...Having smoked 100's of different cigars in the past, I have never found one that lures me back over and over again like the Diesel Unlimited. I picked up a sampler from the sister site, and after letting them rest for 1 week or so, I had the newly released "Unlimited". I cannot get enough. My routine after work is to head to the hottub with a tall glass of JB Red Stag and a good cigar. In the last week I've had 3 Unlimited's, a Ruination, a La Herencia Cubana OF, and a Rocky Patel Nording. After each of the latter, I caught myself wondering why I just didn't go with the Unlimited. BOTL, it's not that I dislike all other brands now, it's just that I fell in love with a cigar that I could have everyday and not crave any other. Keep them rolling, and I'll keep spending. Happy Holidays to all.
Delicious. Got one in a sampler. Tastes similar to Gurhka Legend. Winner at a lower price. Buy it!
I had my first Diesel Unlimited Beli right off the truck. Wow, this cigar has incredible aging potential. Nice sheen to the wrapper. Densely packed, firm in hand. Nice wrapper. Started off spicy, earthy and leathery. Then hit the 1/2 way mark ... and could still taste the flavors, last 1/3rd spice settled down and still had some of those nice earthy/leathery undertones. I'd say after 2-3 months this will be a killer cigar. Can't wait to try another after a month or so to see how much it's changed.
Good strong bold cigar. Will recommend it to all my friends. Enjoyed this cigar very much.
Move over Don Pepin. AJ Fernandez has FOUND the spice rack. The first third of this cigar will light up your nose with the best of them. I just don’t understand why he saddled this with the Diesel moniker since it’s light years ahead of the original. This should have been the next iteration of Man O’ War. Leaves me looking for Fagin so I can ask “Please Sir, may I have some more?”
Those Diesel unltds? Friggin awesome. Got the d5 and the d6!!
The Unlimited d.X is, in my view, an excellent cigar. The pre-light aroma is to die for and it smells just as good whilst burning. I believe it's on the low side of 'full'; plenty of smoke and lots of flavour. An even burn and a firm ash just rounds out the experience. This one's a 'keeper'.
.....just lit up one of the babies a few minutes ago.....if you're looking for a premium smoke in a modest price range, this is it.....not a connoisseur, but know what I like and this one really does it for me, all the expletives of fellow cigar heaven buddies above my post.....go for it w/o hesitation my friend...
I picked up 5 Diesel Unlimited d.6 toros, burnt through 5 of them in 4 days and put in an order for more. I gotta say gents it's one hellava cigar. This big ass 60 ring gauge baby is packed solid from head to foot, has a good draw, a slow even burn and a nice solid white ash. This size is at least a 60 minute commitment that will leave you wanting more. I smoked all 5 down to a nub with no harshness whatsoever. Complex and flavorful, spicey and full bodied, yet smooth and rich. CI has a winner here and their description is not fluffed. If you like your cigars big and bold Diesel Unlimited is your ticket to cigar happiness.
I was excited to try this blend since I'm a fan of the other Diesels. This one is a totally different animal. It's a fantastic cigar but as others have said it has more in common with the Man O' War and Ruination than the Diesels. I think my favorite part is the price point compared to the burn time. I smoke cigars fast and the robusto still lasted nearly 2 hours. For $3.50 ea. that's a steal.
It's odd by how different these are from the other diesels. While I find the Diesel Super Shorty (one of my regular smokes) to have more sweet flavors, the Unlimited Torpedoes are very, very meaty. These are very heavy, full-bodied smokes with an richness that borders on oily with salty and herbal flavors. They will give you the biggest buzz of any cigar not named Ashton VSG or Pvnisher. The best way I can describe them: If you wanted the sensation of smoking beef ribs, rather than eating them, THIS IS YOUR CIGAR!
Im lovin it!
The Diesel Unlimited is one of the best cigars you'll ever smoke! I lean towards full bodied "cuban like" cigars and this brand is simply amazing. It is a very close second to the MOW Ruination as my all time favorite smoke. I actually enjoy the aroma of the Diesel more than the MOW, but prefer the pepper and spice taste of the Ruination a bit more. The Diesel Unlimited is also one of the most earthy cigars I have ever encountered. It seems as if there is fresh dirt from Cuban mixed in with the filler leaves. An absolutely delicious blend that will impress any true aficionado. AJ Fernandez is a blending genius and delivers like no one else in the business.
