I am glad to see CI has finally brought this cigar to their already stellar line of cigar choices. About the cigar, a co-worker gave me one of these last year sometime and I was blown away. I was always a mild cigar smoker until this one. Im not going to get into the nuances of the smoke since it has been over a year, but trust me it is a great cigar. I will be on the look out for it to be on the daily deal....
The Gran Habano Azteca Double Maduro is an easy cigar to smoke. Smooth, rich and medium bodied. Gran Habano makes a stellar line of cigars at a wonderful price point.
Please read CI staffer Brock's review. My first Azteca was sent to me by a BOTL from Louisiana. It became my favorite Gran Habano. I have enjoyed the 3 Siglos/3SLS, the Azteca Fuerte, the Corojo, etc, but I just really like the tang this thing has ... Brock mentioned a citrusy taste, which I likened to a rare sip of good tequila that I have had. I will disagree with him on the label and the box, I find them very attractive, as cigar art is one thing I really appreciate in the cigar culture. The one's I have had are the short belicoso, the El Aguila. I'm hoping to try the toro soon. And, I have bought a bottle of top shelf tequila, that I'm hoping some day soon (now that spring is here and summer on the way). I will be able to share and pair with another GH Azteca.
