Great smoke to sit down and enjoy

Enjoy as you watch the world
Four stars, only because after 20+ years of attempting to find the perfect cigar, I think it is still out there. Back deck sitting with family and a nice bottle of red wine THIS ONE...hhhmmmm....large cigar, smoooooth smoke...sitting by the ocean front watching the peeps and listening to the band.

Excellent smoke.
A very enjoyable smoke. I like a mild/ medium cigar and this fits the bill perfectly. Abundant flavor but not too strong. A very nice draw. A great all around cigar.

Great addition to the Partagas stable
Because I prefer smaller cigars, I purchased a 5-pack of the 1845 Corona Extra from CI. Has a beautiful flawless dark wrapper, excellent construction--would you expect anything else from Partagas?--and a medium+ body with a flavor profile to match. Generates copious amounts of smoke with a slightly firm draw which, for me, is a perfect outcome. I would recommend these to anyone who appreciates a well- made cigar.

Partagas is my Pick
I can always count on good flavor and consistant quality.

Surprising Strength and Flavor
Looking at the Partagas 1845 before smoking it, I was skeptical. It just did not look like the type of cigar I would enjoy. Halfway through I realized that looks can be deceiving. A very good cigar for a very good price.

Okay Cigar
Smoked the Corona Extra and the Double Corona. The Corona Extra surprised me with its strength. I really did not expect it from this cigar. I wish there had been more flavor to go with the strength. I mostly just got leather and some darker wood flavors. I think the 1845 Corona Extra might really benefit from some age. I found the Double Corona to be quite similar to the much smaller Corona Extra, only the Double Corona seemed to lose a significant amount of flavor in the last third. I kept smoking hoping the flavor would return but it never really did. Not a bad cigar but I really had hoped for more. I am smoking my way through an 1845 sampler. I hope I find a front mark that I like better than the Corona Extra and Double Corona.

Superb Cigar!
After a couple years of trying various sampler packs found online and overpriced one-offs picked up from the local cigar bars, I can finally say I've found my "Go-To" cigar in the Partagas 1845. Excellent all around cigar, with an oily wrapper and a great medium taste with a solid and consistent flavor. No issues with burn, pull, or construction, unlike many other name brands cigars I've tried. While it won't be the only cigar I'll continue to smoke, it will be the one I'll always keep stocked in my humidor.

The 1845 Gigante is truly a great smoke. Smooth, not overbearing. Perfect for a fall afternoon.

Great Smoke
Haven't purchased a box or even a 5-pack, however I received one either in a sampler pack or I purchased a single one, NOT SURE, bottom line I had one in the humidor and just finish smoking it. Great smoke, Coffee and cider all thru the smoke, decent burn, a wish it produced more smoke but the taste was A+.

Great Cigar
The Partigas 1845 is one of my favorite cigars. I enjoy it with a good book, bottle of wine and the rocker on the front porch. It has enough flavor to stand up to a heavy cabernet, not get lot in the tannin of the wine but actually enhances the nuance of the wine.

Tasty, smooth cigar!
Ive been a Partagas fan for years. Love them on the patio with some good bourbon, on the golf course or with the morning coffee. These 1845s are great! Good flavor, not hot, but full of body. All have a good draw, a lot of rich smoke, down to the nub. A little spice to them, but smooth. The wrapper is a dark, toothy, oily texture and makes the cigar. I also smoke expensive Cohiba gigantes, which I also love, but the 1845s are tastier and a more complex mix of flavors. Reasonable price for my everyday, go to cigar. I like them a lot!

