I would like to know what they were smoking when they rated this cigar a 97 I bought these because I wanted to smoke a high qaulity cigar that did not happen.I had to relight these over and over again the draw was ok the last third of the cigar was well I just gave up.I'm leaving the 2 cigars in my box in hopes they get better.I bought a five pack because of the price.

This is a fantastic cigar. Flavor profile changes throughout with a lot of complexity. There is a reason it is a highly rated cigar.

My Father Le Bijou 1922 Churchill
The flavor is inconsistent cigar to cigar. Also inconsistent burn on some of the cigars. Based on reviews expected more than was delivered.

My father La Bijou 1922
This cigar smoked well. The overall construction was very good. I think that there is too much hype with the rating which goes along with the price. Quality smoke with great flavor.

Great Smoke
Been smoking the My Father Le Bijou 1922 Pitet Robusto for several years now, and these box pressed torpedo's are a great smoke, just like the rest of the My father line.

#1 2015 Cigar?
I purchased a box of 23 and after smoking 3, I have to say it is the most disappointing experience of my cigar life. Poorly rolled, hard draw, uneven ash and plainly a poor decision on my part.

Enjoyable smoke
Nice smoke. CA description very accurate. Though each palate is different. Notes of dark chocolate, dried fruit, hints of pepper and earthy leather. Some of complained on the box press draw - mine have drawn and burned very well. Though, I am not a "fan" of the box press shape. (Got these as a gift in a father's day box). First third is delightful. Full of flavor with a nice creamy smoke. Full strength, but not overwhelming at all. Second third is deeper, more tobacco flavor coming into play gains a bit of strength. Finishing third - very deep. All the above flavor notes are gone, or simply over shadowed. The dark chocolate does play in and out until the end. Last third is a bit strong, again, not anything that overwhelms by any means, but very deep and you can notice the nicotine. Bottom third reminds me of a Dark Fired Kentucky pipe blend near the bottom of the bowl. Very similar in flavor and effect. A nice cigar - I'll probably keep a few around the humidor at all times. The whole package is nice. Beautiful construction and presentation. Nice feel in the hand, and pleasant to smoke. I wouldn't give it a 97, but then again mine doesn't count. Every palate is different.

Very enjoyable
This paired very well with the mead I was drinking by the first fire of the year at my friends house.

I have been a big fan of My Father cigars and was excited about trying this 97 rated le Bijou. Unfortunately, unlike other My Father cigars I have smoked, this cigar seemed dried out, burned unevenly and required multiple relights. Disappointing and hopefully not due to a drop off in quality due to high demand for a Cigar of the Year.

Not a 97
I can not for the life of me fathom how this cigar got a 97 rating. I've smoked cigars that deserve that rating over this one hands down for example: Ashton ESG Churchill, fuente 2012 unnamed reserve and even the prensado to name a few. This cigar should respectively get a 90.

Le Bijou Petite Robusto
I had one come in a sampler pack. The rest is history. The Petite Bijou has a top shelf reservation in my humidor.

My Father's Cigar Le Bijou
Delicious cigar with amazing flavors and not overpowering. Great construction and easy draw creating a billowing smoke.

Great cigar for a comparitively great price
Definitely worthy of CA's "Cigar of the Year" award. It's super complex and a great deal even at this price point. I originally bought a 5 pack because I'm usually skeptical with cigar reviews, but I was so impressed I bought myself a box. This is definitely a cigar I plan to keep in stock in my humidor for a while.

Fantastic smoke!
I'm one of many on the box press kick now and this cigar did not disappoint. Burned evenly to the nub, stayed consistent in flavor straight through. Time to buy a box to fill up a humidor so I have them ready to go!

The Little Jewel
Great complex smoke. Pairs well with different libations. Full bodied smoke creamy in the core. I highly recommend

Outstanding Value for an Exceptional Cigar !
Excellent cigar ! Medium to medium full. Very smooth, stays consistent throughout the entire burn even down to the nub. One of the best cigars I've had in the last year.

box pressed is no bueno
You know... it's a tasty treat no doubt about it. I snagged some box pressed torpedoes and they couldn't get a decent draw off it at all. I finally got frustrated and started smashing the cigar and finally it opened it! But alas, I'm not a fan of making work out my smokes. I'd buy again, but perhaps in a nice robusto.

One of the very best I've ever smoked
Easily one of the very best cigars I've ever smoked. Top 3 at least, and maybe the best. Full bodied with great flavor. Leathery and woody with a nutty undertone. Everyone I've had so far has burned beautifully and had a perfect draw. HIGHLY recommend.

Great Smoke
I think Cigar Aficionado nailed it. Nice smoke and a well made cigar.

Great cigar!
Bought a box a week ago and the shipping was incredibly fast! The cigars are incredible!! I've smoked 5 since I got the box and they amaze me every time. Take me about an hour to finish one. Perfect burn every time with complex flavors that are a true delight. When I don't smoke Cubans, I go for something by Don pepin, and this right up there with the best I've smoked. The torpedo is defiantly better but this petite robusto holds its own..great price to experience the 1922 le bijou.