I recieved a 10 pack sampler of assorted cigars recently and this Diesel was the pick of the litter by far. I was really expecting it to be nothing more than a gimmick, but it has a great flavor and a lot of honest smoking pleasure. This one is a winner.
Don't rush one of these bad boys because this cigar personifies the wolf in sheep's clothing. Diesels are made for the long haul so rushing one of these will leave you feeling like you were on the take of a severe butt-whooping from the master. Tasted great, but the price is a little out there.
Got one of these in the 12 angry men sampler, At first I didn't realize it was this new Diesel, I thought Wow! This really powerful, heavy black pepper through the nose at the recycle, Deep earth and cocoa, Quite a bit of the cocoa flavor actually, I would say it reminded me of the Alec Bradley Maxx a little, the cocoa flavors that is, that flavor is there underneath the power, And plenty of power there is, and Black Pepper.
I love these things! Nothing more relaxing, then lighting one of these bad boys up, jump on my harley road king and cruise. The only one that I have found to stay lit nicely at speed! :)
My go to cigar since the day they were released. Amazing flavors. Amazingly consistent. World class construction. Absolutely a cigar I love. Medium plus bodied, lots of spicy goodness. A "perfect" cigar for my taste buds. Love every size, but favor the 660 and 758. AJ Fernandez is clearly the best cigar maker on the planet at the moment. He not only masters a blend, but his team rolls a consistently excellent cigar. Hat's off to AJ and Team!
Just got my first box of Diesel Unlimited dXes last night & got the chance to light one up today. This is a great smoke, nice even burn, great flavor this is definitely a repeat buy for me.
I finally smoked on of my diesel ultd. that I purchased on joe's jambalaya a couple of months ago and have had chillin in my humi. I gotta say holy $%@#... I've always loved the diesel unholy cocktail, but this one takes the cake. I was a bit skeptical to try it because of the full-bodied description, but I must say, it's more of a medium smoke like everyone else has stated. I'm kinda sad I haven't tried this cigar sooner. It's by far the best deal I've got on CI so far... Viva la CI nation!
Balanced, complex, and delicious, but the unlimited is not "full" like the regular diesel or the LHC Oscuro Fuerte (two of my other favorites); it's pretty solidly a "medium." But it's beautiful. AJ Ferndandez makes the best cigars in the industry, often at the best prices. And CI makes its competitors look like con men.
Had my first d.6 last night after letting them sit for a week. Very nice cigar. A very unique flavor profile, however, nothing like the Unholy Cocktail. I found the Unlimited to be quite mild in comparison, and was expecting the complete opposite. I noticed the draw was a little loose, which can make a difference in the overall experience with larger ring smokes. The Diesel is one of my favorite lineups and the Unlimited continues to deliver. I found it had similar notes to the MOW Ruination and the Diesel Shorty. Definitely not the depth or strength that the MOW has though. I think the Unlimited will only get better with age. One thing I really enjoyed was the smoke. The aroma of the smoke is fantastic, and this cigar produces plenty of thick smoke!
OMG--!!!!--what a cigar. i thought the belicoso was just too good to be true so i just received a box of D5s and right off the truck, still warm, better than the belicoso, but almost the same. their very oily sweet with gobs of smoke. my lips and palate are ooooooo so slippery and spicy sweet. puts my cubans to shame. better than the unholy and the shorty and even better than the ruination and olivaV!!!! no s--t. also, perfect burn. can't say enough. you guys and gals got to try them. thanks
The 6x60 unlimited was one great smoke. I rank it right up there with the best I have ever smoked which includes some very expensive sticks.
I bought three samplers that included 4 each of these. I put them away for months and just tried one today (at least 8 months later). Damn, what a fool not to go to these earlier. They are right up at the top of the top with a great price. Excellent; burn, flavor, aroma, wrapper and strenght. A winner!!
Had the bel the other night. Let me just quote a guys tag from the sister's banter with my own twist. "There is one blender his name is AJ and I am his smoker."
I have smoked a lot of these in all of the sizes. After trying many different brands I am always coming back to these. Highly recommended and they age great as well. A must try for full flavored fans.
