“What an awesome smoke! I picked up a bundle on sale...sure wish I had ordered more! Thanks again CI- they really have some amazing deals, super fast shipping and A+ customer service.”
“I've smoked Reyes family cigars for several years, they are always in my humidor. This blend is not a dissapointment by any means. There are no soft spots in the rolling, yet it's an easy draw, lots of smoke. These are spicer and more flavorful, but still reach that creamy stage that I love about Purios Indios. I am smoking the magico size, I like some of the smaller ring guages occasionally. The next time i'm going to try the "lander". Well worth the coin, great medium flavored cigar. If you like Puros Indios, I think you will like these for sure!”
“Just like anything from Don Rolando's factory, this cigar is certainly worthy of your attention. The thing looks a wee bit rough which is not really unusual for PI cigars. The pre-light aroma is absolutely delightful. The ash is just the slightest bit flakey and the burn required the smallest bit of attention to keep running straight. I'd have to say this very flavourful cigar is just about 'medium'; an excellent choice with your first cup of coffee in the morning. Try this one...totally worth it.”
“I've recently bought Siembra de Oro Lander maduro. A lovely smoke - easy draw, very flavorful, creamy, slightly spicy (nutmeg, cardamon?) and delicious right down to the nub. These are a real value. But then so are all the Rolando Reyes smokes. Thanks.”
“Siembre De Oro. I got a bundle of the Cremas size in the maduro cloak. They were OK right off the UPS truck. The bundle they came in seemed to be vaccume packed and it sort of crushed a few in the center, leaving an odd box pressed look. After about 10 days in the humidor (out of the cellophane) they took on a mild cedary taste (from the humidor) which I found to be nice. All in all most of them burned OK, but a few had burn issues and were soft in the middle (as in a hole after about halfway through right down the center). They had a great taste but not exactly a flavor bomb, but good flavors that just would not hold on. The construction was good on all of them. All I can say is that the price is right,so load up on a good after work cigar, you'll enjoy 'em.”
“Boy I am glad CI chose not to print my neg feedback about this stick. Ok I jumped the gun with my intitial review and saying the earthy taste was like sulfer, magnesium, and phosphorus.Perhaps I should have waited b4 smoking 1 right off the truck. Anyway my apologies to Rolando Reyes and his mother. These turned out quite well after a couple days in the humi, medium bodied, mild spice and creamy. Yes creamy, i never quite understood what people meant by that but its that flavor thats almost sweet and very smooth. Anyway ive only found that in higher priced cigars b4 and really like it. The perla maduro is a lighter shade maduro but a perfect size for a 50 or 1 hr break. With all that being said, a pretty good little smoke for the price. I just ordered another bundle.”
“I first bought these from the "Make Me An Offer" page. I'd tried other cigars from Don Rolando in the past and they're almost always very decent smokes. As noted by at least one other reviewer (MM?) these can burn a bit unevenly at times and the ash is indeed pretty flaky. A short time back CI offered these as a Daily Deal and I cleaned up by buying several bundles and different sizes. I wish I had bought more! The maduro wrapped larger sizes are more flavorful--to me--than the #4 that I normally use for a driving/working smoke. These are pretty decent smokes for the money, and especially when you can get them on the cheap from CI! ”
“I'm most of the way through a bundle of the natural Magicos, and I have to say that I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of these smokes. I usually prefer med/full cigars, but this one fits into what I like as a morning smoke. It's got the typical Reyes construction - well rolled with a nice even burn, and the extended aging has really mellowed it out, although perhaps it has also taken away some complexity. Still, a nice mild smoke to go with a cup of coffee and the morning paper, at a great price. I'll have to try a maduro in a smaller size next to see if the flavor will be bumped up a bit.”
“Great cigar. Smooth medium bodied cigar with a nice draw. And you can't beat the price either.”
“Just got these in a week ago and smoked one the other day, and all I can say is WOW. Nice smooth smoke, great taste and an even burn. Diffently will be ordering more of these.”
“Like the Viejos, these cigars are hard to describe. They start out earthy with pepper and leather and finish creamy lacking in flavor. However for a bundle, what a price. I am somehow satisfied smoking these. Lots of smoke and excellent draw. They look like seconds. These will grow with age in the humidor. I am not disappointed.”