This cigar is simply magnificent. Nothing else needs to be said.

The Le Bijou 1922 took me for a joy ride.
The MF Le Bijou 1922 took me on a joy ride. You get the chocolate, cocoa, tobacco, slight cream and pepper notes. But I kept picking up something I couldn't describe. The last 3rd can get a little strong maybe even nicotine flavor profile on the tongue. Fairly even burn, doesn't go out. Mine did show some tunneling in the ash in the first 3rd but went away afterwards. I'm not sure I'd give it 97 but it's a keeper. One thing this cigar calls for is a big juicy steak and a nice Malbec to go alone with it. Man, that would be a perfect pairing. Oh, and the draw on this thing is perfect... Also mine was a slow burner. I had the torpedo box press and this is a good 1.5 to 2 hour smoke, so make sure you can give it the proper attention it deserves. But again, that last 3rd can get a little tough to handle, especially on a empty stomach.

Don't buy these, save them all for me please!

Impressive cigar Well deserving of 97 rating
I enjoyed one for the very first time last night and I was very impressed. Medium to full body smoke very easy pull. Nice even burn and as I smoked the cigar got better . Very well deserving of the 97 rating. I hope more become instock very soon.

A little piece of heaven
This was excellent smoke and well deserving of it's 97 rating. I'm adding a few more to the humidor.

I decided to try the Le Bijou 1922 after seeing its number 1 rating in Cigar Aficionado. I don't always agree with the magazines choices but I do this time. The Le Bijou 1922 is one of the best cigars I have smoked and I would rate it among my personal top 5. It's a well rounded, full bodied smoke with good complex flavors ranging from slightly spicy to slightly sweet. I'm not great with distinct flavors but I would say coffee and cocoa come to mind. 5 stars.

Great shopping experience
My expectation is very simple - make it easy for me to order and deliver what I ordered in a timely manner. CI always meets my expectation and that's why I'm a repeat customer

Strong and smoky
Lit one up this weekend and found it to be very smoky in the beginning. Once it got going it calmed down a bit. Very strong cigar, sent me in a spin. I'll try another and see whats up

A better dog walker.
I love this cigar. I'm a big fan of the My Father brand and this is a favorite. A medium plus smoke that burns evenly and draws smooth. The petite robusto size is the one I grab when I take Ruby dog for a walk. About a 30 minute burn that gives big satisfaction when you don't have or don't want to spend a lot of time. This is one to order.

Real winner!!
I don't always follow the ratings for cigars or really care about them. I try to smoke a broad variety while looking for what I like. So I recently purchased a box of My Father Le Bijou 1922 Torpedo Box Press and I love this cigar! Great, bold smoke and excellent quality. If you enjoy flavor you won't be disappointed.

My Father Never Disappoints
Completely understandable how the Le Bijou 1922 received a 97 point rating and 2015 Cigar of the Year honors. Fantastic cigar from beginning to end!!

Aside from exceptional packaging and shipping to a undisclosed deployment location. The cigar is delicious and spicy! Thanks CI

This baby is boxworthy! I try and save them for special occasions but I find myself celebrating stupid stuff just to have an excuse to smoke one!

Why isn't this rated higher?
Full body, slow smoke that only gets better as you make your way to the sweet spot. Top 5 all time favorite cigars that won't break the bank!

