“Nice smoke, Perdomo Lot 23 Maduro(the Belicoso). Starts spicy and full and quickly shifts to flavorful and medium. Beautiful construction, light it once and your done. Great all around smoke for any experienced smoker especially for the money.”
“Been dying to try the Lot 23 for a long time--a fellow CI Herfer just laid one of the Maduros on me, and man, what a nice stick! I paired it with a fine 7 year old Flor De Cana rum for an absolutely delicious, memorable, all Nicaraguan, and while watching the sunset from my front porch after a long day, almost trancendental experience. Firm but easy draw, perfect construction and burn, lots of smoke, and smooth to the nub. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! I'm a die-hard 5 Vegas Series A fan, but I'll smoke one of these any time!!”
“I enjoyed my first Lot 23 Madura at the Perdomo event at CI on 22 September, '07. This is a cigar I shall smoke a lot..excellent flavour, even, slow burn and beautiful construction. In my view, Nick Perdomo is one of the absolute top blenders and none of his cigars fail to please. This one is certainly no exception. A plus is that it's not even expensive.”
“People, just do yourseves a huge favor and try these. I love Perdomos, I love the Habanos, but these are simply in a class by themselves when it comes to the aroma and flavors. They smoke perfect, look perfect, and THE AROMA. Seriously, get your share of Lot 23.”
“Always liked the Lot 23 maduro...the second box I ever bought (after the Perdomo Habano)...now, I cannot get enough of the Gordito...I smoke it down further than almost any other cigar and it is great the whole way through...hooked many a friend on to them to. Told my local shop about it, he brought in a box - gone in 10 days.”
“Let me just say I'm still a novice, so if my descriptions seem a bit rookie pardon my greeness. :) This Perdomo Lot 23 Maduro was the first cigar I smoked from the Mega Sampler I got from CI. The only mistake I made with this cigar... burning it right out of the shipping box and not letting it sit in the humidor at least a few days. What can I say...? I'm like a kid on Christmas morning when I get stogies. The only reason I say it may have been a mistake is because I sampled Lot 23 that day, then waited another week to burn the 2nd stick of this from the sampler and had 2 strikingly similar but different experiences. 1st burn was good, and enjoyable. Started off a bit peppery, but was smooth and creamy, the way I like it, but I noticed it may have been a tad dry as it seemed to get hotter and ashier half way through. It was still flavorful and all, but just noticed the hint of roughness. That 1st night I marked this cigar in my personal ratings as a 8.5 on my 1st burn, the seemingly on above average score mindful that maybe I had screwed up being so eager to burn this right of the shipping box. Now the 2nd burn after it was in my humidor for a few days, a different experience in that I thoroughly enjoyed it even more! Again started off just a tad peppery, but after that it was even more flavorful and creamy and nutty than I remembered a few days earlier. My experience was I "felt" like I was having a nice good iced cappucino with a shot of whiskey on a hot day! It was that enjoyable. Great cigar. New personal rating after the 2nd try - 9 out of 10! CI has made it hard for me to decide which I like best from the Perdomo Mega sampler, or is it more that Perdomo has made it hard for me to decide, I really am loving their line of cigars thus far - 4 for 4, and I got the Habano to try from the Mega sampler left, this weekend! ...and that's my 2 cents worth. Novice - EG”
“What a great cigar for the price. These small lot Nic puros are one of my favorite maduros to date. I encourage anyone new to this blend or Perdomo to try a 5 pack and try one every three months, if you can wait that long. But the wait is well worth it, I was almost unimpressed when I first tried them, but give it a couple months and they open up and display a fine array of coffee, cocoa, cedar, with a pleasant sweet finish all in a smooth leather and silky billow of smoke...you can thank the broadleaf wrapper for that one. I can compare this to an Ashton maduro, except by the 2nd third you'll notice that it forms a strength profile close to the original MOW. Essentially, most nicaraguan premiums with proper rest develop this way, but with Perdomo you'll notice the family name lives up to their reputation for quality. They just grow on you, and patience will deliver.”
“JUST WANNA SAY THIS IS ONE HECK OF A SMOKE!! GOT IT FROM A LOCAL TOBACCONIST THAT CHARGES WAYYY TOO MUCH FOR IT... ONLY BEEN SMOKING CIGARS FOR A LITTLE WHILE BUT THIS IS ALREADY MY FAVORITE!! NOT HARSH DOESNT BURN HOT A NICE SLOW SMOKE... TOOK ME OVER AN HOUR.. AND LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!! WILL BE ORDERING SOME FROM CI SOON!!!”