The Diesel d.7 is now my "special occasions" cigar! But don't get me wrong, I sneak one in on ordinary days, too! There's only one word for this one..."WOW"!!! Let it rest for at least a week or two in your humi and you won't be disappointed. Light up when you have time to lean back and just enjoy this beauty as time slowly passes on by!! The burn is superb and the flavor is smooooooth. Be gentle with the delicate wrapper, though. Treat this one very gently or its wrapper will want to tear and unravel; but believe me, the experience will pay off. Think of it as "taking your best gal out on the town on a very special evening." The rewards will linger long after!!!
I love this cigar
I finally experienced a medium/bold cigar that I really enjoyed all the way through to the nub. Usually I do not get that full experience. I will be buying a box soon, I just have to smoke my stash down a little as another brand of 40 cigars will be at my door on 4/19/2011 and another 50 count other brand of smokes for work. This cigar is great priced (by box) and would have never thought about buying if it was not for the CI Cigar Club of the month. I highly recommend this cigar and give it 92 as I love the flavors and the bread taste I got during the experience. Those of you not in the CI cigar club of the month you do not know what you are missing. You may not like every cigar they send but the purpose is to discover those cigars like the Diesel Unlimited that you would never have considered.
Went with the d.6 to start off with. I knew from my experience with the Unholy Cocktail that I'd enjoy this cigar, and I wasn't at all disappointed.
Burns slow from the beginning, and about an inch in you'll start to feel it in the head. The flavor is strong and the smoke is thick, just the way I like it!
Took me about 2 hours to finish this cigar, and it's the smallest size there is. I of course smoked it until I burned my fingers on it and still wanted more.
If you're looking for a cigar to impress someone with, this is the one. It's thick, bold, and packs one hell of a punch. Make sure you eat before lighting this one up. No joke.
The d5 is a delicious tasting cigar, that produces tons of thick smoke. When I open my humidor, these cigars exude a wonderful tobacco smell. I find these taste much better than MOW Ruination and have a price point that makes them easy to reorder over and over again. Perhaps they could make an even smaller cigar---maybe d4. You better have the time, if you light one up. Not a hurry up cigar!
Just smoked one last night. Came in a sampler that my awesome wife bought me. I smoked it till it burnt my fingers. I havent done that in a long time. This is a great smoke!
My humidor at all times have around 400 cigars of different brands, and cost, under the hood. They range in cost from a buck each, all the way up to the few that were $25.00 a stick. Without a doubt, the Diesel Unlimited is the most consistent in flavor, burn, and draw, than any of the others I have. When you have a cigar that you can't put down until your fingers burn. What more is there to say? For me, I will never pay for a high price cigar again after finding the Diesel Unlimited. It should be noted, that this review is after 7 or 8 months of smoking this cigar.
OK, this is my second post which I never do unless my first one wasn't posted. My reason for making a second post; YOU HAVE GOT TO TRY THIS CIGAR! Never have I smoked a full body cigar that has gobs of flavor while staying smooth, even, and great draw all the way down. If I came to the place where I could only have one brand of cigars in my humidor. The Diesel or Unlimited Diesel would be my choice. (Unless CI starts selling Cuban Siglo VI). Even if they did, this is less than a fraction of the cost of real Cubans, and I'm not sure I would pay the difference. Don't let the full body scare you away, it is so enjoyable that I doubt you will notice the strength. Order 5, order a sampler with one of these included, hell, order 1 with your next purchase of a different brand. The Man of War G2 has more sting in your palate than the Diesel. Many times the smoke of a cigar will start burning your palate when it reaches the end. NOT THIS ONE. If you want to enjoy over an hour of smoking pleasure, with gobs of smoke, flavor beyond my vocabulary; then order the 7 X 58. JUST TRY ONE
GOTTA TELL YA THE D6 DIESEL IS BY FAR ONE OF MY ALLTIME FAVS.!!I'VE BEEN SMOKING CIGARS SINCE I WAS A KID WHEN ALL MY BUDDIES WERE SMOKING CIGS. THEY USE TO CALL ME AN OLE' MAN..NICE RELAXING DRIVE HOME AFTER A LONG DAY @ WORK SMOKING A D6 IS SIMPLY PRICELESS..A MUST HAVE IN EVERY ONES HUMIDOR !
