Customer Reviews of “La Aurora Preferidos”
I like the maduro (La Aurora), the wrapper is so smooth and subtle. Quite a cigar. 20.00 retail in california.

Just finished a LaAurora Platinum. What a delightful smoke. I've read about these and expected to be somewhat blown away by the taste. Nay, Nay I say. It was smooth on the palate, perfect burn and draw, yet quite bold in flavor, without being too strong. I've got my eye on these now for inclusion in my humidor rotation. As "Joe" would put it "well worth the coin".

Preferidos (La Aurora) may well be the best cigars I've ever smoked. The Corojo is my favorite, but every one is a memorable smoking experience. Not cheap, but if you're looking for a truly great cigar this is it. To quote Ferris Bueller, "if you have the means, I highly recommend you pick one up."

Smoked the Ecuador last night. It was the non-tube perfecto. Everything about the cigar's appearance said class. An odd, unrecognizable smell off the wrapper. First inch was somewhat unusual as I got a lot of the above mentioned smell (bananas maybe?). The stick settled into a mild medium body smoke with a decidedly Dominican flavor. At the end I definitely felt some strength. Based on my experience with the Ecuador I would love to try the other Preferidos. Nice cigar.

First premiums I ever purchased, and friends still ask me if I can get them. Attractive, smooth and creamy...the Sapphire Connecticut and Red Maduro always have a place in my home!

Every one of these (maduro) I've smoked has ended in my having burnt fingers, because I can't put it down. Perfect burn, perfect draw, clouds of smoke.... These are a super flavorful cigar without the headiness that most cigars with this much flavor have. They're too expensive (for me anyway) to be an everyday smoke, but I always make sure there's a few in the box. Absolutely one of my favorites.

I received a #2 Maduro in a sampler (Baker's Dozen Maduro Madness on Black Friday) and although I'd heard plenty of good things about La Aurora I wasn't sure what to expect. Without too much gushing I'd have to say that was one of the best Maduro cigars I've ever had! After the smoke cleared I did a little more research about these and everything I read about them is true. By the way, the comment someone left quoting Ferris Bueller is very appropriate regarding this wonderful smoke. Thanks CI and La Aurora!

Just finished a #2 Maduro. Wish I'd had a roach clip. It was that good, practically burnt my lips.

The question to ask doesn't concern the quality and flavor of this cigar. What I ask myself; is this a cigar worth the money required to obtain them? In no way am I trying to be disrespectful to CI or the makers, since La Aurora brands are on a high level in my view point. Nevertheless, does the cost justify the $200.00 dollar plus, required to obtain a box of these cigars... For me, the La Aurora Preferido was a very good cigar, with ample power, flavor, and construction. Even so, I could not justify spending the asking price for these smokes... It should be said that you need to try one, I suggest you purchase a 5 pack and make your own decision.

Pricey? Yes, but its not my daily smoke, so for me, that's OK. I highly recommend you keep a few on hand and enjoy. You will know where your money went with these beauties.
To those tasting bananas or similar notes. These are aged in rum barrels for about a year.

Always a great smoke. Classic!

Having received two of these in a sampler pack, I very upset when both of them could not be smoked due to construction. Thanks to the Customer Service team at CI, they sent me out two more that were top notch in every area. While I have no complaints about this cigar in the least bit, neither can I say that I have any cigars in my rotations that I would replace with the La Aurora Preferidos. This really comes into play when you consider the cost of these compared to my regulars such as Diesel, Davidoff Corazon, 601's, many of the Don Pepin Garcia brands, and even Oliva V. The cigars I just mentioned are not only cheaper in price, they are also great in flavor. This cigar has great flavor and kept my attention during the time of smoking. However, I'm not prepared to say that this cigar is worth the price being asked. You will have to find a sampler pack that has the La Aurora Preferido included, then make your own decision if their worth a purchase.

I took a shot on the ruby perfecto. It was pricey, but a really nice suprise. A good burn, plenty of smoke to go around and a very nice taste. Not to strong and makes you want to smoke it to the nub. Not because it's a little expensive, but because it is a great smoke. I will order one more box of 8 before the wife finds out. At $89.95 a box of 8 it's a pleasure.
