As it burned, the ash was white and lasted almost 3" before it fell off on its own. That, my friends, is the sign of a GREAT stick! Everything I had heard about Sosa cigars proved to be true and I learned my lesson; you have to let them rest in your humi for at least a week or two to truly appreciate this awesome cigar. Keep 'em coming CI...at the rate I'm smoking these I'll be ready to buy more of them very soon!”
“Picked up a10-pk on clearance. Really enjoyable cigar. Well made and good flavor. Hope to get more as soon as my humidors get low.”
“Got the Sosa Vintage Churchills (5 pack). Nice appearance, no visible flaws on the wrapper, though there are a few chunky veins bubbling up from the binder on one of the five, but nothing breaking through the wrapper. Even feel to them, no hard spots. Let them sit for a while, and they were pretty decent. Nice, dark ash, lightening in the center. Fairly even burn, nice cone of ash throughout and no problems with canoes on any of them. Medium flavor with a taste of leather dominating about half way through until the end which was pleasant but not overpowering. They give me about 1 hour and 15 minutes of smoke time on average. Never unpleasant, they're a good deal if you get them on clearance.... - I wouldn't pay cigar store retail for them though. I'll definitely be getting more of these.”
“LOVE this cigar, got it in a sampler..... will be ordering more.....”
“I recently found a deal on 10 Sosa Vintage Toros in the Clearance area & couldn't be happier with the purchase. Saving over 50% off of the normal price is a good way to experience blends we might not otherwise get a chance to try. In the case of Vintage, the 6" X 50 frame is wrapped with a very old Connecticut leaf. The long filler has a lot of ligero, but years of post roll aging have tamed them to the point where I consider this to be a mild/medium bodied cigar. Construction & burn are spot on. Flavor is predominated by an earthy, woodsy taste with mild spice. All in all a good stogie. At the current price of just over two bones, this is a very nice deal.”
“Got a 5 pack of Sosa Vintage on a weekend special. Took one out of the pack and find it to be an enjoyable smoke. Even burn, nice ash , walk away for 5 minutes and it stays lit. Good earthy flavors with a nice finish, pairs well with a good bourbon. I'll let the others rest in the humi for a time. I'm sure they will be just as good and I would recommend them to friends.”