This is my current favorite "go back to" cigar. I find it to be deliciously rich but smooth and something I have sometimes had a hard time finding in other smokes... consistency! Everything about the Diesel, all of them is delightfully satisfying from the heft, the feel, the density, the rich color, the ash retention, the initial light off to sometimes pretty darn close to the nub.
The strongest in the True Grit sampler, which is a regular purchase for me. Powerful and well balanced. Beautifully constructed, looking identical to the ruination but different to smoke. Very strong tobacco flavor with a well balanced earthy note. Try one!
Well I have bought a lot of cigars from this site, but this is the first Fan Mail that I have written, and that is because this cigar (the d.7) is AMAZING. While smoking it I immediately bought a lot more of differnet sizes also. DONT HESITATE. The full flavor profile can not be beat for the price.
I bought a single balisco diesel unlimited. Wow I was very impressed. Great flavor. This is the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Can't wait to order a box. I paid 6.50 and could c myself paying 12 or 15 at any cigar shop. CI I love you guys....
Enjoyed the Deisel, trying the unlimited. Great taste but must have gotten a stinker. My mouth muscles are sore from drawing. Clogged smoke on this one, have to try again...
lord have mercy!!! this is a great not good cigar, smelling the unlit foot you get a feeling that this cigar is decedent, its a solid full body with nuances of semi sweet chocolate with a deep earth and wood that sits in your gut. Its got a great hint of sweetness on the finish , perfect construction on this awsome cigar. Buy 'em by the truck load!
Today I received my first box of Diesel Unlimited DX. From the moment I opened the box, I knew I was in for sheer enjoyment. This is a big, hefty cigar and despite its weightiness and dense composition, it is easy to light and burns evenly throughout with a light draw. Just as with the Diesel Unholy Cocktail, the Unlimited is an excellent cigar that I can easily see being my daily smoke. I only wish it came in boxes of 30 like its unholy cousin. Overall this is a fantastic cigar and definitely worth trying.
Picture it...45 degrees and no sunshine in sight. Sounds like unfavorable conditions to enjoy a week off work, but on the contrary! As I sit here in the garage I am thoroughly warmed by the smoke and aroma of a Diesel Unlimited and all I can think is WOW! This is my first Unlimited and let me say that this is a phenomenal smoke. Beautiful plumes of smoke and nearly two inches of ash intact I have decided that this bad boy with be a go to cigar for sure. Don't hesitate on this one, its worth every penny!
This, the Punch Bareknuckel and Man O War leave my other cigars wondering if I have forgotten they're in there. Diesel Unlimited is definitely in my top 3! Can't get enough.
I had been a VERY long time CAO MX2 lover until several months ago....and I have been in search of a replacement. I finally found it! The Diesel Unlimited knocks it out of the park for me right from the first draw to the smallest nub I can tolerate; the mixed flavor profile is fantastic.
Good, potent cigar, but my fav is the HOTD....absolutely fantastic!
Diesel Unlimited Salomon...Another great cigar from Diesel. Just as described: FULL FLAVOR.
A recent web order freebie netted me 3 big juicy Diesel Figurados that measure an immense 7" X 58. One each of the Hair of the Dog, Diesel & Unlimited. This special size is a fantastic way to enjoy these blends for about 90 minutes! The Unlimited is my favorite. I must agree with a previous reviewer, that it reminds me of Alec Bradley's Maxx, which is a very good thing. Thick, chewy, strong without being cloying, Unlimited delivers clouds of luscious smoke filled with robust & toasty goodness. Flavors of caramel, cocoa & just the right amount of black pepper are draped expertly over an underlying black tobacco goodness, that must be experienced. Freebies like this one allow me to try cigars I might otherwise overlook. In this case, I would have missed out on one of the finest full bodied, yet smooth & satisfying vitolas I have smoked recently. I made 3 online orders & ended up with 9 of these wonderful gordo figurados. Keep up the good work, CI!
....The Unlimited is not the full flavoured powerhouse I was expecting. The smoke is well put together and burns evenly, but it lacks any complexity as far as flavour is concerned and is actually a fairly mild tasting cigar....Perhaps if they tried a good maduro wrapper it would add come complexity to the flavour. I have about a box and a half left and I will smoke them eventually....