Customer Testimonials
I had been wanting to try the Partagas 1845 for some time. I decided to purchase a 5 pack and man, these sticks do not disappoint. Bought the corona extra, nice thick smoke and well constructed. Burns evenly with no relighting all the way to the nub. A medium to full smoke, notes of coffee and spice and a dash of vanilla tossed in for good measure. Yes, vanilla. That is what I pick up midway thru this delightful cigar. A good hour plus of a very well constructed cigar. This one is now in my top ten smokes!!!
As a bonafide CI Club member I must state, that the cigar I hold between, as I type this review, is tasty and yummy; and I give CI 5-Stars for including the 5.5 x 50 in this month's (June 2015) delivery line-up. As I forge ahead toward my third month as as a CI Club member, I have yet to be disappointed by CI's Club member selection. Well done CI! Much love, T :-)
Got the 1845 Robusto in my CigarFest Sampler. What a treat! This is my first Partagas, but definitely not my last. Immediately put the Double Corona on my wish list. Hope it is just as good. At 7.2 x 54, that is my sweet spot in vitolas.
This is not my go-to, but it is my number 2 in my humidor. Fantastic stick. I burn my fingers every time.
Just purchased a box of the 1845 Gordo. Very smooth smoke that goes well with my Gentlemen Jack. I highly recommend this cigar!
The Partagas 1845 is simply one of the most impressive cigars I've smoked. I usually prefer a rich maduro. However I got two of these babies in the Partagas Perfect ten sampler. After I smoked the first one, I just had to smoke the other right away. Then I found myself regreting that I did not have more! Very rich and smooth smoke. A great roll out from Partagas. A little on the expensive side and worth every penny. I'll be buying more of these!
As one who is always looking for at least a Med to Full in a 6x60 for under $5, I may have arrived at my destination. This cigar and maybe the Diesel have earned their way into my "tuperdor".
This is a delicious Partagas goes well with my Crown Royal Maple drink, smooth mellow but with flavor.
Great cigar with plenty of flavor with a smooth draw. Will order these again and continue the enjoyment.
The Partagas 1845 gigante is a good smoke. It is especially good on those cool Hawaiian evenings and goes well with a glass of Crown Royal Reserve.
This latest showing from Partagas as a foray into the world of eclectic boutique cigars is just that, eclectic. This is a robust and punchy stick that you will be a bit disappointed if you try the "Black" series first then try this new 1845... that being said, if you have not, this won't confuse you as not being the Partagas standard bearer. The 1845 smacks of a similarity to the CAO Italia. both are fine cigars in their won right. This is a straight up 2" cut rib-eye and single barrel scotch stick right here... yet there are complexities in the draw and the bouquet. I just ordered from the bid site and picked on up as a promo from my local guy until my shipment came in, and was eager to sample the latest from Partagas. All I can say is wait until you hit the flavor pocket on this one, the 1845 also gives off a copious plume of smoke infused with the carefully selected blends of world-class leaf (mainly), Esteli and Conneticut working together to lend lush nutty yet flavorful hints tot he draw as you bite down on it. This isn't the Black from Partagas, but it is spicy, nutty but yet won't chop block you at the knees - good stick!
These are simply a great smoke, Just buy a box you won't be disappointed.
opens up with a citrus and sweet tobacco note and just gets better! Is there a bad patagas? Great finish, this is what I smoke cigars for. This one rivals the spanish rosado. Great job fair price too!
I ordered a box of cigars earlier this week from CI and when they arrived there was a nice little surprise inside the shipping box, a partagas 1845 was sent along as a sampler! This is a new line from partagas. This cigar is typical partagas, rock solid construction with alot of weight to it. The flavor profile starts off with strong peppery notes for the first inch. The rest of the cigar has deep earthy tones with hints of spice. The burn is even and nice and slow (again no shock). This is another home run for partagas. Check them out out, they are worth it!
Bought two of the Corona Extra today at my local B&M. Great quick smoke. Perfect burn, very flavorful, good draw. Really good in this size for a quick 30 minute smoke. At CI's prices will likely be ordering a box soon.
Purchased a stick of Doble Corona at a local cigar shop yesterday, brought it home and fired this baby up. Not Bad at all!! I normally smoke the Partagas Black Label because I favor Maduro Cigars, but I really enjoyed The Partagas 1845! Will not hesitate in buying a box down the road when I have room in my humidor!
Just picked up a gigante, dbl corona and a robusto. If the other sizes are as good as the robusto, this is a winner. Burn was right on, no touch ups. Very smooth, lots of flavor from end to end, draw is right on, lots of aromatic smoke, solid white ash. Nice , very nice. Wonder if it would get better after a little rest? We shall see! But A+ right out of the box
