“It's no wonder the 1844 Reserve was among Cigar Aficianado's Top 25 cigars for 2012. Great flavor! One of my favorite cigars and I smoke plenty in a week's time.”
“My, this is a TASTY CIGAR! I got a box of the Belicoso and they are spice sticks! Rich, but not to strong. Creamy but not to mild. Oily, oily wrapper that is bronze chocolate! The draw is perfect, the burn is perfect! I have smoked Cubanos that were not this good!
Get a box of these and add them to your humidor. Great job H.Upmann!”
“Absolutely Enjoyable!! Visited a local Cigar shop and purchased one Churchill H.Upmann 1844 reserve to try out. Smoked it at the lounge area and fell in love with it! I'm a maduro smoker but I really enjoyed it so much that I went ahead and purchased the only box of Churchill that they had! I thought that it was going to be like a natural taste,NOT! It was smooth and tasted like a maduro. Upon running out I will not hesitate to buy another box!
“I'm a beginner cigar smoker, but have been a lover of fine bourbons for years now. I've tried a dozen or so cigars to find my preference and I have to say... WOW! I have found it. I am completely caught up in the flavor patterns of the 1844 Reserve maduro... I love it! This cigar will have its own seperate humidor that's mine and mine alone :-) There's not much I can say except WOW.... On a side note, I randomly found out that a root beer makes an awesome flavor explosion with this smoke.”
“Tried a Belicoso for the first time and wow! Super creamy and great draw. I was feeling the power towards the end but kept going till my fingers were burning hold on to the smallest of nubs. Holy cow! I had to sit down a bit to recover from the power of this bad boy. It comes across as a medium flavored cigar but it packs a punch. I guess smoking on an empty stomach didn't help but I love it and will definitely be ordering more. Just make sure you eat...”
“This is not my father's H Upmann! I tried this US legal brand many times over the 40+ years I have smoked cigars and found them boring and too lacking in taste and strength. I just returned from Paris where I smoked several Cuban Upmann Reserva Limitada 2009 maduro cigars and found them great and much better than they used to be, so I tried this US legal Upmann in a churchill upon my return. They have also really changed, and this now is a great cigar. Medium in taste, but medium-full in strength and tasting almost like a maduro, it will make a great change of pace between the Diesel Unholy and other full strength cigars I usually smoke. I can only guess that they have added Nicaraguan ligeros to it. I would say it is just as good as the Cuban products and at 1/3 the price.”
“This is a great cigar! I detect notes of almond or cherry, something that gives it an incredible and unforgettable flavor a few minutes into smoking it, when the flavor profile opens up a bit. If you want to buy a quality cigar at an affordable price, this is the cigar for you!”
“Man, I tried one of these things on lunch at work and was puffing away on it trying to hit every flavor that I could, since this stick had more than a couple. Super smooth and creamy at the end, and found myself smoking to the nub 15 minutes late from lunch! Competes with Romeo Y Julieta's without a doubt. I want more”
“While not having the gift of flavor descriptions as many do. I still believe I can do justice to the quality of the Hupman reserve 7x50. I've truly been blessed when it comes to the amount of different brands I've smoked. Due to my job taking me to different parts of the world. This gave me the chance to purchase Cubans, & others that were made within a country I was in. Nothing like a tour of a well known cigar factory then purchasing a few at the end of the tour. My reason for giving this information is to establish I have some credibility. Upon lighting the Hupman my first thought was how similar it was to many top shelf cigars such as AVO XO, San Cristobal, The Garcia line, & even a modest priced Diesel or RP Edge. It was very bold yet not over powering, that produced a smooth creamy smoke. Plenty of ash along with smoke, produced an even draw all the way down the Churchill. Never was it harsh, bitter, or numbed your palate. With enough strength to please, yet you never seem to notice anything but how well it developed inch after inch. This is not a fast smoking cigar & should never be smoked when In a rush. I will leave it to others who are far better than I to give the different flavored notes you experience within this cigar. A must try for those who love to find new quality cigars.”
“Very easy to light. Excellent construction, draw and burn. Minimal resistance on draw. Voluminous smoke output. Smoke is thick and creamy on the palate. Medium to full strength with medium flavors. Initial flavors of chocolate and cream upon first light add dark fruit, leather and nuts. A slight black pepper spice randomly appears from time to time on the medium length finish. A very consistent flavored cigar with a noticeable increase in strength on the second half.”
“Superb smoke! Tasty and terrific with a good Cab!”
“This is the only cigar I keep in a humidor all its own. I find them to be the most enjoyable of all the brands I smoke.”
“Enjoyed the Churchill for over 2 hours last night during a poker game. Overall, not the most complex of flavors, but a nice mild-medium taste and aroma. Smooth, easy, even burn and draw.”
“Wonderful cigars for the price. Good taste, good build, good smoke. Good. My daily cigar.”
“the Upmann reserve is a smooth tasty medium strength cigar. It lights well burns evenly and is a good smoke.