I found this cigar to be very disappointing. I got several d.7 sticks in a sampler. The first one I tried had rested about a month. Almost no flavor. Good construction, great draw, but completely lacking in flavor. Now, I am not saying it is mellow, I have had tons of mellow sticks with lots of flavor. I am saying the Diesel Unlimited has almost zero taste. Like sucking air trough a straw. I have smoked 2 more since the first one thinking it might have been a fluke but they have all been exactly the same. WOULD NOT PURCHASE AGAIN
I burn this cigar in the d5 and am currently on my 4th box of The Unlimited. This is a very good full bodied smoke that improves with some rest. They burn nicely but occasionally suffer from minor wrapper splits it isn't bad enough to deter me from buying more. The smoke is to the full side but smooth and creamy and just a great flavor profile. 4 boxes and no end in sight pretty well sums up how much I enjoy this Nicaraguan flavor bomb.
Had the d.x today, it was an enjoyable cigar that had multiple transitions. A lot of flavor and not too strong. The flavors were cedar, cream, and some sweetness. There wasn't much pepper. Overall a good cigar and I would smoke this again. P.S this was my first Diesel.
Habano wrapped cigars are a mystery to me. I know that I like many of them, others not so much, but the variety often seen with this particular leaf, frankly, amazes me. It comes in all colors from light mud brown to deep dark chocolate. Some are thin & may crack if not properly hydrated. Others are coarse & leathery, requiring a chainsaw to cap. Diesel Unlimited sports a muddy hued, thin Habano leaf with an ample amount of veins. The band is small but attached at the foot, which always makes me a bit nervous. As I feared, removing it causes a tear in the leaf that is over an inch long. Wet it down & go. Prelight is eventful, the stick giving off mentholated wisps of cedar & green tea. Nice. Lighting is easy, which is good, since I am smoking the enormous Gordo Toro. It's large! 6" X 60, a size I am finding lends itself to the Habano leaf & all the complexity it brings to the party. Good news about the wrapper tear. It has caused no harm & disappears once the ash reaches the zenith of the breech. No other tears appear, so maybe it is a tougher son-of-a-gun than I originally thought. But the proof, as always, is in the pudding. Unlimited holds its end of the bargain up by delivering lots of smoke, a firm ash that doesn't even bend as it grows ever larger, medium to mildly full bodied flavors that I am finding quite addictive & a price point that keeps even this monster sized Gordo under my strict "5-buck" rule. I liken the blend to Alec Bradley's Maxx, Maxx Brazil or Nica Puro. High praise indeed. Unlimited is milder than Maxx, less cloying than Brazil & not as pure to its Nicaraguan roots as Nica Puro. I prefer all three, however, Unlimited is different & very satisfying, in it's own repect. It can be a chore to rustle up Maxx or NP for under 5 dollars a vitola, at this size. I mentioned the menthol character before. It exists in the flavor profile while smoking too. I like it a lot & will keep a few on hand for a change of pace from the norm. An enthusiastic 91/100
Tried a Unlimited d.6 off the recommendation of a smoke shop. WOW! Great full body, spiced with just the right amounts of bold flavors. Glass of Knob Creek whiskey straight up and a Diesel Unlimited d.6 and you're set!
Mild cigar, not as powerful as its brothers
My limited (no pun intended) experience with this stick has not been what I expected given the many rave reviews on CI. I've smoked two 6 x 50 Toros that I rec'd in Kitchen Sink samplers (2 weeks in between smokes) and both have had burn issues. They have a tendency to tunnel and the draw is snugger than I like. It took double puffs to get a decent amount of smoke out of the cigar. Four to five touch ups were required for both sticks to keep them burning evenly. When the burn was acceptable the flavors were very much to my taste. Consistent medium body, no overwhelming strength, no discernible transitions. At this point I don't think I would purchase a box, but I will look for them in samplers and continue to test them out.
great cigar, smooth. The only problem I ordered a box on line dried out, tips crack and cigar unwrapped .