Le Bijou is AWESOME
One of my TOP 5 cigars, might need to buy a full box soon.
Customer Testimonials
This is a phenomenal stick - wonderfully smooth, creamy, and complex, and produces clouds of smoke as well. Overall one of the very best cigars I've ever smoked, however, the strength snuck up on me and unfortunately ended up being too much for me. Make sure to smoke this on a full stomach!
Excellent cigar! After a week in my humidor, these smoked great.
Great smoke (Petite Robusto)! I will certainly fire one up New Years Eve. Happy New Year!
Wow this cigar is awesome! I really love it. It gives You flavors you will crave and Hope will never until the nub. Rich and exceptionally full flavored. Different notes compete for your attention.
This cigar packs a punch and is a great smoke. Much spicier than the other MF cigars.
If you bought cigars purely by the look of the band this is it. And it is a wonderful tasting treat to boot
this is prolly my favorite cigar ever. i have atleast 10 in the humidor and it takes every bit of will power i have not to smoke 3 a day. also prolly the only cigar i will smoke till it burns my fingers*and not due to poor construction but more so lack of room to hold it).
The MF Le Bijou robusto is definitely a super premium experience. The intro is quite strong and spectacular with powerful notes of black pepper and muted bitter chocolate. About a 15 min in...the pepper dies down and the chocolate becomes creamy, smooth, and wonderfully complex. The undertones include some sweetness and a touch of black tobacco with charcoal. Awesome 50 min smoke time.
I can honestly say that there are VERY few cigars I've enjoyed more than the My Father Le Bijou 1922 Petit Robusto. The flavor and strength are just right - well balanced, smooth, great draw.... an exceptional smoke! Normally, I try to let my cigars rest in the humidor for a month or more before smoking them, but these babies never make it that long. This cigar is a winner in every respect. If you love great cigars, you should add this one to your "gotta try it" list - soon.
Let me start by saying I typically smoke mild to medium cigars, but I just got this stick in the My Father and Friends Sampler, and decided to light it up right away to see what all the hubbub was about. Wow was I impressed! This cigar was well constructed, had a tight draw, and produced plenty of smoke. All in all a great cigar for sitting outside on the deck, knocking back a brew, and reading a book during a stormy night. I will definitely be ordering more in the future.
I tried don pepin's le bijou, I thought it might be to full flavored wow was I wrong, what a great well balanced stick. best cigar I've smoked. love the petite robusto, the master has done it again.
Petite Robusto (4.5"x50) Received 2 of these in the Cigar of the Month package. My Father did it again, Absolutely FANTASTIC! 9 out of 10...Full Bodied and Peppery. Another finger burner from My Father.
This is absolutely my favorite cigar!!! A very complex smoke, beautifully constructed and oh so delicious! A home run for Don Pepin!
I got a 5-pack in the Petite Robusto (4.5" x 50) through the Whack-a-Deal after ordering another cigar through the Daily Deal. I had read somewhere that if a cigar smelled like a barnyard it was a good cigar and this one definitely had the barnyard smell when I removed it from the wrapper, so I was really looking forward to it. The pre-smoke draw was very good. When I first started smoking it I became concerned because it was very spicy. However I became very pleased when the spice settled down and the cigar smoothed out. The burn, smoke and ash were all very good and the cigar itself was very enjoyable. I am definitely looking forward to smoking the remaining four.
I got to try this in the My Father & Friend sampler, and let me tell you this is one damm good smoke! Wow:)
This is a cigar fit for Kings, and you need their money to purchase them. Since I had read so much about the My Father Le Bijou 1922, I had to try a 5 pack of 7 X 49. What a fantastic cigar, that it may be full bodied but you will never notice it due to the smoke being so smooth. It may have been a huge mistake in buying these, since I'm wanting more. The problem with that, I very seldom purchase cigars in this price range.
Nice smoke. I bought a five pack recently. I recommend you let them rest for a while in humidor as they can have an odd chemical sort of taste when fresh. After sitting in the humidor for a couple of months, no problem
The Churchills I ordered were fantastic in every area. It is medium to full in flavor, and has that earthy well grown tobacao taste with every puff. You can just look at this cigar and tell that it is well made, with construction second to none. This was a 5 pack order, and I've probably gotten myself in trouble. I was so impressed with the My Father Le Bijou 1922, now I have to try and sneak a box pass my wife. Do yourself a favor and pull the trigger on at least a 5 pack purchase.
I had to buy a box of Petit Robustos after the first five minutes of smoking my first. All the sizes are medium full and overwhelming with flavor. The box pressed torpedo is a work of art, maybe too much of a good thing. The Petit Robustos are a stronger quick fix in cigar perfection. A decadent treat.
I was introduced to this cigar from a friend while playing golf. One look at the presentation, without my friend's recommendation, would have been enough to convince me to purchase one. Dark wrapper, great lable, why would you not. After lighting it up, the cigar matched the look. Easy to light, even burn, smooth draw, and oh the tase. A little bit of a zing at the start, but then a mellowing that lasts throughout, down to the nub, which was somewhere near my fingertips. Makes one long for days ago and roach clips. Purchase one, you won't be disappoionted.
Just smoked my 5th toro from a box I ordered and I absolutely love this stick. The cigar starts off with a slight bit of spice and quickly mellows into one of the creamiest, smoothest smokes you'll ever have. Medium bodied at best, this smoke is filled with espresso and dark chocolate nuances that continually shift in depth to give just enough complexity. Good enough to eat! Been smoking cigars for 17 years and this one just jumped to the top of my list.
My wife and I stopped by my local tobacconist last evening before our weekly walk around the lake - helps us both unwind after a hectic week. She encouraged me to try something different (I usually smoke Montecristo's).When she saw these beauties she talked me in to trying one. So I grabbed a few and to the lake we went. I fired one up and thought it was wonderful from start to finish. Awesome nuances the whole way through! I can't think of a better way to end a week than having one of these fine cigars in one hand and my wife's hand in the other enjoying some scenery! You gotta try one of these Le Bijou's!
Picked up a five-pack for me and one for my buddy. He said they were truly a full-bodied gem. I agree. Stronger at the start, then mellows slightly as it burns; but, smooth throughout. Be sure to smoke this one on a full stomach. Good flavor.