I would call this a "medium" cigar with nice flavors but due to the size and ring gauge - it really lost most of flavor all around. The burn was good, construction, draw, consistency all were good for me but I got my hopes up that this would be a full-bodied or at least medium-full bodied delicious love boat of a stogie like the smaller Diesels were for me but it wasn't. Close but no cigar. ha. see what I did there? For a gigantor smoke that is mild-medium - pick this up its good for the price. Don't expect much though.
The Diesel Unlimited is a great smoke for the money.... It has power, flavor, an even burn and pleasant retrohale experience. I think AJ is an underrated genius. This is one of CI's better full bodied boutique cigars for the money!
Holy Crap! If you enjoy medium bodied cigars this is not the cigar for you. However, Maybe some aging will help.... Diesel unlimited is over the edge fore me! I can appreciate the blend but the experience was way too much for me! The overall flavors and inspiration are great, but the strength was overwhelming. The construction is flawless. The draw was flawless. The pallet will yell "Oh my God" but the overwhelming strength of this cigar is almost unbearable to my pallet. This cigar is not for the "faint of pallet" Its a power house". Might go great with a heavy IPA or Imperial Stout beer. As the slogan says "you will never forget your first Diesel"!
I have fired up my very last Diesel Unlimited toro. That is, until I find more of them at the 6" X 50 size that came in the Kitchen Sink Sampler. With about 6 months of humidor time, it is, as always, one of my favorite smokes. Luckily, I stowed away a 10-pack of the 7" X 56 figurados from a great deal I found here back in April. I just can't run out of this blend. A myriad number of reviews have sung the praises of Diesel Unlimited, so I won't bore you with details. I'll only state that few if any cigars costing so little, outperform or taste better than Unimited. It's a full bodied gas! The comically large President is a 2 hour roller coaster ride for under 5 dollars. If you haven't tried 'em, do so immediately! If you have experienced AJ Fernandez's brilliant creation, I'm probably preaching to the choir. I previously rated Unlimited a 91/100, but factoring in the affordability, an everyday vitola of this quality could easily rate a 92 or 93.
Just smoked a d.X, first of a five pack. I'll be saving the other four until I need a reminder of how a good cigar tasted in the boom days ten years ago. Agree with those who have already commented that this is a little short of "full" strength. Reluctantly, because I'd like add to the description, I have to agree that the flavors mentioned in the Unlimited description all accurate and all there. The wrapper is remarkable though, oily yes, but in the silky smooth sense, not the dripping with tobacco juices sense. Overall one of my favorites, of which there are only a few.
I love the Gordos. Just be careful to put in the bottom of your humi first to let them adjust to humidity level. I had a semi-dry box once, which I didn't realize at first until I saw a couple explode (I still smoked them though). Great smoke!
Picked up on a Joe's daily...and have ordered more since. Good draw...lot's of smoke...burns great...I'm a fan. Just ordered the unholy cocktail...to steal a line from linebacker Bart Scott..."Can't wait".
Hyperbole Free Review: It's hard to imagine finding many cigars under $10 a stick with better flavor and quality. This is a heavy cigar with a good wrapper that is very well made. It benefits from some maturing - so don't be afraid to put these in the bottom of your humidor for awhile. Young cigars can have a harder draw, so if that's your problem show some patience. These burn nicely and have a very, very nice medium-full taste. The d.7 is a massive cigar that is a 2+ hour smoke. Perfect for a long smoke on the bridgewing during those nights at sea. The nice thing about the unlimited is that even the large gauge cigars have nicely balanced flavor. Too often, cigar makers just take a churchill and make it bigger. And the wrapper-to-filler ratio gets so screwed up that the cigar is junk. That's not true with this cigar. Though I'd still expect the smaller ring gauges to have more flavor, the big boys are still very enjoyable and well worth the money at this price. Enjoy. (I bought two more boxes of Diesels yesterday).
Got a few Diesels in my sampler, just had this one tonight. This was my first try with any Diesel. What a great smoke. Rich and full feeling, although flavor started I thought med/full, but last third turned beautifully full warm and oh how I love a nice spongy feel when I get to the end of the smoke. Took this beauty down to the nub. I'm very looking forward to trying the other 2 varieties I got in my sampler. I give it a 9/10. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.
Love the Diesels!
I am so thankful I found these cigars. The whole line of Diesel Cigars are amazing, they are quickly becoming my favorite cigars. Simply really good cigars.
Strong out the box will let sit awhile but worth the money for sure.
I really wanted to like it, and I won't say that I dislike it...however what I wasn't a fan of on this cigar is the draw. Maybe it was bad luck, but after smoking three of them, all of them have very little resistance, if at all. The taste is good, but I prefer the original diesel unholy cocktail.
Buy it. My choice of the Diesel line. Great price for a great stick. Leather and earth throughout with mild pepper picking up about mid stick & gaining strength to end, but not overpowering.
Definitely a full bodied, full flavored cigar. Was a bit harsh for my taste and there were issues with the wrapper coming apart, but lit well and burned evenly. When smoking you know your "enjoying" quality tobacco, but not a cigar. I would include in my regular rotation.
I just got done smoking one and with a little less than a half inch left I still didn't want to put it down! Bust out the tweezers for this one, it's that good!
Great full bodied smoke. Enjoy!!!!
1/23/15 I just got my 1st Diesel Unlimited in a Build-Your-Own Mega-Sampler (REDICULOUS BARGAIN!). Off the truck, Damn fine smoke! Spicey, but not harsh. Can't wait to see what a nap will do for these.
What can I say? These are the best cigars I have ever smoked! I can't say enough how smooth and tasty these sticks are. You have to try these smoke machines. They burn forever and you can smoke them all the way to a nub. Best cigar to date.
3/12/15 So, I'm back. Here it is roughly 7 weeks since my 1st Diesel experience, and I LOVED it right off the truck! I put a couple of d.X's down for a nap (and ordered another 5 pack). Decadent - rich and leathery with powerful spice on the front end that mellows slightly as you go. After a brief rest, the last of my 1st 5-pack is being paired with a 90 proof W.L. Weller 12 year bourbon to which I like to add just a splash of purified water - I know the taste I'm after & ice can over dilute when melted. Anyway, at the halfway point, I took the plunge. Yes, I dipped the end… WOW, what a treat! I'm curious to see how it will pair with a more "charred" whiskey, say, something from Knob Creek? Would love to read the thoughts of my fellow Bourbon & cigar fiends. Did I say,"Fiend?" I meant "friends!"
This is THE BEST dollar for dollar cigar on the market. Anyone who says otherwise needs to sober up and smoke another.
One of my all time favorites! Fantastic flavor and I love the strength - a must for any humidor!
My first Diesel stick: HOLY F****** S***!!! I smoke nothing, but full bodied cigars (Acid being the exception) and I kill 'em in 20 mins or less. Don't try it with this one. It kicked my ass. Awesome smoke. Top 3 easy. So many flavor changes. I'll be fiending for more 'til I get my hands on another one.
6/3/15 Okay, had to follow up, as my last review on the Presidente was negative due to impossible draw. Lit another out of the bunch just to see & was delighted to find that one of my favorite sticks still smokes great even at this large gauge. Whew!!! And as always, the Diesel unlmtd friggin' delivers! Try it with a dark'n stormy!
5/30/15 Checking back in on one of my top 5 favorite cigars. I just got 10 of these puppies last week at a helluva price (because C.I. is AWESOME!!!). As much as I love this stick, I have to say that these presidente's are damned hard to draw. Working on my 3rd now, and "working" is the operative word. The burn is sharp & the flavor delightful, but it's taken me almost into the last 3rd to start opening up even a little. I do recommend this cigar, but try the belicoso - MUCH better in the burning.
Everything I was hoping for in a cigar. Rich, well constructed, great smoke.
Diesel’s and the Diesel’s Unlimited’s are my daily smokes, full-bodied, full-flavored and best of all affordable. I wish I could smoke Camacho’s or Cohiba’s daily, but Diesel’s are a good alternative .
Great smoke, nice ash, hefty in your hand, good women, great drink, fantastic cigar, now that's a threepeat, be serious when you fire this bad boy up, because it sure is
Took a shot in the dark by never trying a Diesel and bought an entire box of the D6 gordos and I'm damn glad I did, Amazing!! I will definitely order more!!
Favorite..... These are the best cigars from ci..
Strong and tasty. One of the best stogies out there right now.
This is one heck of a stick: bold and satisfying, with a nice draw and a leathery/spicy flavor profile. The consistency from box to box is remarkable as well.
